I had $7,500 worth of work done on my truck 31 months ago. Part of why i used dad's auto was for the warranty of 36 months unlimited miles. They replaced the lifters on my silverado which means head gasket was also replaced. Head gasket has failed and the new ownership won't honor the warranty. Great way to scam money, over priced work with great warranty behind it then skip town or claim new ownership. read more

I Was in a decent predicament with my tail lights being out after my truck getting hit. I work every single day mostly all day and With Already having one cop give me a warning to fix it and being scared of someone hitting me from behind at night it only led to me needing to find a place to fix it ASAP especially with heavy rain next week. I found this place and it was very close to my house, with great reviews! I did all I could to fix the problem myself but I was searching for a needle in a haystack without the proper equipment to detect where the problem was and no time. I am absolutely thrilled at how fast the issue was found and fixed, all within 6 hours, and based on the reviews of this place I know they do exceptionally good work and are great people! With all that being said, I'm just a bit disappointed and overall pretty unsatisfied with the way it was done. I payed $350 to have a 8ft strand of wire ran into my existing tailight harness, and over the phone after the quote I had told them just make it look as OEM and professional as possible like it was your own vehicle. I get home and go to inspect the work and I find the green wire (power wire) dilly looped through my frame, brake lines and frame clips that held in my old harness broken and a whole stretch of wire harness dangling. I'm completely satisfied with how fast it was done and I would say I would be 100% happy with the amount I spent for it to be done that fast if it was done right and looked like it had a bit of care thrown into it.... Which I can now see why it was finished so quickly. I will take it apart and re do it myself and spent the extra hour to make it not noticeable and most importantly SAFE and RELIABLE, away from open road conditions and moving parts that can pull and shred it. Like I said overall very disappointed with the work and lack of detail or effort put into it when there was no time frame nor limit of money when I told them to make it look as professional and OEM as possible. Do not go here! They are liars and they rip people off. My son car was not starting so we took it to this company. They called us the next day saying they will have to charge us $1,400 for the inspection . First off they never told us that they were breaking it down to see what's the problem for $1,400 they just did it. Then we asked what's the total to get the car fix they told us $2,400 for everything. We had no choice because they had the car and to get it we will have to pay for break down. Unfortunately my son needed his car so we paid it. We get the car and three days later the car was doing the same thing: My husband spoke with a Dave and he said yeah you paid for us to get the car started. Are you freaking kidding me!!! We would have never said yes to $1,400 to break down a broke car and pay $2,400 just to have a car start up! Dave told us we can bring it back up there and they will fix it. We called to bring the car in and some guy told us that we would have to pay $149 for them to look at it again. It hasn't even been a week why should we have to pay for work you didn't do right? Then we asked for Dave he said we can bring the car in without a fee to have them fix it. Now Dave doesn't work there anymore. Yea he probably quit after seeing how these people are treating people. My Honda Needed the catalytic converter repair so I decided to take it here. I have a busy schedule and asked them if I can order the part over the phone. I left a deposit for the part and waited but It was worth the wait. I'd definitely would recommend this place to anyone, all the employees there are very respectful and helpful. Additional comments after accusations about me. You claim I cussed. That is a total lie. You should be ashamed. I expected that from your shop though. You wanted an additional $300 to replace a thermostat that cost $14 and takes 5 minutes to complete the job. I asked to simply leave it out so I could get home. Your man said he never removed it to check it. What is necessary. Only felt the hose. That bit of diagnosis you billed $110 for. In addition to over $400! Per hour for work preformed. You could have had a happy customer for 5 minutes of time. I was even willing to remove the thermostat myself to get home. Instead you refused to lend me a wrench for five minutes. I had to have the car towed home for the remaining five minute repair. I can't imagine what you do to people with little knowledge about the cars. read more

Since we moved to the SoCal, I've been searching for a new mechanic, other than the dealership repair centers we normally used. Contacted Dad's when I heard a familiar sound when starting my vehicle, that only meant that the starter was starting to give out. Since we drive all over SoCal, it was decided that we would do a proactive R & R, rather than wait for the starter to fail somewhere inconvenient. I was pleasantly surprised when I left an email for them to give me a ball park estimate to R & R a starter, and they responded with an amount that was lower than I was anticipating. Of course, being a SoCal AAA member gets you another 10% off parts and labor plus 2 years or 24,000 mileage warranty on the repair. I hate doing this but I am beyond frustrated with the service I am getting trying to get my truck smogged. I called in after 4 pm on Friday. I explained to the man that answered the phone that I just got out of the hospital and that I live 1 shopping center from the shop. I figured if any place could take care of me by picking the truck up it would come with a name like dads. The gentleman on the phone agreed to do it, but it would have to be a slow morning during the week. I told him I was fine with anytime. He asked me to call back Monday morning. I called back on Monday and a woman answered claiming nobody there would say such a thing to me. I call back again on Tuesday. Same lady. I am more persistent. I hear the other phone ring. She answers it and then puts me on hold without saying anything. I am leaving one star because this lady refused to let me talk to someone or even try to help me get to the bottom of a service I was offered. Update: I probably overreacted. I sincerely wish the mechanic who had offered to go above and beyond had just come clean, but I am sure that he could have gotten in trouble. It would have impressed me more had the lady just said so rather than stonewalling me. I was actually intending to switch all of my maintainable over to a local shop instead of going all the way to the dealer for every little thing, but this one little white lie reminded me why I typically stick with the big dealer. We went over to have a car we were thinking about buying checked out. AAA offers a service for $90. When we arrived, the place was clean, the receptionist was nice and the waiting room was great. There is a tv, plenty of seating and tons of good magazines. The guy took the car to the bay and in about 30 minutes he was back. He asked us to come out to the bay so we could see what he was talking about. The car was lifted in the air and we could walk under it. While he made his points he showed us on the car the problems. The car was a wreck! He asked us if we wanted to do the driving inspection, but at that point we knew we wouldn't buy it so we saved everyone some time and skipped it. That auto check saved us $4,000! We really enjoyed the atmosphere. We didn't feel like we were being taken advantage of or talked down to. We'll definitely be back. read more

I just had my free inspection here from AAA and they look like nice people. BUT they rip us off bigtime. They gave us an estimate list of my toyota corolla 2002 about $1,300+ and my Honda CRV 2002 about $722 when i asked my cousin who's a mechanic and told me an honest opinion that my toyota would only cost about $450 and my CRV will only cost $250. DONT LET THEIR NICE FACES FOOL YOU!! the nerve that they took out my toyota's engine oil, like its been wiped out, we had to go back home to moreno valley running the toyota without the engine oil.. you know how dangerous that is???? no wonder they say its unsafe to drive so we can go back to them and fix it but that saves us the labor of changing the oil, I will not come back here even if i was paid for it, i'll go somewhere else. read more
