I randomly came by this nail salon on a Saturday evening and was helped right away. I showed them a photo of a French ombré gel manicure and I got just that. The gel is $38 plus an extra $20 for the ombré, which took about an hour. Tan was my nail tech and he was very detailed. My nails came out absolutely perfect and also maintained itself while keeping my nails strong and healthy. This is such a spacious, clean, and nice nail salon. I've frequented this salon a few times, for manicure, pedicure and gel manicure services. They are quick to provide services and helpful with choosing colors. The manicures and pedicure services are very good, the salon is clean and colors are kept up-to-date. My only issue is that most of the technicians do not speak English and it's hard communicating with them, unless one or two of the techs who do speak English interprets in your behalf. Overall no complaints on the quality of service and techniques used as my regular manicures can last 6-7 days without chipping and gel manicures last over 10 days without chipping. This section of Brooklyn hardly lacks for nail salons, but some are a bit overpriced while others look totally sketchy. LL Nail Spa struck the balance of looking good while not seeming like a place where they would charge $20 for a basic manicure so I checked it out before meeting a friend one day. My manicures are very straightforward. Clip the nails, trim around the nails, buff the nails - basically a hand "tune up". In general I find that bad spas will rush this because they want to make the quick buck and toss me out as fast as they can. I never felt that at LL. Instead, they were very friendly (but not super talkative) and they took their time with my manicure while still being efficient. I never felt they were rushing and I think they did a good job. When examining my nails afterward they did not seem to miss anything that I noticed. Do not waste your money here! I went in for a gel mani + reg pedicure (which by the way they advertise as $53 but it comes up to $57). This was probably the fastest pedicure of my life. Maybe less than 10 minutes? My cuticles were not done, no foot/leg scrub, forget about a quick massage/foot rub, and a completely botched job. Half of my toe nails were missing nail polish on the sides of the nails. She literally painted only the middle section with one sweep of the brush. I later noticed this when I was about to get my mani done. I asked her to fix the toes and she looked dismayed. She took the polish and filled in the sides and it ended up looking more gunky and messed up. I would have asked to remove the entire polish and start over but I wanted to get out of there asap. My mani, completely opposite. The nail polish was spilling onto the sides of each nail onto the skin. I had to be the one to point it out and kindly ask her to clean up the sides of the nail?? Forget about hand rub/massage or a hot tower either. They tell you to get up and go wash your hands at a random sink. Lol. Then when I was leaving I asked for a plastic wrap for my toes because I was wearing sneakers. She insisted my toes were dry (how could they be if she was doing "touch ups" post pedi?), and that I don't need it (even though I tried to push and wanted it). Came home and a couple nails are now smudged and missing paint. Whoop-de-doo, what did I say. Didn't even bother to say thank you for the tip or goodbye. Will never come back here again. YAY! I finally found a good nail salon in my neighborhood! LL is right next to my laundromat, so I decided to stop in for a gel manicure this morning after dropping off my laundry. GREAT experience, all-around. The ladies are friendly, the space is clean and bright, and the chairs are super comfy. My nail technician took out a sealed, sterile package of tools just for me, and there's a nice, big, brand new autoclave machine in use on-site. Awesome. The manicure tables are marble-topped, and the UV lights are integrated into the tables. Again, very comfortable and very clean. The gel manicure ($35, less than Iris Nails) itself is flawless. My technician took her time making sure that my nails were properly prepped, and inspected each nail individually after every coat to make sure that coverage was complete and even--and that there was no gel on my skin. I can't comment on the longevity of the manicure yet, but I'll update my review once I know. For now, though, I'm really happy! I'll definitely be back. Oh, also: NO CHARGE for gel removal. Nice! Worst experience, I was shocked at how unsanitary it was. Barely scrub my feet and then got mad at me when I asked, even though I paid for add-ons. Nail polish application was terrible, it was all over my skin and when I asked her to clean it up, she copped an attitude. When she did clean it up, she removed nail polish from the nail itself. She had such a bad attitude with me. I didn't even want to ask her to fix the nail polish that was removed from the nail. Really should've left. Once I sat down and saw how dirty the seats were and where they put all of the instruments from pedicures but I already took socks off and didn't to offend them.. for the service and quality to be that terrible and they have to like bite my tongue so much is actually garbage all around which is why I'm leaving this here. I went here because my normal salon was booked, and I wasn't thrilled with my service. My manicurist never washed his hands and his nails were disgustingly dirty. After he took my polish off, he went to the sink and rinsed his hands without soap. My manicurist basically took a machete to my nails as he tried to remove my gel polish. My nails are now damaged. It doesn't even feel like I have gel polish on. He put 2 coats, and it feels like regular polish. I also have polish over my cuticles and on my skin. TLDR- don't come here read more

This review is for 3.5 stars. The place is standard as far as mani-pedis go. They advertise a $30 special for the combo but it comes out to $32 before tip. I'm pretty happy with the way my nails look but could've used a little more pampering. Pros - friendly service, lots of OPI nail polish color options, short neck massage as nails dry, massage pedicure chairs, hot wax treatment on heels Cons - no exfoliant or scrub during pedicure, minimal massage during manicure and pedicure, hot towel was almost non-existent. I've had better/more inclusive mani-pedis for this same price so I'm a bit disappointed by this place. There was another place on Atlantic called Choi's that I preferred but it looks to be closed now. Update - the service here has still been consistently good and my prior "con" of no exfoliant must have been a one-off thing bc they have used an exfoliant scrub on my feet since. The nail polish technique at this place is absolutely amazing! If you literally want your nails painted perfectly this is the only place that you need to be going to. Fair warning to those with size 14 1/2 feet - there are no slippers in our size here so either walk with a pair of big-ass flip-flops or bring a book cause you'll be air-drying your feet. 3 stars is being helllllllllla generous because my friend I went with really liked her mani/ pedi ( It really depends on the nail technician here for sure!) I, on the other hand, have already taken off my entire mani/pedi because the tips and side of my fingers hurt a bit from the zig-zag filing. I highly recommend to kindly ask them to NOT cut your cuticles here as well. However, I am personally never a fan of it. I also opted out for getting my nails cut ( both hands and feet) because I was happy with my length, but for my feet they filed my big toes a bit too short it is uncomfortable. You know that feeling you get when you know your nail is too short and feels vulnerable? THAT feeling! I also have that feeling on the sides on some of my fingernails from the side filing. The only thing I would ever get done here is a polish change and that's IF I ever return! I'm a huge fan of having a fresh, good coat of polish on and I was highly disappointed at my manicure and polish application. Some sides of my fingernails didn't even get a swipe and had polish was harboring and flooding my cuticles. About 6 hours later, the tip of my thumb on my left hand (not even my dominant hand) was chipped! I went to bed annoyed and when I woke up in the morning took off everything to not be reminded of this experience. Had a great experience here today--actually walked out feeling grateful for the salon's existence! I've only gotten like 5 pedicures or manicures in my life, but now that I've been to this place and live nearby, I might make it a more regular habit. The staff is professional, efficient, and made me feel more comfortable than I ever have at any other nail place. I walked in on a whim because of the sidewalk sign advertising the $30 manicure&pedicure deal. The place was busy but--and after watching the staff work, I saw how they seamlessly moved customers from chair to chair so that no one waits too long but no one feels rushed either--I was taken care of right away. For a "basic" mani and pedi, there were a lot of luxurious extra touches that I really appreciated, like hot towels, thick lotion, and massage. Great Nail Salon! My husband and I came in here on a weekday to pamper ourselves, and boy, we did. We got one of their specials, the mani/pedi and 10min massage for $40. They also have mani/pedi for $30 if you don't want a massage, but for $10, why not! I got a 10min foot massage and my husband got a back massage. The girls were kind, and quite strong actually, lol. But they pay attention and ask questions if you like a softer massage like myself. The color selection is pretty great too. Lots of OPI and Esse to choose from. I think next time I may do the gel, they have a special for $52 gel mani /pedi. I had a french pedicure, which was a couple of extra dollars, but most nail salons charge an extra couple bucks to do a french. Clean foot spas and friendly nail techs, overall this is a great spot!!
