I needed to do a smog check from a STAR certified station. I came across an ad for $24.75+ $8.25 cert, I took in my car today along with the ad and showed him (the owner) the ad he did not honor that coupon ad, so then I did the smog anyways because I was already there. I brought in my 2003 Honda Civic and he charged me $50.00(total price). I will not be coming back EVER. It's true that he is SCAMING people of the coupon price then charges them his full price on smog check when they come in. THUMBS DOWN for this shop!!!! read more

Auto Best - Came in with coupon ad hoping to pay $24.75+$8.25cert, but came out with a $50.00 bill - Auto Repair Near Me - Santa Ana, California

Go to place for the DMV check ups you need got the light and brake inspection done and showed me exactly what needed to be done to pass and completed everything in one Saturday. Nice owner and great service. read more

If i could zero stars i would. 1 star only because he let me charge my phone while i waited. $105 for brake and light inspection. Do not come here for anything, you will get ripped off. I dont normally leave reviews, only to warn people. read more

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. As a young naive female, I always get worried when I go to car places because I am afraid of getting swindled, but that was not the case here. I printed out a coupon to get my smog checked and they accepted it. READ the coupon before you go, it only works on certain model year/size cars. I saved at least 20% on my smog check. These guys were VERY informative. They taught me all about transmission fluid (I didn't even know that existed before I went here). Turns out its supposed to be pinkish/red.... and not brown like mine was. They fixed that for about $15-20 less than what other places charge (I called my Dad AND googled it ;) ). I will definitely be going back here again. Plus they have a ton of girly magazines to read. read more

Do not come to this shady repair shop unless you are seeking to get ripped off. I came here after seeing their penny saver add for a $20 tune up and $15 oil change. They give me some weird logic about how it's impossible to do it for their OWN PRICE as listed and tell me the price will be $75! I mention that Autozone sells oil and a filter for about that price, they say "oh but the oil we use is so much better". pssh The also tell me that every car is different and the spark plugs for mine are very expensive, which is odd when I last changed the spark plugs myself they were something like $10 total. When I tell them to stop jerking me around and I call them on their BS, the guy insults my mother and asks me if I want to fight. Totally not worth it, worst auto repair experience EVER!! read more

STAY AWAY from this shop! If I have read the yelp reviews ahead of time, I definitely will not go to this place. This place is a SCAM. Like other reviewers commented, they completely disregarded the coupon price for smog test and charged you a much higher unreasonable price $$$$. I also noticed another trick they used. They liked to ask customers to give them the DMV letters even they are not waiting in the shop. It seems like it's their ways of keeping business. Definitely will never go back again!! read more

Came for brake and light inspection for DMV. Very satisfied compared to the other places that did both inspections and auto repairs. Would recommend over any auto repair/ inspection shop when dealing with brake and light inspections. read more

Great place , quick , easy and convenient. Brought my car here to get brake and light certification. Everything went through smooth !

Needed inspection on my break and light. Had fast service and manager Sayed was very friendly and worked. I recommend this place and I will definitely come for other services read more

I had the best experience. Fast, honest and professional. Give them a try. You will be very satisfied with their services.

As honest of a mechanic as I know. I've taken my previous and current car (Audi A5) to Sayed at Auto Best for the past 10 years. He has always taken really good care of my cars and has never tried to pressure sale me. He always gives me my options and allows me to bring in my own parts for repairs/upgrades. He's always busy, so sometimes you have to wait. It is probably best to call in advance to slower available times. Prices are always on par and customer service is excellent. Only fours stars for being too busy. I can't ever get in and out easily. read more

Sayed was quick with his services and did a great job on my car. He's located in the back of the center (a little hidden). I went around looking for a mechanic shop and everyone else said that the job will take 1.5-2 hours. I was in and out in 30-35 mins. He's the man! Thanks again for all your help! 5 STARS! read more

This place is awesome got my smog check here and It was super fast and efficient and you absolutely can't beat the price! My baby was sleeping and he allowed us to stay in the car while he was doing the check. Great experience and I will definitely be telling people about this place. read more

So we needed a brake and light inspection for my mother in law's car that is a salvage. I looked around and most places didn't have a technician available. I called about 7 different places but most don't provide this service. I decided to call Auto Best and Sayed, the manager, answered. He was very polite and knowledgeable as he was speaking to me over the phone. In fact, his price was the best I could find. So I decided to stop by and the best thing is that there was no waiting time! When it comes to car mechanics/services it is hard to find a reliable one. However, I highly recommend this place to get your light and break inspection. If it helps, tell Sayed you saw this review on yelp. He may give you an additional discount. Thank you Sayed for your services. read more

I have been bringing my cars here for 10+ years. Sayed has never failed to be honest & courteous, and his prices have always been more than fair. He has always taken the time to look over my vehicles in general...show me parts that need repair/replacing...and advise me of things that I want to keep my eye on. I am, more than most, apt in my mechanical skills & knowledge. I have simply hit a point in my life that I don't want to do these things myself any more. When I take one of my cars into a shop, I know darn well what needs to be done - but it's always fun to hear what these guys have to say...I definitely don't look like a girl that would know how to work on cars. Sayed has been, since day #1, as honest and as helpful as they get. read more

Making this review for for my mother's friend witch she asked me to do for her since she doesn't have a yelp account. Old school u know haha. Anyway she said to give this shop and the manager a 5 start. He was friendly and professional read more

Great service. I was expecting him to say my car failed because well it's a bmw and people are always looking to scam me. I was going to haggle the price but I was very happy with the service. He was a man of his word. My bmw 328i coupe is notorious for people assuming I'm wealthy. He did the job and very honest. read more

I wouldn't recommend going...went for a smog was told the car didn't pass And that's a car needs to be ran 100 miles and the bring it back and pay again read more

This place was an amazing price and amazing service, in and out in 15 mins, will def be going here again

Quick service, quick response and great customer service. I'll def be back next year for another smog check

Found Autos Best on Google I called them and the gentleman on the phone seemed very friendly and nice. He was available right away which was awesome because we needed a smog ASAP to get our tags. We decided hey why not take a shot we came here to the heart of Santa Ana and found fast friendly and honest service from Auto best. He definitely beat his competitors prices by far and got us in and out. Thank you so much Autos Best read more

They were extremely courteous, fast, honest and extremely helpful. I would recommend them to anybody.

This gentleman is an absolute legend. he got my car in superquick-literally five minutes after I called for a smog test. He is polite professional and the energy of the working environment is really positive. He explained everything and even check my oil for me as I was worried about it leaking. Thank you so much I live up in Los Angeles but honestly if I had a problem I would drive back down here as I really trust this guy. Thank you so much. read more

Brake and Lamp inspection This shop has great service. Nothing but professional. If you are looking for honesty, please visit this shop and talk with service Engineer. I was worried about the old reviews I read about this place, but after getting my inspection done I had a different opinion. Great shop for all your smog and brake and lamp inspection needs. There will always be criticism, but I strongly recommend this place for service. Thanks Sayed...... read more

It's the worse place to go!!! It's a waste of time and all they want is to take your money!!

Did my smog check on my Lexis today with no waiting and the best price. Good service, good follow up recommendation and the world record smallest waiting room which I found very cute and efficient. Stayed was very informative and pleasant and took good care of me. Thanks read more

$50 for an oil change and smog check? Good deal, I called around other places...smog check ranged from $30-$70 and oil changed from $20-$30. Took a little over an hour. There's also Tacos Mexico and various pho places within walking distance to check out while they're working on your car. They also changed my air filter, which hadn't changed in months and checked out the overall condition of my car...said that I needed some repairs, but they're probably trying to hustle me lol so I just said oh I'll come back some other time when I have cash. Other than that, the services I needed were prompt and cheap. Would definitely return, but it's kinda far and out of my way. read more

I do not recommend. I came in for a light inspection and after paying him in cash he told me my license plate light was out and couldn't pass the car. He couldn't give me an estimate of how much he would charge to fix the light because he said he had to check the entire electric wiring to fix one bulb. Obviously he was just trying to make some money. And said it would be $35 to recheck my car because his time is valuable, he only spent 10 minutes max checking my car. He's trying scam people with a low advertised price. Most important, as a woman alone with this man, I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. I couldn't leave fast enough. He's a crook. read more

I went in for a lamp and break inspection (75 bucks). Thinking I was going to save some bucks I ended up spending more. When Sayed inspection my car it failed due to smoke headlight and stripped studs and lug nuts. Instead of helping you pass your inspection Sayed finds anything not to pass. I always work on my car and never had my studs and lug nuts stripped and Sayed said someone used grease to force in the lug nuts with the stripped studs. I never remember using grease, I came to a conclusion that he stripped it for me to return and pay for another inspection ($40). I ended up spending over 200 bucks to have my studs remove. Don't get your break and lamp inspection here! read more

this place is a rip off!!! i would not bring your car here for any work. their coupon that advertise is only for "small cars"... bait and switch scheme. they will do anything they can to see that your car fails inspection to try to get more work and empty your wallet. warning, avoid this shop!!!! read more

This place is very shady. I took my car for a smog check. then i got a "no pass" because of some error on the car's computer system. I was told to fix the problem and come back for a free test. So after a week I got the car fixed and came back to try to get a free smog check. the shop didn't honor the 2nd free smog check. read more

I absolutely love the service! Customer service is amazing and they are fast. Sayed helped us and he is professional and helpful. I will be returning. #1 Auto shop! read more

I called last Friday and asked to come in, Sayed - was so friendly over the phone. I explained to him what I needed to get done. He said I could bring the car anytime. I finally made my way to Auto Best a few days later. Again Sayed was very friendly over the phone when I asked for specific directions. Great customer service and very good prices! Definitely recommend coming here to anyone! read more

The waiting time here always is bad..usually have to wait 3hrs just for a smog.

Great place, the manager (Sayed) is really kind and helpful. Also, takes time aside with what he needs to fix and fixed any other little issue without an extra charge. He fixed my car very well after it failed the brakes and lights test and gave me a free retest after. Will definitely come again if my car needs those types of repairs again. read more
