It's clean, and they do a very good job with both regular and gel mani/pedis (plus, they're efficient; you aren't in there for two hours just to get your nails done). Service: Although the service was great and staff were very friendly, I can't say I would recommend this nail salon. I was a bit disappointed with how my nails turned out, and it doesn't seem like the staff pay attention to detail. My nails weren't painted as close to the cuticle as I'd like them to be. It seemed like a rushed job and turned out a bit messy. My friend, who was with me getting her nails done also, felt the same way. It seems that the staff just rush through customers in order to get to as many customers as they can. I definitely won't be returning to this nail salon. Ambiance: The place is nice, modern, and kept clean. The place isn't too big - only about 10 stations in the back for pedicures. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this nail salon. I genuinely wish I had read ALL of the reviews before I opted to choose this salon. I was in a rush and wanted to get a gel pedicure. I had gel and acrylic tips on my toes which had to be removed. I was quoted 95 dollars for a fill with gel. I opted to just get a gel pedicure and was quoted 90... there was no foot scrub, no soap in the water, no real effort to remove cuticle or anything. The pedicure was not good in general. The French design doesn't look clean. I then paid and I was charged 97 dollars.... When I asked where the extra 7 dollars and change came from besides the 3% service charge I was told "umm tax"... the staff were friendly. No attitudes no disrespect but I ultimately felt unsatisfied. Seeing all the reviews about race makes me wonder if my outward appearance influenced the service I received. I hope not. read more

I have gone to Aurora Nail & Spa for over a year. I have been deeply pleased with pedicures, manicures, foot and back massages, and with the selection of cat eye gel polish. I reccomend Aurora to my friends, clients, and neighbors and have even taken my friend here for her birthday. I once had to leave urgently, immediately after I had begun a pedicure service, and they were extremely accommodating to my stress. I appreciate their membership program and points system, which has saved me money over the course of the last year. I trust them completely to take good care of me and have had extremely skilled and positive experiences with multiple staff members! So glad to call this my regular spot. read more

I asked for a pedicure and they put my foot in plain water no soap and nothing. You have to pay if you want salt which usually comes with a regular pedicure. Then he didn't clean the skin around my toe nails. I asked him if that was it and he said yes. I said ok please do not continue. I don't want to blame race but he didn't really want to do my pedicure from the beginning. I waited 45 minutes to be seen. All he did was remove the polish. Got a regular gel manicure and 5 fingers have peeled or chipped in 4 days i spent $70

Do not come here if you are of color or mixed. I came in expecting a wonderful experience after a long day of work, I live in the area. Unfortunately I wasn't greeted and many people skipped me while I waited. I felt so embarrassed and felt as if I wasn't good enough to be addressed. Was hoping to find and like a new nail place in the hood but this will definitely not be it. The whole place felt sterile and understaffed and the staff seemed overwhelmed to try to accommodate customers so the service felt a bit rushed. Had asked for a powder manicure and have never had one where they don't thoroughly clean your nails and hands before final coat. Sure enough, after the top coat it turned out streaky and when I pointed this out, the tech tried first buffing it to no avail and then proceeded to do a gel top coat and put me under the UV lamp. Needless to say, one of the reasons I don't do gel is to avoid the UV lamp. The tech was aware I was unhappy but was eager to get to the next client so really didn't make much effort to make it right. Very disappointing experience especially for the price which is on par with much nicer salons nearby. read more
