The first couple in front of me knew what they wanted and placed their order and was in and out, no problem. The next couple had to have been high af... I say this not just because of the mj pajama pants, sweatshirts, hats, earrings, etc. adorning every body part that could be adorned, but because they proceeded to ask for samples of what seemed like every.single.flavor this cold rock had to offer. They'd get their tiny spoons, take a nibble, oooh and aaaah to each other, then wait half a season to pick their next sample. After this went on for about five minutes, another employee shows up and proceeds to just stand there and watch the first employee pass out tiny taste tests to Nugsy McDankBrain and Mrs. PuffMuffin. Just stands there and watches the woman do all the work, while he could have started helping one of the five other parties in line behind the Reefer Twins. I just left. I wasn't gonna pay $8 and 45 minutes for a scoop. To the couple who held the rest of us hostage - hear me out - maybe, *maaaaybe* next time you wanna puff some plumes and go sample every flavor, do it at a time that's not so busy, huh? Maybe??? Think you could do that? Maybe, oh hell, I dunno, look at the menu on the phone you have surgically implanted into your forearm and make a list of everything you want to sample so the rest of us don't have to wait 29 years to pay a ridiculous amount of money for some ice cream that's been sneezed on by the guy who didn't wash his hands after using the bathroom? You don't get to fry your brain and then make the rest of us pay the price. Hope you didn't drive home high after that stunt... heaven knows looking out for other folks isn't on the top of your priority list. I'm scared for when I'm old and this generation is running the nursing home I'm in. I'll be lying in my own excrement while they ooooh and ahhhh over the elevator because they smoked their brains away on their break and can't figure out how to get back to the nurse's station to clock in from the hotbox they just did in the employee parking lot. But I digress... This low review is more about the fact that instead of corralling the stoned ones to the side and helping me out, the other young man just sat there and watched the young woman work, while the line just kept getting longer... and longer... I watched the Capital Tacos on 34 go out of business because it employed mostly Gen Zer's who did everything *except* work while on the clock. I hope this place won't succumb to the same fate, but I won't know because I won't go back there. I spent 15 minutes I'll never get back, watching the dumbest and most dazed thing I've seen all year play out in front of me, and I even watched 47's State of the Union...

Shopping was very fun! We bought T-shirts for the family, hats, magnets and a variety of other things. Best of all was the food. We tried the brisket sandwich and Carolina pulled pork sandwich, along with some Beaver chips (homemade potato chips). We bought fudge to go and it was the best fudge I've ever eaten. The jerky selection was next-level and the jerky we tried was amazing. I really wish we had one closer to home but at least we have one in our home state of Arizona now.

It's a touristy gift shop, with some specialty items, lots of buc-ees branded merch, convenience store style hot food items, coffee, stuff for your car, your pets and you, your kids, your sweetie. I'm not sure if it's a mini mall, an expanded truck stop convenience store, or a glaring testament to consumerism. What makes it different from the usual convenience store might be the bbq cutting station with periodic group shouts from the guys working that area. I have no idea what they were saying, but it happened pretty regularly and you could hear it all over the store. And let's talk about the fudge station. Oh yes .... Winner on that. Still, it's a convenience store, a couple of steps above the norm, but once you get beyond the circus-y vibe, it's an experience that leaves me with the meh mindset for a repeat. Except maybe for that fudge and the people working the checkout counters ...

When I came I saw that this place is basically a smaller mom-and-pops winery, which offered 4 of their own wines, including other wines that they imported and fermented themselves. So, I just ordered their own wines. You can taste 4 wines from a list. Luckily, all 4 were from their own Colorado home vines. I sat outside at a table looking over their vineyards. I ended up buying a single glass of their white wine. I had a good time and the prices weren't bad. Plus, they had a few cute pups (Tucker the Golden Retriever!) come up to me to keep me company. This is something I would definitely do again. So I hope they do it again because I believe this was a special event.
