Would recommend 0 stars but couldn't. I'm beyond furious with how this was handled. I was never notified about my vehicle being towed, no call, no email, nothing. I only found out after the fact, and now the tow company is demanding an outrageous amount of money for something I didn't even know was happening. It's ridiculous and completely unfair. To make matters worse, the community service police decided to call three cops for absolutely no reason, turning a simple situation into a huge, unnecessary scene. It felt completely overblown and disrespectful, as if they were trying to make the situation worse instead of actually helping. The lack of communication, the insane charges, and the overreaction from the police made this a total nightmare. There's zero transparency, zero courtesy, and zero accountability. 7/27 I called Auto Aide at 9:17AM to find out what the fees were. I was told $388. I asked the dispatcher if that was the amount that would be good until 5pm same day. He said yes. I get to the tow yard at 3pm. First.... They didn't have anyone in the office. A mechanic had to work the window to check me out. He radioed someone to find out the fees. $514?!?! I advised that I was told $388. The person I spoke to at dispatch FAILED to mention that the fee quote was good only until 11am which is the time my car was impounded and that the daily fee is $82. Also.... How does it go from $388 to $514 in one day? My math isn't the best but that is a difference of $126 not $82. Dispatch couldn't advise why I wasn't told..... also stated that "Kevin the manager" is the only person that can reduce the fees. Well Kevin just so happened to have left for the day and was unreachable. I asked Rigo (the mechanic at the window) what time I had to pick my car up next day (today) for the fee to stay at $514.... He said 11am. Returned to the tow company today at 10:54am only to be told the fee is now $548. Rigo FAILED to let me know that if the car wasn't picked up on Wednesday there would be an additional $82 charged. Rigo also advised that "Kevin the manager" (who is actually the owner) wasn't in today again. He stated if I called dispatch, a manager there had the authority to reduce the fees. So I called dispatch. Robert advised they are not in fact authorized to reduce the fees but someone from the actual tow company could call Kevin. I also questioned the fees as $548 seemed exorbitant. Robert advised that the tow fee was $308 and the daily storage was $248 as it's the 3rd day. Again. My math isn't the best but my car was towed on Tuesday. Today is Thursday. That adds up to 2 days not 3. I asked if there was ANY way to lower the fees. Apparently I was already given a half hour off discount. Woo hoo. Whatever that means?! I asked Rigo the mechanic to please call Kevin. He said he already did but he didn't answer. He refused to try calling him again. I then handed Rigo the exorbitant amount of $548. The topic then shifted to my car. My partner asked Rigo if the car was on the Jack. He asked this because we were in the process of changing my tire when the car was towed so it was up on a Jack. Before Rigo could answer.... There was another employee whose name I failed to get.... Young, slim, blonde. Polite when first meeting. Even gave me a cold water on Wednesday ..... he chimed in with an attitude towards my partner for asking a question. A question he didn't even know the answer to. My partner had been speaking to Rigo and the young man was out of line chiming in. Words were exchanged and there were threats made as the situation escalated. The young man though became the main aggressor the moment he stepped out of the building and aggressively stomped towards my partner making threats. As my partner was walking to his vehicle, the young man taunted him with "ha ha I still have your car". When I in reality it was my car. Rigo walked out a few minutes later and stated they would not be releasing my car today and they aren't open on weekends. "The camera sees everything" he said. I then called Perris non emergency at 11:41am asking for a deputy to come to the tow yard. After that I called the dispatch office to see if there was any way to get my car. He then called Rigo and was told the only way would be if a deputy came to keep the peace. I asked if it made a difference at all that the young man became the aggressor by walking out of the building and towards the gate threatening my partner. Robert says "well that's not what they say happened". Hopefully someone looks at the camera footage..... since "the camera sees everything". Finally get to the point I can get my car. I asked for an itemized receipt as the fees just seem WAY too high. $548 for two days?!?! You will see their definition of itemized in the picture.... My car was on a Jack when towed. The driver when I asked about the Jack turned around and answered with his back turned towards me "oh I will have to remember which truck I was driving because it's in the truck". Didn't see him again. At first they refused to help with my tire but Rigo did end up putting my tire on for me which I do appreciate. He also found a comparable Jack to give me. I appreciate that also. The fees charged are WAY higher than what is quoted on their signage outside the building. It seems to me they charge whatever they want and don't expect to be questioned. I don't care to spend $548 needlessly and will continue to question the fees until I get an answer or a solution. And " Kevin the manager/owner"..... if you aren't going to bother being in the office for situations like this.... You need to hire or assign a manager that can make these decisions. I'd be happy to volunteer. I would appreciate it if someone with authority would please reach out to me. read more

I found a nail in my tire and called AAA so they could change my tire out. They sent Carlos from Auto Aide Towing within the hour. Carlos was very friendly and helpful. Unlike the last guy that changed out my tire last year (I have bad luck running over nails) he actually made sure my spare had enough air in it, and explained other stuff to me that I half understood because we had to wear masks.. speaking with a mask on isn't always ideal. Their driver responded to a vehicle pickup in our parking lot that is open to the public. The vehicle leaked a large amount of oil in our lot, directly in front of our business. The tow trucker driver was nice and dumped cat litter on the oil and loaded the car. Once the car was loaded, the tow truck driver left without sweeping up the car litter, leaving the mess behind. I called the company and they told me it's on the owner of the car to clean it up because the motor club that sent them does not pay them to clean up the hazardous materials. So they make a mess but don't clean it up. The operator was very nice, I just think it's wrong that they leave the mess for the business owner without saying anything before they leave. read more

My car is stock height and higher than a honda parked next to it for the record. Long story short driver never shows up again. AWFUL experience. This tow yard tries to make things as difficult as they can in order to suck as much money in daily storage fees as possible. Our teenage daughter totaled her car and she suffered a severe concussion and many other injuries, we (her parents) went to go handle the situation at the tow yard. Apparently, since she is the person on title (we gave her the car), by law she is the one who had to be present to see the car. Okay, fine, fair enough if that's the law. We went to get our daughter (an hour round trip to Perris) and take her back to the tow yard. They verified her ID and let us see the car. They told us to have the insurance company come see it and they would take it to the junk yard as it was completely totaled. The insurance company went to see the car and after verifying it was a total loss, they told us to call Auto Aide and ask them to release the car. Upon calling Auto Aide, we were told it would have to be IN PERSON (again). We explained that our daughter was injured and it was not easy to get her there. And, besides that, she had just physically been there earlier that week. Why didn't they have her sign the release then? Clearly because it's a game they play to rack up revenue via storage fees. After getting into a bad accident or having a loved one get into a bad accident, it just makes the situation even more stressful having dealing with a place like this. read more

They came onto my property to tow a motor home and in the process pushed my electric gate and broke the motor so that it would not open or close. When I went there with the bill for the repair I was told they would not pay and to take them to court. I did take them to small claims court and won the judgement and now they refuse to even talk to me let alone pay the judgement! read more

We had a machine get stolen off of a jobsite that was recovered by the police and towed away by Auto Aide. I called them to get it released and it was $1445 to pick it up from 15 mins from there yard which I thought was really high. When we went to pick it up the bill changed to $2300 because they said their guy gave us the wrong price. We paid it because we had to get the machine released and I called back and talked to the owner and he told me their representative gave the wrong price, their drivers make commission and they had already paid him, and they can't go back and change the price. He offered to move something for us for free next time but I told him I don't trust him to risk doing a transaction with a business that has no integrity and does a bait and switch. We talked for 15 minutes and I explained how if his employee gave a total for an invoice that should mean something and he said it doesn't matter. Wouldn't recommend them and hopefully they don't ever impound something of yours because the prices are extortion. read more

Thought I had to give permission, but was told I didn't have to do that unless I was releasing the vehicle. So the appraiser shows up and they won't let them on the lot and the guy screams at me and threatens me when I call. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! They are liars and total scumbags. On 3/9/20, my car was broken in and passenger window smashed at work. My personal belongings were stolen so had no cash or credit cards. I called AAA and I was blessed to have Bob assist me. He was very respectful and helpful. Since it was raining, he stopped by the auto store and picked up a tarp and bungie cords to cover my window to prevent damage to the inside of my car. They are crooks and scamers. And I've found many reviews on sites that agree. Was in a car accident. Other drivers fault. Was going to use my free AAA to tow it right down the street to my house. (Accident happened on my own street) The police officer said they use this tow company and it goes through insurance. Once the drive arrived he proceeded to tell me how if I got it towed home it'd take an insurance adjuster forever to come to my home but if it goes to their tow yard they call insurance themselves and get them to come quicker. Even gave me a car and said this has all the info to tell your insurance company. Well now they say they don't allow adjusters on their lot and I have to pay $500 cash myself to get my car today or they'll keep adding money. read more
