Tried to get my tire replaced but the person at this shop didn't seem too interested in helping me. He didn't have the tires in stock and I had to ask if he could order them. He couldn't tell me when they would be in. Again... didn't check or call anyone. Took my vehicle to another shop, they called and ordered tires that morning, were delivered in the afternoon, and my car was done before I got off work for the day. I was referred by a friend for my tires, was greeted by Bryan with lots of knowledge and super friendly. I ended up getting an oil change as well since I was due for one. They give you option to bring your own oil or the order and someone drops off the oil it's pretty quick . So far been here twice and both times greeted by Bryan the rest of the staff good and helpful as well. Good deals, professional and honest. Ever since then that tire in particular that i got changed at chavez I have always been putting air in it because it's always been going down, and I didn't think nothing of it. thought there was probably a nail or something stuck in it that was causing the air to come down. Few months ago I went to take it to a tire shop and figure let me get this nail out and patched up. the guys didn't want to touch it because once they saw the bump on the tire, they said it was no good. The tire is bad and they said you should take it back and get it fixed or credited, but since time has passed I didn't think I would get that help. so I had the tire replaced and they showed me inside the tire when they poured water on the tire the bubbling would start. i posted the image and circled the leak It was a hole from that bump that was causing the tire to go down every time I put air in it. So it was just, a matter of time that that tire could have popped as I was on the road. so now I went this last Tuesday to get a tire replaced from the same shop here at chavez this last Tuesday, April 30, 2024. So he got my tire changed. I did not bring up the time i was there and how i got charged for a bad tire. So anyways once I went last Tuesday, got my back tire changed and then a few minutes later my tire pressure sensor was blinking for awhile then stayed on. I checked my tires. no flats or anything i see. I checked the pressure. they're all within 32 to 35 except the one that i got replaced was about 40 or a little bit more. I reset tire pressure and sensor light went off, but then the blinking came back later on. And this was not an issue until I got the tire changed at chavez. So instantly right away after I got it the same day on Tuesday it started blinking all through today on May 2, 2024. I am going to have tires checked and see which sensor is damaged or bad or if it's the batteries I will see and have video and photos and will update later. If owner or worker from chavez can read this please reach out to me if you guys can fix it or help me out it you much appreciate it. its twice and if this was damaged during process of getting tire changed...i will post here and sadly to say i will have time look elsewhere for my tires read more

If you're ever in need of a tow, we highly recommend Chavez Towing. We were stuck in Idyllwild and had a terrible experience with AAA - after an 8 hour wait, stuck at a gas station in a snow storm, they were unable to find a single tow truck and kept connecting us to companies that didn't have any availability until the next day. Desperate and fed up, we decided to pay out of pocket for a local tow service and are so glad we called Chavez Towing. Not only was the owner, Mr. Chavez, extremely kind and helpful, but he also went above and beyond for us. He came to pick us up within 45 minutes!! This made us extremely happy becasue AAA would quote us a 2 hour wait and then end up cancelling the tow truck (this happend 3 times, we wasted the whole day waiting for them). But, Chavez was our hero that day, his service was efficient, reliable, and reasonably priced. We can't thank him enough for saving us from this AAA disaster and getting us safely home. Not only was he knowledgeable and informative in his approach, but he was also very honest which is something I feel like I don't get to experience a lot when taking my cars in to have ANYTHING done and it's a big thing I'm always looking for when I have any exchange. Many people at the shops I've been to try to sell me on this or that using fear tactics when I just came in for something as simple as an oil change or brake fluid. Juan however did NOT, he focused on the task at hand. Once I told him the problem he went right to work, answered any questions I had, offered easy to comprehend solutions, and ultimately let me know the ball was in my court for whatever decisions I wanted to make. The reason for my visit today was to swap out my bad tires that had seen overuse due to my commuter lifestyle and to fix my brakes. I suspected they were going bad this morning right before coming in, but I had not checked all of them myself. I just figured I've put this car through the ringer and it's a good idea to swap everything out. Juan does his thing and gets right to work replacing the tires, fixing the alignment, and addresses my concerns about the breaks by checking. Instead of coming back to me and saying, "yes you need new brakes, I can put an order in for you right now and ring you up at the front because--blah blah blah" he comes back to me and says "Alright everything's done! I checked your brakes too, they're still good for a long time. There's no need to buy more just yet." That small final interaction along with our previous interactions here on yelp when I was searching the area like a hawk and when I first got into the shop made me really appreciate the man even more. Furthermore, I told him I could not be there until afternoon & he said he would hold them for me - geez, that's what great customer service is all about! Juan was the most rude and disrespectful person in have met in my life. I requested a U-Haul from this location and I was in a dire situation and on limited time. When I walked in, he was on his computer and eating an orange, he didn't greet me and hardly looked at me. Fine, cool, people have bad days I get it, but when I told him I was getting a U-Haul and gave him all my information, I pulled out my ID to give to him to process, he was like "No, you do it, I texted you the information, look at your phone." He wanted me to do everything myself and did not want to work, fine I let that slide. But then he proceeds to have an argument with me about the return time which was 530pm stating "I don't wanna hear nothing when that time comes and you talking about you need an extra day" rude as hell. I had to cut him off because he was taking too long to process me, he didn't print out my contract stating his printer wasn't working and then he took his sweet time walking to get the truck. When I looked at my virtual contract, he put the gas dial higher than what I had it in the contract! He does not have a designated area to drop off U-Hauls. When the time came around 530pm my family member called him to inform him we would need an extra day because we hit a snag with a drop off, he proceeded to yell at my family member and say "Didn't I tell you that I didn't want to hear you say you needed an extra day?" My family member had to tell him they never talked to him before and he goes "Oh" and then said "Yeah yeah I'll text you and add a day fine" and that was the end of the call. Newsflash, I didn't get a text but I surely got charged for an extra day. But I was able to drop off the U-Haul maybe 5 minutes after he closed on the same day and had to park the trailer in the parking lot like he told me, but I had to illegally park it because there wasn't a designated area, but that's how he told me to park the truck. If you're thinking about renting from him as a U-Haul customer, don't do it. And if you make the same mistake I did, take photos of everything, inside, outside, the gas dial and look at your contract! I would never rent from this location ever again! read more
