Beware Beware Beware! Do not come to here for a brake light inspection. Person will take your money cash only, I paid 150 what he quoted me over the phone and still had the nerve to ask me where I got number I mentioned yelp on top of that he said his name was Jose which I'm guessing he lied about it. When I got there he said he normally charges 300. He took a couple hours when he could have just told me from the get-go the quarter panel needs to repaired and crack on the windshield a simple visual inspection on top of other things. Sayed is a professional! Most important note here, he's a certified Master ASE Technician. I come from an automotive background, and it says a lot when your shop is as clean and as organized as his is. I see some negative reviews here, but maybe they just like to whine. I brought in my Honda Accord for a Brake and Light inspection, and it passed with the exception of my 3rd brake light bulb. He offered me a replacement bulb for an extra cost, and happily paid it. I had my BMW X5 smoked check at Mr. Sayed's Auto Best auto shop on Thursday 09/09/2021. I also had had my X5 done the same at his shop several times before that. Every time i came, Mr. Sayed always treated me with courtesy, and provided me with efficient and professional service. I checked and saw that his price has always been competitive with other places for the same service. His shop is clean both in the waiting room and service area. While i was at his shop, i saw he have three other customers before me. I talked with everyone of them, and they all were very happy with his services. These customers had their vehicles done with different jobs than mine. He even helped one of the customers where to find parts at good price. One of the customers has a very old van, and he treated him with the same respect as he treated me (with a BMW) . Went in for brake and light inspection certificate, came out very disappointed to have learned after paying that Sayed was not upfront and withheld that if the inspection failed I would have to repay for the inspection. The lightbulbs were lose all they needed was tightening which I fixed myself. Paid $75 wants $35 to retest. Despite the negative reviews I chose to chance it and come here for a brake and light inspection for my Z. (Please read full review) Money well spent! $75 one time and done. I called them Thursday about getting a inspection on my Z trying to get prices for this inspection. Every where wants $120.. $140.. $160.. he told me $75.. finally a shop with a REALISTIC price. Come in Saturday and meet with (Sayed?), and tell them I'm here for the inspection for my Z. He has no customers and takes me right in. He pulls my car in the shop and gets right into doing the inspection. He starts checking my lights and then goes onto my brakes. I'm still weary due to the amount of negative reviews about failures and "scams" here. He calls me over after he's done and I'm waiting for him to give me some excuse to make me pay more like all the reviews said.. Well he tells me I failed due to my one front parking light not being lit... which I knew about it but didn't think it would give a failure. He said other than that it's good. He tells me if you wanna run home and can fix it I'm here till 4... or even Monday I'll let you come back and pass if you can get that to work. I said ok and ran home and got it fixed. Ive worked on cars for 10 years and also own my own shop so it was a easy fix for me. Come in and be honored it no problem. He took a quick look and had me turn on the lights to be sure it was fixed, then he wrote me off and passed my car. Just like that. He then explained the whole DMV process and told me about how important the certs were and not to lose them. At this time he had other customers just pull up but focused on me until we were finished. He was VERY professional and very nice. I honestly just think he takes his job and inspections VERY seriously and goes by the book. If you have a car that's with in requirements you should be fine. I worked in this field and own parts shop for a while and know many mechanics like this that just don't like to risk their certs and licenses letting customers slide on inspections and requirements. Especially for state and DMV. But to be sure you pass, what you need to triple check and make sure works before getting this done is.. he checks All exterior lights: Head lights High beams Day time run lights (front parking lights) Blinkers front and rear Hazards front a rear Brake lights Reverse lights And make sure all wires are clean and proper. Ghetto rigged or hanging bad wires will not fly. Then on the interior: Make sure all dash lights work for each function Hazard dash light High beam indicator Blinker indicators E brake dash light Brakes system: E brake locks and is tight Brake pedal stops car and all brakes engage Pads and rotors are installed and not damaged Brake lines aren't damaged or uninstalled And you must have your pink slip showing registered owner. He must have the exact spelling and name on the current title for the inspection papers. If it's wrong they are void and you will have to have an all new inspection done. And everything is factory. I had after market lights on my car. But being quality lights similar to OEM he said they were fine. But aftermarket lights do not pass due to not meeting DOT specs. If you have all of that in order and your lights and everything else is properly installed you should pass no problem. I really think this shop just gets a bad rap because he takes his testing and inspecting very seriously and doesn't just let things slide like some shops. Which probably explains a lot of these bad reviews of people not passing. I'd say don't have any fear. Ignore the negative reviews. Just make sure your car is ready to pass inspection. Again I gave you just about everything he checks. If all of that isn't ready you probably won't pass. Simple as that. Anyways I give this shop a 5 star no problem. Great guy, great customer service, professional inspection and was done in an hour. Even after driving home and fixing my day light that didn't pass it took roughly an hour of that. This doesn't deserve most of the reviews I saw. At least in my experience today. read more

When I got to the shop coming from San Bernardino I got a different price $40 bucks for the head lights and $$40 bucks for the brake light inspection. I didn't mind but when they told me one of my bulbs were bad for the parking light, I went ahead and replaced it and they wanted to charge me again. Be careful with these people. I called in at 11:00am saying that the store was open at 10:00am and no answer. My boyfriend and I had been calling the owner's number all day long. Finally he answered telling us he will come in at 1pm. We said okay! We will wait. We waited until 1:30pm to see if he was coming, which he said he was but then he changed his estimated time arrival at 2:00pm. As soon as it hit 2:05pm we called to see if he was there and he said he was but when we arrived a client had already came in before us. After waiting for almost 5 hours someone else was there before us. I seriously don't get that. I called to make an appointment for a brake and light inspection, (just needed the certificate) on the day of my appointment I went in and one of my lights was off. So I was advised it needed to be changed. I told the owner i would take a 5 minute trip to auto zone and change the light out. I got back in less than 20 minutes, And the owner said I needed to pay another $25 to re inpect my vehicle. When he had just inspected it and told me only that light needed to be changed.
