From the first meeting, I told them I was looking for a contemporary/modern style. I provided the designer with a multi-page PDF of inspiration images and links to examples of landscape designers I liked (that don't live here). Long story short, they couldn't deliver a contemporary/modern landscape design. But, instead of owning that at the beginning of the process, they let me know after two disappointing design rounds and a $700 deposit down the drain that they "believe that your desired design aesthetic is outside the scope of our expertise". They had all the information to make that determination early-on but took on the project anyway. The only saving grace and reason they aren't getting one star is Theresa. She's a hoot and I loved talking to her. I think she did her best and made every effort to save the project when she saw it wasn't working. Now, I've had to start over at square one 6 months later--when I hoped I would have had my landscaping installed and ready to enjoy by fall. Super disappointing experience that could have been completely avoided from the get-go.

Open junctions, inoperable outlets and switches, questionable wiring, and unfinished projects: these are some of the trappings of owning an older home. Paul came out to do an estimate on our project. I had the project bid by multiple companies. Winner's attitude, willingness to take on the project, and prompt follow up with a quote earned them the job. We had a scheduling mishap, but I won't take stars off for that. It was resolved quickly. I am super happy with the work completed. The electricians came out and worked most of the day in all areas of my home. They replaced breakers, outlets, switches, and resolved loose and unsafe wiring that was downstairs and in my garage. Winner answered my questions, and if something didn't seem right, they worked together to find the root cause of the issue rather than applying a workaround. I was so happy with the work completed, that I hired Winner back a second time, a couple weeks later, to complete the wiring to an outbuilding and reconfigure the wiring in my garage. That work was largely completed Friday - waiting on a part to finish up a couple aspects, but I'm happy with this work as well. I would use their services again, and I would recommend to others.

In addition to my needing a new electrical hookup for a new-to-me, preowned hot tub, I also needed to have my electrical panel adjusted a bit to make room for the related breaker. During the free estimate Kurt provided, he took the time to really listen to my preferences and discuss different ways we could run the electrical from the house to the backyard. It was clear that he knew how to prioritize and emphasize an installation that was safe and up to code, while nevertheless making sure that the final setup would be something that met my needs and expectations. (And I won't sugarcoat it - as a woman homeowner who, minus electrical work, is otherwise really handy around the house, I super appreciated that he didn't talk down to me or pooh-pooh my ideas or make me feel like I was about to be sold headlight fluid!) His bid was very reasonable, especially considering that there were some complicated aspects to the install, and he took care of all the permitting. He politely called about 30 minutes before he was supposed to arrive, worked really hard doing a gorgeous job on the installation, used quality materials, and kept me in the loop about any snags he might have hit (e.g., the hot tub was being cranky with the new GFCI box and, without missing a beat, he called me over, did his best to troubleshoot it, and talked me through everything he was seeing). From the outset, Tyler was a great listener and really thoughtful about how to get our house exterior looking just the way we want it. He would tell me if he thought something might not work well (like my too-light color suggestion for our concrete patio) or which colors might not hold up well over time; and then give suggestions on what could work better. He's a true expert on old houses like our 1938 house with original cedar shake siding that has some layers of lead paint. Regarding cost--they were the second-lowest bid out of five bids (probably partly because they are one of the only ones who really listened to our desires and didn't add a bunch of stuff we weren't looking for to the bid) and the only company who was willing to remove & replace all house attachments needed such as trellises and storm windows, including a very large and heavy storm window on our front picture window. Worth every penny of investment to absolutely LOVE how our home looks. Tyler and crew are everything we hoped for...professional, punctual, super hard working, easy to work with, great attitudes; and they paid great attention to detail. They painted our entire exterior when we first met them, and when Tyler was out recently to bid a job, he told me that we did not need to paint the exterior again yet! Talk about loyalty inducing! They painted our 2-story living room when the paint began to "chalk" (gets dusty looking, nothing fixes it, except Shades of Rose) and in 2 days they fixed a problem that was making me embarrassed for two years... Most recently they did a great job painting the front door so it looks good as new. Definitely recommend.
