We came here for a date night. We were seated at a 4 person table as you enter the restaurant....a little awkward spot to sit. Our server was initially attentive but quickly lost interest in us as the night went on. We started with the duck fat fries and biscuits. Both very salty and fatty but so good. Delightful presentation. We then ordered "the burger" and crab cakes. Beautifully plated though the bacon was overdone as was the egg. Our server kind of forgot about us - luckily the hostess came by several times to clean up and check on us. I'd be curious to come for brunch or lunch next time. I think the evening crowd is more focused on cocktails and wine. I should have checked for mocktails on the menu.

Super cute spot I was greeted by Omar. He was so kind and sat us wherever I wanted to be seated. I don't quite remember who was who but they both were so kind and served me Peyton and crystalline. I love the fact that my server also know how to bartend. I think it was like her fifth day there and she was so attentive. This place is super cute. I have the lavender drink. I believe it was called bees something I'm not 100% sure but it was really good. I definitely would come back here again. The French toast was very yummy. Their biscuits were my favorite maple honey Sage biscuits are made in house also had the soy chicken sandwich. my daughter said even the cheese quesadilla was delightful and there's not much to that but cheese in a tortilla however she was raving about it! I definitely will come back here again if you're in incline definitely stop in. Tell them I sent you.

The atmosphere, cocktails and food presentation were is amazing. The burgers fell short of expectations and both were served a bit cool. We had 2 orders of the duck fat fries and while good had just too much salt to the point we had wipe down each fry. Looking back should have had them do them over. Overall, the burgers were disappointing, especially given the price, however the atmosphere and the cocktails were amazing.

My avocado toast was really good, looked great and tasted even better. My husband got the Eggs Benedict and described it as ok. The restaurant itself is very warm and welcoming, the staff... Not so much.

We loved Sage Leaf! An adorable little place to grab good food and a drink! The biscuits and gravy were oh so delicious. The shrimp with andouille sausage was also great. Service was good, no complaints and we throughly enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. We live small businesses, would recommend coming here.

We stopped here before our clear bottom kayak tour next door in early July. What a great choice! We enjoyed sitting outside in the nice weather. The service was smooth. The corned beef hash was excellent and my partner loved the French toast, especially because it wasn't too much food. We came back the next day when we got rescheduled for some biscuits that were also delicious. Try it out!

So far so good! Sitting at the bar with our drinks, waiting for dinner! The bartender was on point with our drinks!

Great local spot. Our server Justin was great, he was very personable and recommended the chicken thighs which were DELICIOUS. We also ordered the duck spaghetti and it was phenomenal! As a self proclaimed food critic I approve ! I have worked in fine dining and this restaurant was a great middle ground of casual service with quality dishes! We sat outside on a nice spring evening and thoroughly enjoyed our evening!

Sage Leaf is a decent brunch spot with all the classic options like biscuits and gravy, corned beef hash, and French toast. I liked their twist on the corned beef hash with duck fat fries, and the French toast made with sourdough was a nice touch. Service was good overall. A solid, typical brunch spot if you're looking for familiar dishes done well.

    Great food. Great vibes.

Absolutely incredible experience! The salads were fresh and flavorful, and both the chicken and salmon were outstanding--perfectly cooked and packed with taste. You really can't go wrong with any of these choices. Easily a 5-star meal, and I'll definitely be coming back!

My sister is visiting and wanted to go up to Tahoe so we thought we'd grab some girlfriends and do brunch. We had eaten at this restaurant several years prior a couple times but hadn't been back since. Good experiences in the past so I suggested we come here. Made reservations via the website for next day unsure if they are needed when we got there there were two other couples eating. My sis and I took the bench seating and my friends had chairs which they noted were not the most comfortable. Javier was a good server greeted us bringing us drinks I had a hot chocolate which was great, of note they don't have oat milk. They also serve only basic drip coffee no lattes. There's a wide range of flavors for mimosas but we chose mango and we all liked them. Their menu looks delicious. Three of us however chose avocado toast, which itself is fairly affordable. It comes with radishes and balsamic and a couple other toppings that I pass on, adding an egg was 3.50 ouch and adding "candied bacon" was 4.50$ eeek, our fourth lady got the French toast. Javier asked me if Olive oil was okay which I appreciated and agreed it was; however upon eating my eggs and toast it was doused in olive oil like way too much and threw the taste off. I still liked my toast and eggs but the eggs and bacon came on the side not on top of toast which I guess I sort of expected and you can always make it that way yourself. I have to say, this was not bacon. This was just porky belly which is not in the least bit appealing to any of us. So that was definitely misleading on the menu and I think it needs to be changed especially for that price. Overall a decent experience and would consider returning when in the area. Of note, This review was in my drafts and is a late post from January 2025.

Small but very cute place. Came here after reading so many 5 star reviews. Unique lunch option, which is nice to see. Ordered a Bloody Mary, I didn't love the Smokey flavor, and I would guess maybe one shot . Also ordered soy chicken sandwich with fries (fries get a 5 star) and shrimp kabobs with sausage. First, it comes with 6, but they are very small shrimp. That was disappointing. The flavors were fine but certainly not a wow factor.

I'll say right off, I'm giving them 4-stars since I had time to just grab one drink and a snack. I'm sure when I come back and can hang out for longer, the next review will easily bump up to the 5-star level. Firstly, this is a cool hole in the wall, very nice ambiance, and set back in a way that makes it feel a bit like a speakeasy. The decor is very stylish and atmospheric, with plenty of comfy chairs and spaces at the bar, and the staff were quite friendly. And while I'm not the biggest fan of these in here, the bar has many countertop video poker machines, should you be inclined to play. This is a full bar, so they have plenty of selections for wine, beer, and spirits. But the main attraction are their house cocktails. Only had time to try one on this visit, but that Saffron Sazerac was very interesting indeed, and definitely makes me want to swing by and try more of their menu. And should you need something to snack on, they also have a small menu of bar bites, which is just enough to hit the spot. And as for prices, I found them pretty darn reasonable, especially given this is Tahoe, we're talking about. So yeah, all said, I have been fairly impressed with Gaviota. Definitely going to keep them on my short list of drinking spots on North Shore, and I think anyone looking for a classy beverage will love it here too. Hope to swing by again soon.

It's located in a little shopping center with not much parking but we were able to get a spot pretty quickly. The outside had a cute little sitting area with a few tables but it was too cold for that haha. Inside is small-ish with about 4 tables plus a high seating area but we were able to sit our party of 8 comfortably by pushing 2 tables together. And the lady at the register was very nice and helpful with suggestions. On to the good stuff...THE FOOD. Five of us got burgers, each one a different way on the menu and each of us gives them a 5/5! They were cooked perfectly, super flavorful, and all around an excellent burger. My 13 year old got the chicken sandwich and said the pickles were delicious and the amount was perfect, so she gives them a 5/5. Fries were thin cut & crispy. Inclines fries were better BOMB 5/5 for us & same with the garlic fries. And my kids said the chicken nuggets were crispy and fresh. We will definitely stop back to refuel again after another snow day!

The spicy chicken nuggets were okay tasting, but they were on the small side, plus you're charging for the sauces for the chicken nuggets? Kind of a joke there. The inclined burger was dry and not well-seasoned (I had to use the bbq sauce we got with the nuggets) to help choke it down. The garlic fries were decent enough, but they were not crisp like fries should be. Go to the thai or burrito place next door, you'll get better food.
