    Crepes with potato's
    Katie L.

Went here for brunch on a Sunday with a pretty large group. They were able to get us in pretty quick and we only waited 30 min. I ordered fresh squeezed OJ and the fire sign crepes, both were amazing! The crepes have hollandaise sauce on them with mushrooms, green onions and cheese in the eggs. The potato's were nice and crispy.

Cutest little place! Well worth the 35 min wait. Food was spectacular. Dogs allowed in patio which is nicely shaded. Portions are very generous.

This was such a cute Cafe. Very homey and warm, the menu looks delicious. I got the Chipotle chicken sandwich and it was amazing! My husband got the special, banana nut French toast. We both devoured our plates. The staff was knowledgeable and so friendly.

Pretty good, I got the eggs Benedict and some small pancakes. Pancakes were delicious!! Would recommend also getting the mixed fruit smoothie, I really liked it. The seating is cozy, and servers were nice. I definitely would come back someday.

OMG this place is so cuteeeeeee. Perfect Tahoe log cabin lunch spot, with those retro Americana vibes. They have a wide ranging menu of breakfast and lunch dishes, and daily specials -- different kinds of fresh baked coffee cake, cobbler, etc. We had a grilled cheese on marble rye with mustard, tomato and sautéed onions. It came with nacho chips, fresh salsa and pickle. So good. Strawberry chocolate chip coffee cake was served warm with butter, super fresh and yummy. Hot chocolate was soulful and rich. What a treat!!

West Shore Special (added cheese). Super tasty and lots of food!

Had a delicious breakfast at this no frills cozy mountain cafe! The menu boasted a lot of tasty sounding options and prices seemed fair, around $15-$20/person. Two of us easily shared the West Shore Special. The flavors were excellent and the portion could have been shared between three people! Staff was welcoming and friendly and the place seemed bustling on a Monday morning during Tahoe shoulder season. Would go again!

Rubicon Scramble. Delicious, hit the Spot

Out here in Tahoe and we always like trying new spots to eat. Came across this cute gem. You know when there is a lot of people waiting outside to be seated the food must be good. Our wait was about 20-25 minutes and glad we waited. The food was Absolutely Delicious. I ordered the Rubicon scramble. Sausage onions Bell peppers and cheddar cheese. I highly recommend. While waiting to be seated some guy walks out and tell us try the french toast it wont disappoint (it was a sign) and thats what we did. Is was really good nice thick slices. Ask for the cinnamon to sprinkle on top. Our server was really nice and very attentive to our needs. The restaurant looks like it was a house at one time or another. Cute ambience love the decor very chill vibe. I highly recommend this place. We will Definitely be coming back again.

I came here for Sunday brunch with a big group of friends and we were told that the wait would be pretty long. We decided to wait it out and I was really glad we did. For parties waiting, they kind of encourage checking out their coffee shop next to the restaurant and many of my friends and I did order a drink during our wait. I got a peppermint mocha and it was definitely one of the best mochas I've had in a while. Once our table was ready, we were greeted with kind staff. I ordered a Rubicon Scramble for myself and my table also got two cobblers to share after our meal. Whenever I go to brunch, I enjoy a savory, egg-heavy meal, so I've had my fair share of omelettes and scrambles. The Rubicon Scramble was one of my favorite eggy breakfasts to date. Potatoes on the side were okay and I got the baked item of the day, which was a raisin coffee cake. That was okay as well; the scramble got the gold star. I was extremely heartbroken when I left the restaurant and realized I had left my boxed up leftover scramble behind on accident. Both cobblers were also amazing. My friends and I gobbled them both up quickly. Overall so glad my friends and I chose to stick around and wait for a table! Definitely try to go when it's less busy, but even if you end up waiting, the coffee shop is just as good :)

It's one of those places where the wait is worth it. Everything about the name says it all, Fire Signs are creative. I knew the sandwich I was getting would be nothing like I've had before - and I wasn't disappointed. Except, I ate the whole thing there and didn't take any home. Also, the virgin Bloody Mary is thick, spicy good, and full of life. Speaking of life, our servers were on it! This place is so busy and they don't forget a thing. It also has a really cozy log cabin ambience that's fun. Can't wait to come back with my wife and kids.

We came by this café on a Sunday around 11 AM it was pretty packed, but was seated within about 8 minutes, which wasn't bad given the weekend crowd. We ordered the Baker's Benedict, which came with a flavorful sausage patty, perfectly poached eggs, and a rich, creamy hollandaise sauce that tied everything together well. Also tried the Fire Sign Crepes : almost like a burrito wrapped in crepes, filled with scrambled eggs, sautéed mushrooms, & cheese, also topped with hollandaise. The side of potatoes was crispy & well-seasoned. The service was great. our waitress was super friendly and everything came out quickly. All in all, a great spot in the Tahoe area if you're looking for a solid, satisfying breakfast.

Easily one of the best brunch spots in North Lake Tahoe! I love coming in especially in the winter time. It was a super cozy diner with incredible food. The portions are big and the food is delicious. Our waiter was super nice as well and constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything. If you are in the area this is a must try!

We agreed that the Cuban took the cake but both had lots of flavor to offer. Then for our sweet tooth, the cowboy cookie & oatmeal cranberry toffee cookie. The coffee was so hot it actually burned my poor tongue. It was also a bit bitter and not very creamy, with none of the warm honey notes I was hoping for. It was a bummer, because judging by the look and vibe of the store, I expected to love it. That said, the market itself couldn't be more rustic and beautiful. It's filled with genuinely great looking items: handmade sandwiches, cheeses, baked goods, wine, gelato, and organic produce. Everything looked stellar. I asked the guy behind the coffee bar what beans they use, but he didn't know. I'd definitely return to try the food or grab a few things for a lake picnic, but I'm skipping the coffee - 2.5 stars if I could.

She did mention she might be a bit biased since she works in the kitchen, but she was completely right: the food was outstanding. We ordered two burgers, a salad, and an appetizer to share among four people. The portions were very generous and incredibly satisfying. We usually prefer to restaurant-hop and have dessert somewhere else, but the meal was so good that we decided to stay and try dessert as well. While it wasn't quite as impressive as the rest of the food, it was still enjoyable and ended up being the perfect choice since it wasn't overly heavy after such a filling meal. A special mention goes to our waitress, Erin, who was excellent. She was attentive, efficient, and incredibly on top of everything. I always appreciate when a server checks in at the right moment to ask whether you'd like the bill or want to order anything else, and Erin handled everything seamlessly. The menu was an array of apps like Bao buns, guac and chips to birria beef rangoon, entree salads and burgers including a mushroom burger. They were a bit understaffed - one bartender and one server. Neither super friendly or forward with info - we had no clue on the flow or what and where to go. We figured it out, but clearly a bit of an issue. We ordered at the bar, but from a server, and then sat outside. The poke bowl, while a tad bland was hearty, filling and solid. The deep fried onions on top were a really nice touch, although I did feel like it was over the top salty - I ended up drinking like a gallon of water when I got home. The Bloody Mary was really good... so props on that drink, with a blue cheese olive and all. Overall, such a solid spot. Well designed, hip and a solid menu. I'd come again if I was in the 'hood. * bonus for some limited parking in the back lot.

I ordered an iced hazelnut latte and an iced toffee nut latte. When I first received the drinks, the color immediately made me question them. After mixing them, it became clear that there was very little coffee in either drink. They tasted more like flavored milk than lattes. I went back inside and asked if I could add an extra shot. I also asked how many shots were in either drink originally and was told there was only one shot in each drink. For a latte that large, that seemed incredibly sparse. What made the experience even more disappointing was that I was charged an additional dollar for the extra shot. The drinks were already $12, bringing the total to $13 (I only got an extra shot in my drink). If a customer comes back because their latte barely tastes like coffee, charging extra to make it drinkable feels unreasonable. And even after the added espresso, they still were not worth the price. Both coffees tasted bland and poorly made. Lastly, the customer service left a lot to be desired. The overall interaction felt unfriendly and dismissive. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing coffee experiences I've had in Lake Tahoe. For $13, I expected two decent lattes and was majorly disappointed.
