We received a list of restaurants from the front desk and I checked yelp and Wilson's Market showed up- so we tried it. Well- let me just say- I'm so glad we did! My husband and I traveled the Oregon Coast for a week and who would have thought that our favorite meal would come from a deli in a one horse town like Bandon? When we walked in, an amazing guy with an epic beard clocked us for the tourists that we were and started telling us about his amazing offerings. He said he had smoked pork, smoked chucked, and carne asada. "If you are new here (duh!), you might want to get three tacos so you can try all three," he explained. Well, who were we to go against his recommendation? We noticed the other chef putting curly fries into a burrito and he said "that's for your next visit." Ok.... He said they make their own corn hard shells for the tacos. Yes. They. Do. If you ever find yourself in Bandon, get to Wilson's Market. Hurry. Go hungry.

The picnic tables were very nice, clean and sturdy, the area had the outdoor grass laid out. We had maybe a 10 -15min wait. Seems we got the last lunch of the day as Sweethearts had had such a busy lunch rush. When we tucked into our meal we found out why she had won so many awards and sold out by 2:00pm. Portions are grandma generous, chicken though boneless breast meat, is very moist and tender. Chicken crust is thin and perfectly crunchy. My poutine was nicely spicy with a sausage gravy. Which I suspect was pork gravy, did some guilt eating on this. But it was so good. The fries are phenomenal, interesting shell like shape, but perfectly crispy and golden .

Plate is a food cart, they split their time between a couple of North Bend/Coos Bay locations. I only knew they were at the Mill Casino so that is where I aimed to catch them. Located on the wooden boardwalk overlooking the bay, Plate comes with a view that cannot be beat. They offer an array of entrees that vary from a Mexican theme with tacos to a Hawaiian theme with macaroni salad that definitely is island inspired. They have good old straight barbecue as well. We tried a variety of items from tacos to chicken to pulled pork. For sides we tried the mac salad and pit beans. Everything was excellently prepared and they were generous with the serving sizes. My only critique was I thought the beans could have been flavored a little better. They were good, but some pulled pork in the beans could go a long way to upping the flavor. They weren't bad, just weren't special. Eating on the boardwalk overlooking the bay was a great experience. It really added an atmosphere you don't often associate with a barbecue joint. I make several trips to Coos Bay a year usually and this will continue to be a must visit for me and my family.

The location it was at (June 2026) was with quite a few other food trucks and a bar, with inside and outside seating and its really well done.

The woman worker said that was her water bottle she drank from and the guy said he didn't care and gave it to me still. I laughed because I thought I was going to still receive my new unopened bottle I paid for as well but that didn't happen. I don't drink after anyone. Not even family. I don't want my dog to either because I don't know if they have mouth sores or anything that may hurt my dog. Anyway I was telling my dad what had just happened and two of the workers over heard me and laughed. Please don't give people that pay, water that is used. Just give them what they pay for and let them decide what to do with it.
