There was a slight delay in the install, because they have been very busy. Due to that delay our contact at OOL left the company. This resulted in some confusion on our particular installation. Kyle, the owner, stepped in and saw to it that our job got some extra attention. We were very impressed that he cared enough about his business to make sure we were happy with our product. When a company is growing it's easy for things to 'fall through the cracks'. I can see that Kyle is dedicated to quality and customer service. Beginning with my initial outreach, Ryan was always timely and responsive which is a great reflection on how the company does their business. Honestly in this day and age, it feels nearly impossible to hire people to do work which is why we ended up reaching out to Oregon Outdoor Lighting even though we live in California. The initial plan was to hire Ryan to design the lighting layout and he would help find a local team to do the install. (Ryan flew down and back in one day, spending the whole day at our house doing onsite design.) Let me take a pause to say that having a outdoor lighting specialist design for you is an entirely different product than having a landscaper install low voltage lighting. I knew I was willing to pay for the design aspect. And the design is phenomenal. As it turned out, despite his connections, Ryan couldn't find a local person who would return his calls either to do the install. But instead of leaving me hanging, we arranged for an install crew team to drive down from Oregon to Californian. During the install week, the team of two arrived on time and worked hard from early in the morning until late in the afternoon daily. They cleaned up at the end of every day so you couldn't even tell they had been there. They stayed an extra half day when I requested some add on's mid-week. We had two nighttime walk throughs on the last two nights so adjustments could be made. When they accidentally hit a sprinkler, they fixed it. They made sure everything was functioning before they left. Two weeks after they left we had some heavy rains and the lights flickered a bit and one day they didn't come on. When I reached out to the installers and Ryan, they all had suggestions that fixed the problem temporarily but when it happened again, they suggested I call an electrician because they had thought one of the outlets was faulty during the install. Indeed that turned out to be the problem, I just wished they had informed me when they suspected that during the install. Since then, we've encountered quite the historic series of atmospheric rivers (which also led to power outages) and despite all this, when the power returns, the lights come on every evening and turn off every morning. I'm so pleased every time I drive home or peer into my yard. Would 100% do it again. P.S. I have this incredible admiration for outdoor lighting design now. Driving by other homes, I realize what a difference it makes.

We heard about Innovative Nightscapes on 750-AM The Game and Paul and his design team were outstanding. He had great ideas and the lighting job was done quickly. The result was a Street of Dreams feel. You could go to Home Depot and put crappy lights out or call a competitor and get over priced fixtures but Innovative Nightscapes is where you should be if you want quality work and great lighting. We even had them do our Christmas lighting!

You can pick up a pack of light bulbs from them or buy only a few, just bring cash or check. We picked up some three hard to find fluorescent light bulbs for less than a total cost of $20.00. If we were to purchase them elsewhere, we would be spending $15.00 for just one of the identical bulbs.

While based in Portland, they do projects worldwide (like on Disney cruise ships for example). They are happy to discuss design considerations and like to be creative (fountains, rounded edges, intricate designs, etc). Their showroom speaks to this, with a variety of example applications of stone intended to inspire. They have connections with several local stone providers to source the material from. I have been so happy to have a pellet stove this winter. My energy bills have been down over 40% for the last few months. It doesn't completely offset the cost of pellets but it's close. The other two places, I will leave names out, 1 was a lot cheaper, but customer service was off. On top of that, I read some bad reviews. The 2nd spot, was a bit cheaper, about $400 but I wasn't too sure, had an off feeling about them too. Extended Homes was the most expensive, however, the service I received from Rachel made me feel so confident. To me, because of her reassuring us and the way she helped us every step of the way... she even told us not to do a few things, made me feel like she truly wants us to be happy, and not in it to make more money.
