Tomato soup of the day

Came here with a group of friends after a day on the slopes. They have a decent selection of items. Nothing here is worth raving about, neither the food nor the service. I was very upset about the beet salad we ordered (pictured) as the portions were an absolute joke for the price. It wouldn't hurt to add just a little bit more arugula or something....after letting my waitress know they removed it from my bill which gained them the extra star.

Breakfast sandwich on sourdough instead of bagel. It was an average breakfast sandwich and potato's were a bit over seasoned for my liking.

Bunch spot in Olympic village. My wife really enjoyed the avocado toast that came with a light salad. It seemed like one of their top brunch items and it was served on a board which was fun. The breakfast sandwich was average and the potatoes were heavily seasoned. I would not order it again. They have a good kids menu with chocolate chip pancakes at reasonable prices.

Came here for brunch during Tahoe Live and it was a pretty decent experience. The service seems a bit off cause the two tables next to us sat down after us but still somehow got their food way before us. I was about to track down our waitress to confirm that we do in fact have food coming when it finally showed up. Maybe it's just our table that's slow even when we only have 4 people. The food however once we got it was very good. I got the biscuits and gravy and it was a good portion size with perfect blend of sweetness and salt. Aside from the service, I'd say this place is a pretty solid brunch place at Palisades Tahoe.

Insane how something can look so tasty but taste so bland

4 stars for the service. Came here pretty early and before the lunch rush so we had loads of seating options at our disposal. I really liked the drink i had. Forgot the name but it was one of the spirit free ones that i added vodka to. Pretty sure it had pineapple in it. To eat i had the Rocker burger with brioche bun and a side of garlic fries. It is quite incredible how something can look so good but taste so undeniably bland and tasteless. It's almost as if you had to do it on purpose. Even the fries had zero flavor to them. I still ate it because i was so hungry. Me and my partner hung out for a bug just chillin'. Overall chill experience but id skip the food next time

We went in three different times while staying at the palisades village. Packed on Sunday and pretty empty on weekdays. We enjoyed their food. The nachos was crispy and warm. We would have loved more melted cheese and green aioli Quinoa salad was really good. The avocado was probably a day old when they cut it bc it was slightly brown. So we tossed that out. It's a warm salad. Fresh and great flavor. The burgers were good. Wanted mine medium rare but came back medium well. I didn't returned it bc I didn't want it to go to waste. My gf enjoyed her portobello mushroom burger. Good flavor. Accompanied with fries

Ahi Tuna tacos

We had dinner here today with my family. The wait time was extremely long -- it took about 40 minutes for our food to arrive, even though we were a party of four.(2 adults and 2 kids) I ordered the Ahi tuna tacos, and about one hour after eating, I started feeling incredibly sick. I had severe diarrhea and intense stomach cramps. It was very clear that this was food poisoning. This completely ruined the evening and was honestly a terrible experience. Based on what happened, I do not recommend this place at all.

Rode bikes to Palisades from Tahoe City on a Tuesday. This and the Mexican restaurant were the only ones open. We decided on this place based off the menu. Two of us got the Bipimbap and one got the summer harvest bowl. We were all very happy with our choices. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. When the weather cooperates you can't get much better with the view from the patio!

Nasty hash browns

Don't be fooled by the cool vibe you get when looking in from outside. This place is just below mediocre; at least for brunch. Complete lack of any kind of positive vibe from our server although she did check in with us periodically. All the checking in didn't cause her to take any wrappers or used plates off the table though. She was clearly lacking any kind of formal training in the basics. Ran out of water. Pancakes were massive, had a weird texture and soaked up the syrup like a sponge. Unfortunately they were very stingy with the syrup! Over easy eggs were served over medium and over hard! The yogurt/granola bowl with blueberries was good. Hash browns were awful in flavor, and composition. Hard to explain how bad they were.

Nachos app - more than enough as an entree.

Even on a holiday weekend, this place was on point - food and service! We were able to get seated right away on the afternoon of 4th of July. The place was busy but not overwhelmed. Our waiter was on point and kept refills coming and updates on our meals coming. When I ordered the nachos and was advised I wouldn't be able to finish them because they were so large, our waiter advised I save them and turn them into a yummy breakfast the next morning. Nice touch! The food was delivered to the table hot, delicious, and as promised, HUGE! The nacho appetizer could have fed 2 as an entree, even more as an appetizer. We sat inside, but the patio was shaded and looked nice. The doors were wide open and the breeze was perfect. I would definitely come back here, holiday or otherwise.

The place itself is quite small with limited parking, but everyone is nice and kind and they have little buzzers to notify you when your table is ready :) I got the French toast with strawberries and oh my goodness it was DELICIOUS. The French toast was a perfect blend of fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The bread itself was amazing. I opted in for some fresh strawberries, but you can get other fruit or a fruit syrup as well. The French toast also comes with warm maple syrup, and I can attest it was definitely warm. It made the whole eating experience feel luxurious, and I had a delightful time eating it all up. If I ever come back to Lake Tahoe for holiday, I will definitely need to swing by this place to experience this French toast again. So good!

Moderate portion size for price Unclear menu ------------- Worst food poisoning this decade. I told the waitress I had a dairy allergy, but she did not write it down. I asked about dairy in the dish I ordered; I'm pretty sure the kitchen switched out the chicken sausage from the menu for chicken&cheese sausage -- an avoidable error IF the kitchen is informed. Extremely disappointed.

We started with the lobster small dish as an appetizer and our 7 year old devoured most of it. It was so delicious. They were incredibly accommodating for my gluten-free and dairy-free needs. I was impressed with how they had special menus for each of my diet restrictions - the items to avoid were crossed off (see pic) which made it super easy to follow. My black cod was AMAZING, cooked perfectly, just the right amount of complimenting flavors and ingredients, in addition to great broccoli. Lastly, the fact they had even one gluten-free/dairy-free dessert option was mind blowing. I was so pumped. It was a smooth and super flavorful coconut passion fruit house made sorbet. I was in heaven. This isn't your typical dining establishment and their food definitely showcases that. And the views do too, holy smokes. Talk about a wag to enjoy the beauty of Lake Tahoe! Absolutely gorgeous. We're so thankful we got to spend an evening here, in our most favorite vacation spot. Way to go owners, staff and chefs!

The ambiance and setting are truly impressive and set the stage for what should have been an exceptional dining experience. The food itself was thoughtfully prepared and showed real potential, but every dish seemed to be missing something that kept it from being truly memorable. The oxtail ravioli was delicious and rich in flavor, yet oddly under-seasoned. Surprisingly, there was no salt or pepper available on the tables, which made it impossible to adjust to taste. The beet dish was creative and interesting, but far too small to be considered a full entrée. Overall, the menu felt like it was aiming for elevated fine dining, but many dishes lacked that final element that brings everything together. Unfortunately, the service also took away from the experience. While attentive service is appreciated at an upscale restaurant, this felt overbearing and forced. From the moment we sat down, there was constant pressure to order more -- including repeated pushes to purchase wine, even after we explained that we do not drink alcohol. Our waiter also kept insisting we order additional dishes and repeatedly told us what we "should" get, despite the fact that we had already reviewed the menu beforehand and knew exactly what we wanted. It came across less as genuine hospitality and more like upselling. There were also constant interruptions throughout the meal, with multiple servers repeatedly approaching the table and reaching across us during conversations. At one point, elbows were practically in our faces while dishes were being cleared or delivered. Instead of feeling relaxed and welcomed, it became distracting and intrusive. This restaurant absolutely has potential because the setting is stunning and the kitchen clearly has talent. But between the overly aggressive service and dishes that felt just shy of complete, the overall experience didn't quite live up to the very high price point.

All four of us loved the taste of our entrees and of the appetizers. Our server (Jigga) was excellent and attentive. The atmosphere was nice with a great view of the Truckee River, just 20 feet away from our window table. The bathrooms were clean. On the flip side, we were greeted rather rudely upon walking in. We arrived early especially to grab a drink and relax during happy hour. There were four of us and 2 bar stools, so we sat at one of the three empty high-tops next to the bar. The bartender told us we couldn't sit there and that we had to order drinks standing at the bar and then cash out before being seated for dinner. Our table in the dining room was waiting, but we still had to pay for drinks at the bar before being seated. It was very confusing the way things were handled, especially considering this restaurant is rated $$$ on Yelp. Long story short, we stood at the bar until our tab was settled. Then we noticed that we were not charged the happy hour pricing (we still had another 20 minutes). We brought it up with the bartender and she said, "you have to ask for the happy hour menu if you want happy hour prices." So immediately we felt unwelcome and as if we were being treated like "one-visit tourists". She didn't even offer to change our tab to reflect the happy-hour pricing. Unfortunately the bar confusion left a sour taste over much of the entire dinner, which otherwise would have been a fairly decent night out. Three-stars for the happy hour experience , and 4 stars for the restaurant.
