    Ahi Tuna Sandwich
    Vincent P.

I came here for lunch with a big group and they were very accommodating and helped set up two tables for us. We were seated on the outside patio and the staff were all friendly. I decided to order the Ahi Tuna Sandwich, which was a tasty sandwich with seared ahi tuna. The order comes with fries and the portions were great! The food also came out in a timely manner, some dishes took longer than others, but that is to be expected. Overall, Austin's is a great casual dining option for lunch in Incline Village and we enjoyed our meal!

California burger - I subbed the bun for the lettuce. HUGE portion!

This was one of the restaurants our airbnb hosts recommended to check out during our stay in Tahoe and it did not disappoint! There's plenty of parking around and it's a quaint little restaurant right off the Main Street. We wanted something that was family friendly and this fit the bill! They have high chairs and a kids menu with crayons to draw for the kiddos. We ordered them the grilled cheese and the Mac and cheese as there weren't too many options. There isn't much of a variety for the kids. I took out 1 star because I asked for veggies on the side instead of French fries or mashed potatoes and they didn't have any. So the only sides they have are French fries or mashed potatoes... which the kids love because it's CARBS (who wouldn't?!) but man it would be great to include some veggies like steamed broccoli for the kids!! We ordered the artichoke appetizer and burgers for us and gave them some veggies from our plates. The burgers were decent, nothing out of the ordinary. They are VERY generous with their fries!! Service was a bit slow but very understandable as they seemed to be understaffed. I did appreciate our server coming to check in on us if we needed anything! The poor guy felt bad about our food taking longer and he was sweet and even gave our kids an extra juice. Really nice service!!! One thing to note is that this place is on the small side, especially if you're a group of 5 like us. I actually called in advance to reserve and we got lucky with one table perfect for our family. So I'd recommend calling in advance! All in all, this is a nice place to stop for lunch if you're in the area and it is a good kid friendly place! The portions are big but they don't have as much "healthier" options if you know what I mean.

Had the artichoke with a side of fries. The artichoke was cooked perfectly, though I could have done without the parmesan cheese since it was mainly on the inedible parts. The side of fries was enormous and absolutely delicious--even tasted great as cold leftovers the next day! The patio is dog-friendly, and the service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a nice spot for a meal.

Mac and cheese are clearly from the box.

Everything burnt and dry and from a box (see pictures we took home). Wouldn't even try this place again. Servers were friendly though!

TLDR: Cute cafe in Incline Village with large portions, really tasty food, and INCREDIBLE fries. If you're a fry snob, TRY THESE. FOOD: I had the chicken fried chicken sandwich (4/5). Huge fried chicken sandwich on Dutch crunch bread. I had a big appetite but still could only eat half the sandwich in one sitting. I usually love dutch crunch but I thought the crunch part of the bread was a little soggy / wasn't great. The sandwich itself was nice but nothing special. The sandwich came with a massive serving of fries (5/5) that were so crispy and packed with flavor. If you order the fries on their own, they come out in a huge bucket. I can't stop thinking about these fries.... We also ordered the meatloaf (4.5/5), which was tasty and well-seasoned. I only tried a bite of this but thought it was great. SERVICE: We had a really nice waitress and she attentively came to refill water and make sure we were doing well. She did forget one of our items but it wasn't a big deal and she quickly brought it out when we brought it up. ENVIRONMENT / AMBIANCE: We had a large group of ~10 people and while they couldn't accommodate us all at one outdoor table, they let us take over two tables next to each other on the outdoor patio. They did have a big enough table indoors, but because the weather was so nice, we wanted to sit outside. They have a wonderful outdoor space with plenty of tables that can fit 4-6 people each, and the environment feels calm and outdoorsy due to all the plants and trees and forest animals (mostly these beautiful birds that would flit around).

My family and I had the pleasure of visiting from the Bay Area. We stumbled upon Austin close to our hotel. The food impressed us with its freshness and lovely presentation. Every dish we tried was absolutely delightful. If only this place were in my hometown, I would be a regular visitor.

Checking on outside lunch service this Thursday? We will be there at noon.

    Yes we have outside seating

Do they have heaters outside in the winter?

We do not. Nice and cozy inside. We do proved a fire pit but never have enough people to keep it lit regularly. If you let me know when you are here we could light it. You can always message me at nelliesaia@gmail.com

I ordered the night for one special or something similar. Came with crab cake appetizer (1 crab cake) Chilean sea bass ( with quinoa and broccolini) and crème brûlée. The quinoa had no seasoning and was very dry. Had to douse with lemon to make edible. The broccolini was decent again with lemon and the bass was fine.. nothing special. For 60$ I was hoping for more flavor overall. Daughter got the clam chowder. Which was really good. Wife and son got pasta. Wife got the shrimp pasta son got the butter and noodles. We ended up mixing the 2 together and was decent. Dessert we got the strawberry butter cake, crème brûlée (came with my meal), and lava cake. Dessert was definitely the highlight of the meal. Definitely recommend the butter cake! For a 200$ dinner overall was disappointed. Service was fine. Ambiance was nice- decor was nicely done. Just don't think the food was worth the price personally.

Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, and she did a great job walking us through the day's specials as well as some of her favorite picks. I started with the In Crowd cocktail and really enjoyed it. The coconut, basil, and bitters balanced beautifully with the gin, making for a super refreshing drink that felt especially perfect for spring or summer weather. We followed our server's advice and ordered four items, two larger plates and two starters, and everything was delicious. Here's the breakdown: Trout Dip: Fantastic smoky, fishy flavor in all the right ways, served with crostinis. The only small nitpick was that the crostinis were overdone for my taste and shattered loudly when bitten into. Grilled Prawns: Super meaty and seasoned and sauced perfectly, with a bed of slaw that balanced the dish nicely. Scallops: Seared to perfection and in an addicting red Thai curry sauce. I was intrigued by the combo of kimchi, grits, and curry and have to say that it somehow blends amazingly well. Lamb Chops: Cooked to a perfect medium rare, expertly seasoned, with little gaminess and a cooling yogurt sauce that really brought the dish together. All in all, it was a fantastic meal and easy to see why this place is such a favorite among both locals and tourists. The food, the drinks, and the service all come together to make this a great option for any occasion from a casual night out (us) to celebrating something memorable like a graduation (several were happening while we were there).

We were going to make a reservation but a credit card was required - that felt excessive for a reservation on a Wednesday night so we risked it and just showed up. The burrata was nice but crostini was so hard I thought it might tear up my mouth. Gnuddi was tasty but very oily. Great ambience and perfect for a wine drinker - extensive list. We would bring family or friends there for a night classy night out, but it wasn't overwhelmingly amazing to us.

We started with the sage and cheddar biscuits, which were wonderful, and the glazed pork belly with chili crunch with toasted cashews - the combo of the nuts and pork was really delicious. We then had the Niman Ranch pork chop and grilled steak frites. Pork chop came with creamy polenta, mushrooms, and a blueberry glaze - I'm hungry just writing about all this. The chop was grilled to perfection - moist (no pink meat) and nicely charred for the flavor. The glaze is a hint of sweetness and the creamy polenta is a winner. The mushrooms are an excellent compliment. The grilled steak was also cooked to perfection - medium rare. The flat iron steak is such a great cut of meat. The fries in duck fat were very good. For dessert, we had a chocolate masterpiece. The meal was well priced considering the location and the time of year. And while the meal was special, it was the service that really made the experience special. While being utterly professional, the staff is also friendly and on top of it. I regret I didn't ask the hostess her name, but she was excellent - filled our water glasses without being asked once, and asked if we would like clean utensils after our appetizers.
