I've never liked going to the dentist. I have some sensory issues and a lot of anxiety. When I was on the hunt for a new dentist, I wanted to find an office I felt excited about (lessens my anxieties when I feel excitement instead of dread) and Austin Artistic Dental checked all my boxes. The office itself is welcoming and the folks at the front desk are so kind, patient, and understanding. A small detail that really makes my day is seeing my name written on the chalkboard when I arrived--it made me feel special and cared for. I had some difficulty keeping up with my treatment plan, and instead of making me feel ashamed or rushed, the staff worked with me to break it into affordable steps. The flexibility and compassion really took a weight off my shoulders (life is hard)! Even when I rescheduled my appointment (more than once.. sorry). Because of their approach, my usual dental anxiety is much lower and I kind of look forward to my appointments (crazy, right?). They also have several other services that I'm not taking advantage of that show their passion for their work. Dr Hulse also tipped me off to a potential health issue that was reflected on my back molars. I took a bad tumble which resulted in my front tooth cracking in half which was very traumatic for me. My husband did a great job trying to find the right place for us to go in order to get some guidance. The office itself is very bright and beautiful. The playlist was VERY vibey, so kudos there, it was a nice distraction from my reality. No matter what role they played, the entire team was outstanding. The doctor was very informative on every single option there was and recommended what would be best for me. I appreciated his transparency on my situation which made me feel comfortable, like I was in the best hands possible. I was informed every step of the way in regards to treatment options as well as pricing. The office was very clean and the staff very friendly. Music was popping! Doc was very nice and knowledgeable, he could be the son of my former dentist that retired . He spoke honestly, but not cruelly about the condition of my teeth. He offered a few options to correct them, and covered the pros and cons of them all. I immediately booked an in-person consult ($99 deposit), where he created a "smile test drive" using composite bonding so I could actually see and feel what veneers would look like. The staff were very nice, but the Dentist seemed rushed and uninterested in getting to know my needs. Was very disappointed at the end of the appointment, to discover that they are out of network with my insurance. I would have to pay full price for my dental work I need. My Insurance was all provided weeks before the appointment, so I would have hoped for a call before hand explaining that they were out of network. Now I have to wait 12 months to establish with an "in-network" dentist and get more X-rays. The cleaning was great, but pointless since I cannot establish them as my Primary Dentist. I just hope I do not have any major issues in 12 months, since I cannot see another dentist till then. read more

100% Recommend I couldn't even begin to tell you everything I loved about this place. We had a minor emergency and we called and got an appointment for the next day and a appointment for a tooth to be pulled the following day after that. I took somebody else in there and she immediately felt comfortable and at ease. The staff was extremely friendly and always smiling and helpful. They gave us options for a payment and an opportunity for additional dental work at a discount, which we jumped on. There equipment is definitely advanced and as far as options available to their patients and guest, the thought of everything there too. From multiple phone chargers and drinks in a refrigerator in the waiting room. Bathroom had toothbrushes and turn off lights on a shelf in case the patients need it and in the procedure rooms they had a television on the ceiling to give the patients something to watch while they're having their work to distract them. During the x-ray she was given headphones played classical music and told her to relax. She said it completely took her mind off of it and it was over before she knew it. She had one tooth pulled. We were in the door, she was taken back, met with the dentist that was going to pull her tooth, used nitrous for the procedure and was walking out the door in 45 minutes. They left nothing to chance, She was given five prescriptions. Pain meds, antibiotic, nausea, and another one I can't remember right off hand. Her favorite part was the instructions afterwards that told her that she should go and eat a Wendy's Frosty lol Will definitely be giving this place a car should we ever need dental services again for any of our family. It does really help they take my insurance, but in addition they also have some really great payment plans available too.
