Enjoyed asada tacos, bacon cheeseburgers, and blue cheese burger. Service was great with a cozy and casual environment. Will be returning and absolutely recommend

Ambiance - Midwest nice meets South of the Border. You will understand when you come. Unique setting and very welcoming. Service - With a smile! Everyone from the hostess, waitress, and cook were congenial and attentive. Food - Both breakfast entrees we ordered were above par (which is average if you are a golfer so skip the metaphor). Very good! I am anxious to return for a lunch, and then again to try their dinner entrees.

Devil huevos rancheros. They pack a spicy punch. Yum!

This place is small, noisy and packed with people...that's a good thing! It's a cozy diner with a small town feel and very friendly servers. My mom had a roast beef sandwich and I had the devil huevos rancheros. The jalepenos, chorizo and chile pack a fantastic spicy punch. Overall a fun place and we'll go back. One word of advice: don't go close to closing. They start cleaning and the smell of disinfectant is very strong.

Hue bod with jalapeños and chorizo wow it's great

Only came here because there was a wait at Georgia Boy's. Definitely won't be back. I got fish and chips. The oil needs to be changed. Tasted like old funky oil. The fish wasn't any better than frozen fish. Coleslaw was bland. Took forever and everything we ordered was fried or a sandwich. The server was nice so that's why I gave 2 stars. I don't know how they stay open.

Frederick has some quaint little spots to take in the small town vibe, and Gabe's is one of them. Walking up to and into the establishment it screams local. We were greeted and seated w/n a minute. Our waitress had a smile on her face every time she interacted with us and others. The interior has an open industrial vibe. The acoustics are good enough to enjoy a conversation at your own table w/o being too distracted. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros. The food was made to order, but we had it w/n about 10-15 mins. The green chili, beans, eggs, tortillas, and hash browns were a solid team that formed a solid Huevos Rancheros. The star was definitely the green chili which was loaded with flavor. If you're up in the Frederick area, want a solid breakfast and be amongst the locals stop in and grab a bite!

This place is outstanding! Food is good. Service is good, what a great little diner. I will be back and highly recommend it.

The take-out breakfast burrito purchased on 12/22/2024, and verified by the staff to be "how they're made."

Though I've been a fan of Gabe's since moving to Frederick almost three years ago, their take-out breakfast burritos that they so proudly advertise on the front window are now laughable. I've gotten them before and they've been decent. But, not joking - see what you get, below, for $5. I even went back to verify - the very polite hostess advised that's the take-out burrito size (I didn't want a refund or anything; I just wanted to know if there'd been a mistake). If this is a cost saving measure for better margins on take-out burritos, Gabe's may be best to get out of the takeout game since this just pisses off loyal, usually sit-down customers. For a take-out breakfast burrito, you're better off going to Santiago's for $3.60 or a food truck for $6 (both not far off from Tipple and Colorado). For full clarity, the staff is always very friendly, welcoming, and professional. The food options on the rest of the menu are still great.

Seated in a booth. Promptly approached by server Harumy, quickly provided with a hot carafe of coffee and condiments. The ambiance is clean, cheerful, and inviting. There is music but it isn't too loud. I ordered the mini-monkey bread (pictured), essentially a biscuit dappled with cinnamon sugar streusel. I didn't love it; I thought it tasted too salty. Still, I finished it so it couldn't have been that bad! I ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla (eggs, chiles, cheese, onions, drizzled with avocado cream and served with red salsa), which was very good. Harumy checked on me, and brought the check promptly. You pay at the counter, not directly to the server. I would have given 4.5 stars but Yelp doesn't enable this, so I rounded up to 5 stars. Definitely give Bluebird Cafe a try!

I had to ask the hostess to ask our waitress to bring our drinks because we never saw our waitress again after placing our order. She brought the waters and 1 minute later our food arrived lukewarm. The potatoes were not cooked. We were never checked on again. Then the check came, but the extra bacon I ordered "to go" had not arrived. So she went to get that. We paid at the front with the hostess. It was an extra $5 for 2 pieces of bacon. $2.50 per slice. Is that inflation or price gouging? This is the first time in my life I have never left a tip. I'm usually a really good tipper. And I feel bad about it, but I also want to be taken care of in order to give a tip for good service. This was not good service and the food was mediocre. Would not return.

The food came fairly quickly considering they were nearly full. I chose the cinnamon roll French toast (chef's kiss!!) and hubby had the basic breakfast. We shared our meals so we could each have something sweet and savory. My niece had the Heartland Skillet and said it was to die for! I don't think there was much on the menu where you could go wrong. The food is very fresh and the choices are vast. Something for everyone here so young and old will enjoy their meals here. Good to consider is the 3 Egg breakfast with the bacon and fruit, the pancake flight with the Cinnamon Roll pancake as well as the regular pancake flight, The Cure drink, The ABCLT with salad. Plus the omelets are good as well. The only thing we found that wasn't great on the menu were the hash browns on multiple visits so sub them out if you can. They also don't seat parties together always even when tables open up near the first party so be aware of that. Other than that a great place! You can be seated inside or out. We immediately had drink orders taken and recommendations offered. The menu has something for everyone- pancakes, French toast, chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, bennys, omelets, and the there is a healthy choice menu as well as gf items; Non alcoholic as well as alcoholic cocktails, juices, and coffees available. I ordered a cappuccino to start with and it had a TON of froth on top- perfection! My daughter had a juice drink called the Cure- it was a bit heavy in the coconut water for her taste but it was delicious and came with a fresh slice of pineapple. We selected The breakfast sandwich and the blue corn huevos rancheros and we split a side cinnamon roll pancake. Let's talk perfection in a pancake-- this topped anything I've ever tasted- the fluffiest, softest, flavorful pancake. Perfect drizzles of cinnamon sugar covered with frosting. So so good. Lemon ricotta pancakes will be the choice next time. Didn't need syrup but it came warm and, heck yeah! Both our dishes came with hash browns which for our preference could have used a bit more crisp and salt( salt easily remedied). The breakfast sandwich had scrumptious, thick sourdough and generous portions of bacon, with pesto aioli and eggs of choice. Every bite was eaten, even the crusts -(adulting)! The huevos rancheros were tasty- perfect base of crunch but the main attraction was the soft and flavorful scrambled eggs and chorizo topped with Avacado crema. Taste buds satisfied as well as our hunger. Although we came in starving we had food to spare. Sam was attentive and friendly and we lingered in a comfortable setting. Ladies- check out the wishing wall in the restrooms- cute customer forward touch! Prices reasonable for all the food- you won't be sorry checking this place out.

I've been wanting to check this spot out after visiting the equally fantastic Birdhouse close by. We came for brunch on a Sunday, and while they are busy, seating is readily available. First, I have to say that the drinks are fantastic. I got the 24 Carrot Magic, a tequila based drink made with carrot juice. It is perfectly balance and dang smooth. A really perfect drink for brunch. I ordered the Grilled Shrimp and Grits and my wife got the special of the day, chicken and biscuit. The portion size is perfect for both dishes. For the Grilled Shrimp and Grits, the shrimp were perfectly cooked, plump, and juicy and the grits were buttery without being too rich and oily, which perfectly complimented the shrimp. The andouille sausage adds a perfect salty bite to the dish, and the fresh greens and crispy noodle rounds out the dish. As for the chicken and biscuit, the dish came out hot and juice. The biscuit is glazed with a jalapeño honey which compliments the dish perfectly. The biscuit has a nice crisp to it but still fluffy and buttery inside, and I think it's one of the better biscuit in the Denver metro area. The chicken is juicy and perfectly seasoned. Overall, 24 Carrot Bistro is a fantastic restaurant. The brunch menu has many attractive options, and I definitely will be back to try dinner. Additionally, as a farm to table restaurant, their menu changes seasonally and by their dishes on Instagram, this is definitely a restaurant I could see myself returning to check out new seasonal menu items.
