Still, they told me it could not be patched and that I needed to buy a used tire instead. Since I was already there and the work needed to be done, I ended up paying $60 for a used tire. What disappointed me most was that I originally thought I would be able to keep my old tire and take it home, because I believed I could patch it myself and keep it as a spare. In the end, that was not how it worked. Their used tire replacement process meant they kept my original tire and gave me another used tire in exchange. So it did not really feel like I was simply buying a used tire for $60. It felt more like I was trading in my old tire, which did not even have a hole that obvious to me, and still paying $60 on top of that. The service was done quickly, but the overall experience left me feeling less satisfied than before. Next time, I would definitely compare prices and ask more questions at a few other shops before making a decision.on the car

A Plus Tire Club's Owner Larry went out and checked out my tires and said I just need the right front tire for now. They don't sell used tires but he asked his employee went and checked for one and found one for my 2020 Toyota Sienna. He found a pretty good one with 50% tread left. I said how much? $40 with installation and no tax. 10 minutes later is was on my car, and all tires were cleaned with tire lotion. I gave them $40 plus $10 tip for their honesty, great help in finding me a spare in their used tire that day, and for their extreme efficiency in putting the tire on my car...( they call it NASCAR tire changing like they do in races. I can not believe how cool, amazing, honest, fun, funny, and great service they provided me ( and saved me$$$$$) by letting me know the other 3 tires were still good. I give this place and Larry (the owner) and his employees a million stars! I think they spent about 30 minutes or less on my car which is pretty fast from my experience. They didn't scratch the rims (19 inch staggered wheels like rear 255/35R19) They used torque wrenches. We were looking at buying an Audi Q4 e-tron that had a damage report. A reputable dealership told us it was "minor" and offered to take it to the mechanic for our peace of mind. I had already done my due diligence and familiarized myself with the vehicle and potential issues. I asked Arnold very specific, technical questions that I already knew the answers to. BIGGEST RIPOFF !!! If you care about your vehicle do not come to Mr. D's. auto repair. Theyre a complete rip off and fraudulent service. He charged me $1250 to replace the fuel pump. The problem was not fixed I took it back and he charged me an extra $100 because he (Michael) said he forgot to program it. Wait... why do i have to pay extra for something that should have been part of the repair (common sense). The problem was still not fixed. I took it to another mechanic and they said that the fuel pump was never changed. I'm now in the process of Suing this incompetent repair shop. You know what this place is? It's a trip back in time to a land where you could trust your auto mechanic to always be honest with you and to look out for your best interests. Beware of this place!!! Mr.D seems like a nice old man looking after you and with that he plays the part. Took my 1999 C230 Mercedes to see how much a Mass Air Flow Senor will be to replaced. He have a an estimate of $319 for the part and $35.00 labor. I told him I would think about it. Bought the sensor on Amazon for $125 and will have another mechanic install it for $50.00. My Girlfriends family has been going to Mr D's for 20-30 years. Forget the dealer, if Mr D can do the work, have it done there. Honest, Reliable, been in the community for decades. Whether your a Car guy or completely clueless, Mr D will treat you right. Does work for Westminster and Santa Ana localgovernments so you know he and his crew are good. Everything is extremely straight now, we both took the time to see where the issue may lie and resolved it. Will come back again. Aside from doing good work, I feel like being personable and having great customer service skills, regardless of what industry you're in, goes a long way with finding repeat customers and Van passed with flying colors. I happened to stumble upon his shop on yelp while looking for different options to fix my car and he gave me the most affordable quote and he was very thorough in explaining what were the potential issues with my car and how it would need to be fixed.
