Tony made me believe in my 2015 Toyota highlander again! I've been taking it to service at Toyota for years, believing they would take care of everything needed for optimal performance. AC got worse, until the fan intermittently shut down. Toyota wanted to keep it for two days to figure out what was wrong with it. Took it to another place who wanted to replace everything for a hefty price tag. It took Tony 20 min to recharge it and another 30 min to replace the blower engine. I expected to leave it overnight and to my surprise I got a call 30 minutes after dropping it off informing me that all I needed was a recharge and that it would be done in 30 minutes. While my preferred automotive shop quoted me a very reasonable price for an AC recharge, my brother in law recommended this location, which saved me almost 50%. Fifty percent is a lot of money, given our current economic status! I also appreciated the fact that they offered without me asking, to check to see if I even needed an AC recharge before proceeding with the actual service. My car did end up needing a full AC recharge, and I could wait under 30 minutes, which was awesome. I recommend calling ahead and double-checking the name for those unfamiliar with the area using Google Maps. I did not double-check, and my GPS took me to a nearby AC Express for homes. Friendly and quick service. $15 dollars for inspection fee. After I replaced the bad compressor, it only cost me $65 to have him pressure check and refill. The A/C fill service only took about 15 mins and I was on my way with a nice cool car! read more

SCAMMER - Make sure you check your hi and low side valve cores (just like a bicycle tube) before you go see them. After sitting in the lobby for 2 minutes he came in and said "I found your problem" and showed me my low side Schrader valve was slowly leaking. It was not leaking at all when my friend who is a top BMW mechanic at Penske North Scottsdale had his gauges on the day before. I was simply there for a system vacuum and proper recharge. My guess is they unscrew the valve just a bit so it will hiss and then charge you $20 to put in an unneeded replacement which is $2.99 at Autozone. He changed the valve price to $10 when I called him out on it. I should have made him re-tighten the original and punched him in the face but I'm a nice guy. read more

I called them up and made sure I would be able to get in same day since I was on my only day off. YUP... Literally showed up talked for 5 min Pulled the car in 5-10 min later found everything was fine just was low on Freon 10-20 min after that I was done My car is back to blowing cold air again! Paid $20 for an inspection to see what might be wrong with my ac since it was no longer blowing air. His conclusion was that i needed a new blower and resistors which would be $700. Using that information I called around and found someone else that could perform the repairs at a lower cost and was schedule go and have them take a look. Before my appointment with the new place my car battery was dead and I had to get it replaced and what do you know? My a/c worked perfectly fine! Now imagine if I would've paid $700 and still had issues. I would think battery level would be something you'd check since it could clearly affect the a/c performance. If you do go here make sure you get a second and third opinion. read more

Saw great reviews on here and decided to bring my wife's 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan in for service. AC was blowing but not cool air. The driver's side was cooler than the pass side. It was determined that all it needed was an evac and recharge, to my relief. Quick and very affordable. It was a little tough to find, you need to turn into the business center where the giant sign is that has a bunch of businesses listed on it. I had my ac fixed on my car about 4 months ago at a different place and it slowly got warmer until it was blowing hot air. I also heard a leaking sound. When I showed up he had remembered from the phone from the day before and looked at my car right away. He took about 15 minutes to do his inspection and took the time to show me what was the cause, and how he was going to fix it. It cost less than a hundred dollars and my ac has been blowing ice cold all weekend. The waiting area is small, but he has gone out of his way to make it feel homie. After this experience I will be back and already told a friend of mine who is having ac issues with his car to check this place out. read more

I went here today after experiencing AC issues with my Ford Fusion for at least 3 years - shutting off at random times, blowing hot air, intermittent temperature changes etc. Needless to say, it was long over due for a repair. I called Auto AC Xpress after a quick search on Yelp and they gave me two 1 hour windows on separate days to come in. I waited about 30 minutes to have it looked at, which wasn't that bad considering it was 115 degrees today and they were a little busy. The owner came back and said that my AC was working OK but given my history of trouble he would recommend a recharge to rule out any electrical issues. $65 later and my AC is working better than ever. I really value businesses like this - thorough testing, an easy to understand description of the issue and fair pricing. Had a 9:00 AM Appointment set the day before I went and I show up 30 minutes early. Call him at 9:00 AM and he starts arguing with me that he never schedules anyone at 9:00. Says he will be there in 30 minutes okay no big deal. 9:30 rolls by and it gets to 9:50. Called and got ignored so i decided to go right next door where they service AC's as well. My Mom and I took my SUV here because the AC was not blowing cold air and this shop is highly rated. The 1 guy there checked it out and 30 minutes later, told us that the A/C compressor was out and it would be $1,200 to fix. I thought that odd because it isn't a really old car and I've never had a single issue with it in the past but I took his word for it because I am obviously not in the car A/C repair business. I called my friends husband, who is a mechanic, and asked if he could repair it for less and he said yes, because the kit is only $400. (Where did $1,200 come from????) I took it to my friends husbands shop and he informed me that the container that held the freon had a crack and the compressor worked fine. The A/C works great now. Like what???????? My wife's AC in the car wasn't blowing very cold so I found this place on yelp and called. I was just in the dealership recently so decided to try somebody close to me that specializes in ac. He said to bring it on in and he could check it out right away. Not even 5 minutes after I came in he let me know it was something simple, just needed a recharge and there was a cap that was missing. I stopped by and saw Tony Friday... i was concerned that my A/C drain was plugged - he asked some questions, looked at the drain and said basically... you are fine its the heat and most of the moisture is simply evaporating. He checked my A/C.. told me i have nothing to worry about. He could have sold me a "check-up", he did not... he told me I did not need service... I was on an emergency trip from CA to AZ and decided to stop by this shop to service my 1998 Civic AC system since the weather in AZ sucks (sorry folks who live there). I found it on yelp near to where I stayed and it was on my last day living in AZ so I contacted Tony (the owner of the shop) asking for the same day service. The owner was friendly & really helpful in explaining to me what was really going on with my system without trying to up-sell me extra craps (I really hate this).
