Great food for adults and kids. We love the nachos, but everything we've had has been delicious. Hard to find a better view and atmosphere anywhere. We have come here many times (including twice in the last three days). Kids got Mac and Cheese and Burger and we got burgers and the chicken sandwich. While in town for TrailCon, I joined a small group of newly made friends (Don, Ryan, Amanda, Jeremy, and Sarah) for lunch after a morning of walking, exploring, and conference activities. Needless to say, we had worked up an appetite. Rocker ended up being a great choice. The restaurant is spacious, with plenty of seating, and we were seated almost immediately. Kaden, our server, was on top of his game from the start. Drink orders were taken quickly, appetizers were out without delay, and he checked in just the right amount throughout the meal. The menu had a lot of tempting options, but I landed on the Kauai Chicken Sando. It came loaded with huli huli BBQ chicken, grilled pineapple, coleslaw, red onion, tomato, chipotle aioli, all on a Martin's potato roll, with fries on the side. I'll admit, I wasn't expecting much. Resort restaurants often come with resort prices, and sometimes the food doesn't quite justify the cost. This one did. The sandwich was much larger than I expected, the chicken was cooked well, and the combination of the sweet pineapple and huli huli sauce with the unexpected spicy kick from the chipotle aioli worked really well together. The fries were also a generous portion and seasoned perfectly. Overall, this was a really enjoyable lunch. Good food, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere made for a nice break in the middle of a busy TrailCon week. If you're staying at the resort or happen to be nearby, I'd happily order that Chicken Sando again. read more

I was very upset about the beet salad we ordered (pictured) as the portions were an absolute joke for the price. Nachos - I get it's in Palisades, but paying extra for salsa with my nachos and then it's a small condiment cup?! First and probably last time. Prices are Palisades prices. The service was so bad I almost felt like I was on one of those prank shows from the 90s. We sat and sat and watched people around us all receive incorrect orders and then when we finally were served, it happened to us too. One table near us had one person got their food 20 minutes before the rest of their party. It would've been comical had we not been so hungry. Once we got our food, it was adequate overpriced resort food. But there was no excuse for how terrible the service was. It wasn't even that busy. Came here for brunch during Tahoe Live and it was a pretty decent experience. The service seems a bit off cause the two tables next to us sat down after us but still somehow got their food way before us. I was about to track down our waitress to confirm that we do in fact have food coming when it finally showed up. Maybe it's just our table that's slow even when we only have 4 people. The food however once we got it was very good. I got the biscuits and gravy and it was a good portion size with perfect blend of sweetness and salt. Forgot the name but it was one of the spirit free ones that i added vodka to. Pretty sure it had pineapple in it. To eat i had the Rocker burger with brioche bun and a side of garlic fries. It is quite incredible how something can look so good but taste so undeniably bland and tasteless. It's almost as if you had to do it on purpose. Even the fries had zero flavor to them. We went in three different times while staying at the palisades village. Packed on Sunday and pretty empty on weekdays. We enjoyed their food. The nachos was crispy and warm. We would have loved more melted cheese and green aioli Quinoa salad was really good. The avocado was probably a day old when they cut it bc it was slightly brown. So we tossed that out.
