crazy fees. highest in all of jacksonville. predatory behavior. entertainment facility cowboy hats, breast out, simple a bait and switch op

Title: Dishonest Pricing and Predatory Fees - Avoid This Place I came to Auto Boutique Jacksonville as a veteran, ready to buy a vehicle they had listed for $8,600. The experience turned into a complete nightmare of misleading pricing, lack of transparency, and outright disrespect. Here's exactly what they tried to pull on me: * Base Price (advertised): $8,600 * Bogus "Guardian Shield" add-on: $999.00 * Electronic Filing Fee: $199.00 (real cost is $50-$80 in Florida) * Non-Tax Fees: $526.90 (inflated "doc" fees) * Taxes: $782.66 * Total Out-the-Door Price: $13,103.93 That's an outrageous 40%+ price increase from what they advertised -- nearly $4,500 in hidden fees they don't disclose until you're ready to sign. To make it worse, Alex, the manager, literally ambushed us with this inflated write-up and tried to justify it by saying, "We're still the cheapest." No -- you're only the "cheapest" because you inflate the price with bogus add-ons and excessive fees after getting people through the door. We explained our situation clearly upfront and even mentioned my veteran status, but instead of honest service, we got hours wasted looking at four different vehicles: * One with electrical issues and speakers popping * Another with the hood literally off * And the Hyundai we wanted, which was advertised with 97,000 miles but actually had 123,000 The dealership is disorganized, unprofessional in appearance, and completely lacks respect for customers. This is a bait-and-switch operation -- list cheap, lure you in, then ambush you with inflated fees and pressure tactics. If you're considering buying here, don't waste your time. There are honest dealerships in Jacksonville that value transparency and customer service. Auto Boutique does not.

GX 460 that we were going to pay cash for.

Our experience started out great. We were greeted promptly. Met with our first guy giving us information on the vehicle that we were interested in. We took the GX 460 for a test drive. Came back to go over pricing with a second guy. They tried to sell us the GX with a higher price. We informed him that we gave the first guy information about the suv being priced $1,000 cheaper. They honored the lower price. We gave what we thought was a fair offer. The sales rep took it to his manager & came back with a price higher. We showed the sales rep two other comparable GX 460 that were around the same year & mileage, significantly priced lower. We were told that they price match. Apparently that was not true. This is when things went downhill. The closer/ general manager/ owner spoke (can't remember his name) introduced himself to us. He gave us a final price ($1,500 difference). We didn't come to an agreement. Even when I mentioned that the GX 460 had been sitting for over 4 plus months. The middle eastern guy said "There is a certain audience for that type of vehicle". We mentioned that we were going to pay cash and the guy said "I couldn't care less how you pay". We said thank you and have a great day! All the good things we've heard about Auto Boutique have gone down the drain with the closing guy! We will be taking our business elsewhere. Buyers beware. They like to get you in with lower prices and then add on ridiculous fees. $5,000 extra in our case.

I referred my son to purchase a vehicle here, and again they provided amazing service and my son walked away with his new car! A 2024 Nissan Sentra, great condition and reasonable price. Everyone here is just so helpful and really want to make sure they can get you in a vehicle.

    Over inflated hidden fees!

Bait & switch! The advertise a price, but after hours of dealing with them, they finally come out with charging you $999 for "paint protection" that you cannot decline. I tried and they the "discounted" it to their cost at $198! They tried to sneak in almost $1300 in a dealer fee they disguise as a "doc fee" then charge an additional $900 in processing fees, all in addition to the inflated licensing and registration fees they add on top of all that. Their advertising is fake! Plan on spending 5-6 thousand more than what they advertise! In addition to all of that, I went through the process of submitting everything for the online appraisal including the requested photos, and was given an "in-writing" trade-in value range, then was offered only half of that after I made the 100 mile drive to their Jacksonville location. I cannot stress the "bait and switch " situation I experienced at auto boutique. Definitely would not recommend!

Fraud, Discrimination, and Shady Dealings--Stay Away from Auto Boutique! I wish I could leave a ZERO-star review for Auto Boutique. My experience with this dealership has been nothing short of a nightmare. Here's what happened when I bought a 2019 Mustang from them on June 25, 2024: 1. FORGED CONTRACT: After signing a wet ink contract, Auto Boutique forged an electronic version and submitted it to GM Financial--with terms I NEVER agreed to. This is fraud, plain and simple. 2. ODOMETER FRAUD: There are multiple versions of the odometer disclosure, all with the same mileage, claiming the car hadn't been driven from June 19-25. This is a blatant lie, as I drove the car during this time. 3. DISCRIMINATION: The term "NEWFAG" appeared in several official documents, including DMV records. As an openly gay person, this is deeply offensive, discriminatory, and completely unprofessional. No one should have to deal with this kind of treatment! 4. SHADY ADD-ONS: They forced me to pay for extras like LoJack and paint protection, which they claimed were "pre-installed." I still have no access to these features, proving their shady business practices. CAR IN THE SHOP: Since the purchase, my car has spent 88 days in the shop, undergoing its second rear-end differential replacement. I've only had it in my possession for 14 days! Since 6/25/24! LEGAL ACTION: I've filed complaints with the CFPB, FTC, and BBB, and I'm working with my attorney to take legal action against these fraudulent practices. I'm sharing this review to warn others--don't fall victim to the fraud and shady dealings at Auto Boutique. They've proven themselves to be an unethical dealership that discriminates against customers and engages in deceptive practices. BEWARE!

We went to this dealership to purchase a vehicle, Nissan Sentra , for my nephew. It was very busy that day but with any dealership prepare to wait obviously. However we were very patient and out Sales rep, Natahlia assisted us through the initial process and then her manager Shay finish out the day. Through the decisions trying to decipher between two vehicles Shay was very patient and informative. I appreciated his honest feedback and caring nature. Even though Shay was awesome Nathalie still will check on us to see how the process was going. I appreciate her general concerns with our needs very helpful. Jax if you are looking for a great car dealership and honest no haggle experience I would definitely recommend. Thanks again for a great experience!! Thanks Shay for feeding my family after the dealership close . Exceptional service!

At the beginning, the service was excellent and the process went smoothly. Everything seemed fine until I went to pick up the vehicle. When I arrived, the hood was peeling. The salesperson told me they knew a place that could repair it at a low cost because they do work for them. I asked for the contact information three different times and never received it. One of the seats does not go up, and although I was told the seat motor would be replaced, the replacement part turned out to be used and was already installed on another seat. Also, while most dealerships wash vehicles before delivery, this one was not cleaned. That was not a major issue for me, but it added to the overall experience. The most frustrating part was the temporary tag situation. I called one week before it expired and was told it was not ready yet. I reminded them that it was just a tag transfer and that the expiration date was approaching. I was told they would call me. I called the day before it expired and was told I had to pay a fee. I have purchased several vehicles before and have never been charged an additional fee after the sale for something like this. Then I was told there was a "hold" in the system -- which is not my responsibility, especially with a temporary tag about to expire. I felt this was handled irresponsibly. I asked them to have my tag and seat repair ready and told them I would pay the fee, but then I was told installation had already been paid for (the shop is owned by them). I requested that the amount they planned to charge for installation be credited toward the tag fee they created. I was told they would speak with the manager, but I never received a proper resolution and was charged anyway. Shortly after the sale, I was asked to leave a review. Based on previous experiences purchasing vehicles, I prefer to wait until the entire process is completed before writing a review. I wanted to make sure everything was handled properly first. Unfortunately, this has been my experience. At the beginning, the salesperson said this was the easiest sale he had ever had. Unfortunately, I can now say this has been one of the biggest disappointments I've experienced when purchasing a vehicle. I do not believe this is solely the salesperson's fault, which is why I am not mentioning his name. However, management and leadership need to improve. The lack of professionalism and accountability is very concerning. I would not recommend this dealership based on my experience.

And so is this place, trying to make the best of an embarrassing situation. Stay tuned for the end of the story.... I started getting suspicious when the person managing our paperwork was smoking up a storm after we signed the paperwork for the car and proceeded to drive it off the lot. Not even a month later the power steering went out. We were told at the time of sale that any lawsuits would not be managed through them but through a third-party. I personally like the idea of them addressing the issue, because I have a sneaking suspicion they knew what they were selling.
