We met Israel our Captain and Raul. They kept saying "for the next 3 hours, this boat is yours" and we had the best time. Our previous trip was more focused on swimming and snorkeling but this time we wanted to see the whales. We enjoyed every minute on the boat. We were pampered and cared for, they provided lots of info but were never intrusive. We had great drinks all day followed by a lunch (some reviewers called it a "snack" but I feel like it was so much food and plenty for lunch). We had a very disappointing experience on this fishing tour, especially compared to another group that went out at the same time. First, no one told us hotel pickup was available. We took an Uber to the marina, only to find out the other group was picked up directly from their hotel. We even end up walking to the dock by ourselves. Second, the boat we got looked nothing like the pictures on the website--old, worn down, and definitely not what we booked. Our captain also barely spoke any English, while the other group had a newer boat and a captain who could communicate easily. I'm not picky about the boat being old or new, but it should at least match the photos on the website. Third, we didn't even get to touch a fishing rod the entire 6 hours. The captain did everything himself and told us to just wait. Meanwhile, the other group was actively fishing the whole time. And the worst part: we didn't catch a single fish. ZERO. In a place where fish are supposed to be everywhere. We even saw a fish swim right by our boat and the captain still didn't try changing bait or techniques (He only tried trolling on the way back). The other group came back with actual fishes!!!!! The difference in treatment between our experience and theirs was so obvious: They got pickup, a better boat, an English-speaking captain, active fishing, and fish. We got none of that. Since the other two groups were white and we're Asian, it's hard not to wonder why our experience was so different. I really hope that wasn't the reason, but the contrast was too big to ignore. Overall, this was not the tour we were promised or the one we paid for. Definitely would not recommend.

Overall, a great activity for families while vacationing in Cabo…read more Unlike many other activities, Wild Canyon is only 25 mins away from Cabo. It's a one stop shop for so many fun things including zip lining, horse riding, camel riding, UTV/ATV, bungee jumping, a petting zoo, and a small water park. I highly recommend the Animal Kingdom activity for those with children. Luis was an amazing tour guide/animal expert and we had a blast meeting all the animals in the sanctuary and taking pictures with the parrots, bunnies, and love birds. We had fun on the UTV and the horse riding but both activities were a bit short only 30 mins for the UTV and 10 mins for the horse riding. Things to know before you go: - transportation from your hotel is included only if you do the activities so any children or older adults who are there to just observe, you'll need to purchase a separate transportation fee which is $30 round trip. Our driver picked us up on time and the van was very clean and nicely air conditioned. - the activity price doesn't include the admission fee of $25 so you must purchase that as well. The admission fee is mandatory to just enter the park even if you're not doing any activities. - I suggest you purchase your tickets online as they are discounted compared to paying at the site. - bring your own water bottle as they have free water stations throughout the park and snacks. The small snack stand grossly overcharges for drinks and snacks ($5 for a soda can and $5 for a snickers bar). - if you're going on the UTV/ATV, I recommend you bring a bandana or scarf to cover your lower face from all the dust. They also sell them in the gift shop for $3-7. Note this isn't a cheap activity and probably best suitable for children 6 and older and adults. When you add up all the activity costs, the admission ticket, insurance, and tips for the driver and each activity, it comes out to $150-200 per person.

I chose this company as I wanted to ensure that I had a marine biologist as the tour guide…read more Was a little disappointed with the tour guide (my husband was able to spot the whales and point them out faster then she was able to) and the promised hydrophone she only tried once which we didn't hear any whales communicating/ "singing" at all. Hence I would have given 4 stars because of this. I was expecting a much better informative tour with the marine biologist. However, in general, she didn't cut short our time and they did speed a long to various areas whenever we saw a spout of water blow up. And, in general, had a great time seeing e humpback whales- we saw one full breach too. I think we may have seen about 20 in January 2026. I heard Cabo is the best place to see the humpback whales and from December through March. I would reccomend the blow up boats as you can get much closer. We were in a small boat with about 8 people but I saw videos of people in the blow up boats that could actually touch the whales if they wanted to. Would have liked this better I think. Also, we forgot our water bottle in the boat afterwards and the company was very customer service oriented in helping us restrict the water bottle. Thank you for a great first time experience in Cabo and seeing humpback whales!

And we even got to see a baby whale breach the water, WOWZIE WOW, it was definitely a memory never to be forgotten. Our hostess with the mostess, Victoria, speaks a zillion languages. She was able to give us information on the whales in both English and Spanish (she also speaks French and Icelandic). The tour was good, we didn't even need to take photos because Victoria had a giant camera to do it for us. This way, we can really enjoy the natural settings of the Whale habitat. Towards the end of our tour, we were able to see 8 whales swimming together. Victoria said there are 7 are males chasing 1 female to see who would end up 'dating' her, aka - put a baby in her. Mating season was in the air and we got to see that. Best excursion ever! Private small tour. I'm happy to say, they followed sealife protocol and didn't get too close to harm the whales and there were only a few boats out for whale watching. It didn't feel commercial.
