I even planted the seed with the front desk, verifying I was in-network. They confirmed I was. But once I was called back--SURPRISE!--I was suddenly told I'm NOT in-network. This, after they had days to verify my insurance and contact me. Oh, and they casually mentioned they "don't verify insurance in-house." Based on Yelp reviews, this is a pattern with this office. Their billing practices are shady, misleading, and, in my experience, downright fraudulent. Now, I'm in intense pain, scrambling to find an actual in-network oral surgeon--meanwhile, UnitedHealthcare's provider directory is about 10% accurate (being generous). HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Every time I go, his hygienist is rough and harsh with the cleaning. Dr. Otto rushes his checks, barely takes any time to explain the findings, and in general, is not someone that inspires a lot of confidence. The final straw for me was how their office didn't properly disinfect the seats between patients during Covid-19. My orthodontics office was more mindful of hygiene. I'm disappointed but not surprised since I don't have high expectations for this place.

It's been 5 weeks, I've called 3 times, each time they say someone will call me back with info, no info or return call ever comes. When I call, a machine picks up. Today I drove to their office to speak with them in person, the office was closed. This operation appears to be a scam, a front for something of questionable legality. So after a recommendation, I decided to reach out to Dr. Largent's office and see if I could get my wisdom teeth out pretty soon from the time of the call. They not only got me seen right away for a consultation, but then I was able to be seen for the extractions right away (which I needed with my busy schedule and the amount of pain I had been experiencing). Not only was I treated incredibly well, but also after talking to Dr. Largent and his staff, all my anxieties about getting the teeth removed were also removed :) The following week, I had the extraction, and it was incredible. I mean extractions are not fun experiences, and I had a minor anxiety attack, and Dr. Largent and his team immediately helped me breathe and feel relaxed. I was definitely freaking out and they made me feel better and not embarrassed. The extraction was easy and the recovery process was even easier. They not only made the experience wonderful, professional, and memorable, but also we got to talk about music (he's a musician!) and they made the whole surgery super affordable for me (they truly took care of everything!) I can't recommend them enough. Grateful for them, wish I went to them when I had my lower widsom teeth extracted! Love y'all forever!

They are quick, to the point, and have helped me through a series of situations I had nowhere else to turn. When I first came here, I wanted to get my wisdom teeth removed and then re-aligned after having braces for years as a child and was interested in starting Invisalign. My wisdom teeth had shifted my teeth around, I lost confidence in my smile, and knew I needed to take further action. I found RiverRock via a Google Search, saw the good reviews, and it was 3 minutes from my house. But due to my previous experience with orthodontists, I was a bit skeptical of the kind of help I would receive. At first, I had a rough start with one of the orthodontist; Dr. Fortanely. The end-result that was described to me for my Invisalign during my consultation appointment wasn't exactly how I imagined, and it felt that not a lot of time or care went into seeing other ways I could get my teeth straightened the way I wanted it. Additionally, every appointment felt very rushed - while I appreciate a quick turn-a-round, I am still a patient with concerns and want to feel my doctor cares about that. However, now after over a year in of Invisalign and working with the orthos, my teeth have brought me more confidence than ever before. They have continually checked in on me to make sure that everything is looking how I would like, and have ordered me new retainers to make small adjustments to ensure I am getting the results closer to what I desire - but it is about net-zero from my first experiences. Additionally, in the midst of my retainer journey, I had a food trap (a gap between teeth) in my back molars caused by extra space from removing my wisdom teeth that was causing me migraine / crying level pain anytime I ate, flossed, etc. and would have to just sleep anytime I triggered it in order to handle the pain. They brought me in for a quick emergency appointment and after telling them that flossing was also causing so much pain, the first thing the orthos did was shove a piece of floss into the gap - I was crying in the office chair and felt like no one had listened to me. THANKFULLY, they transferred me over to the dentistry side, where Dr. Zachary Carlson got me the help I needed with a numbing shot and extra cleaning, which did the job perfectly. He showed so much compassion to the pain that I was in and gave me multiple options of how to go forward with management. While this place is amazing for dentistry; cleaning, etc. it is a bit pricey (even with insurance), and I would suggest getting other opinions for your orthos.

I was never told clearly that my treatment would involve widening my mouth or smile in this way, and I did not want that. As time went on, I started noticing big changes that worried me, including how my teeth fit together and how my smile and face looked. It got serious enough that I stopped treatment there and switched to a different orthodontist. My new orthodontist is now reviewing everything, including X-rays and records, to figure out what happened and what needs to be fixed... But I've been told the damage they did is irreversible... No way to fix what they did to me. During a crown replacement at River Rock, some of my natural teeth were shaved down. After that, I noticed that teeth that used to touch when I bit down no longer make proper contact. This changed my bite in a way that didn't exist before the procedure. Because natural tooth structure was removed, I'm very concerned about it. The new orthodontist has reviewed my daughter's and condition and also has concerns about how her previous treatment was handled. She now needs corrective and continued treatment.Instead of just finishing the treatment I already paid for, we now have to start over elsewhere to fix and complete her care properly. This means I have to start paying for corrective treatment that's another $6k out of my pocket since RRD used all of daughter's insurance coverage.

They told me w/out the gum surgery 5k (most Americans don't have 1k extra just laying around in this economy let alone 5k!) then I would need to do a deep clean and since it was not enough time since my last one it would be only another almost 1k out of pocket! Ended up going from oh you need a crown! To oh you need a root canal...instead of waiting to see if I would continue to get the crown they sent it out w/out my consent so they could sneakily charge me and justify there actions I decided against the root canal due to the extremely expensive price...they ended up saying "well well you kinda got a service and then found out the greedy money hungry owner ended up deciding to not refund me anything saying "well you had a service you can come in and I will be gracious enough to see you" when I had already said I had decided to go to Mexico where it's safe and way less than what they are charging here.
