If you're thinking about getting work done here, I'd recommend going somewhere else. I'm really disappointed with how things turned out, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same experience. I came in this month (04/2025) because my car was making a squeaking noise in reverse. I figured it was time to replace the belt. I'd been here before and trusted them, so I didn't expect anything shady. They told me the issue was my front brakes and that the rear needed cleaning -- no mention of the belt. I went along with it, paid nearly $600, and the noise stopped. At first, I was just relieved the issue was fixed. But later I found out they had replaced the belt -- the actual problem -- which is a job that shouldn't have cost more than $100. Instead of being upfront, they padded the bill with unnecessary brake work. That really hurt my trust. If they'd just told me the truth, I would've come back every time I needed help. I liked them and wanted to support their business, but I can't recommend a place that takes advantage of people. Please be careful -- I'd hate for someone else to be misled the way I was. Cannot recommend this shop more. Oscar, Taylor and the crew will treat you right and are experienced, informed, honest and careful. These guys know their stuff and nothing is out of their ability. Took my car in for an inspection and it failed due to the auxiliary brake light. This shop quoted me about 200.00 for the replacement light and installation. I looked at the problem myself and found that the issue was the brake light switch, a cost of 14.00 with tax and a ten minute installation with no tools required. This is common problem with Honda and Acura vehicles. The folks at the shop were nice enough but they aren't up on make specific issues and didn't earn my trust for anything beyond an oil change or inspection. read more

Unimpressed. Low air light came on for my tire during my morning commute. Every time this happens, I have a nail or screw in my tire. This place is close to where I work, so I took the car over to have them look at the tire, and asked for an oil change and tire rotation. Picked the car up after work. They charged me upwards of $90 for oil change, tire rotation, and to fix the tire. NEXT MORNING tire air light comes on again (for the position the tire was rotated to, so at least I know they did rotate tires), I take the car to my regular place and get the tire fixed for real. I'm not do much irate they just aired up my tire and didn't really look for the leak... I am irate they charged me to fix it when they didn't, really. Makes me wonder if they really changed my oil. I mean, I think they did... But you get the point now I think. read more

what a terribe auto mechanic. I went in there to get my AC check out, it cost me $85, after 7 hours later, he told me it was the Compressor. He say he'll replaced for 5-6 hundred, i say it's ok. I went and put in a new Compressor and found out it was the expansion valve clog up. Went back and told him, he say oh no, when we say bad Compressor, its the valve, dryer and all kind of other crap. what a rip off place. DO NOT GO THERE. the guy seems nice, he's old and have an accent. I feel like they rip me off big time. Old man name is FRED, dont be fool by him. Saturn ION. read more

I'm new to the Houston area and one of the first things I did was go to Auto Care Unlimited to get my inspection and oil change done. I was wary at first because I feel like auto repair shops are always out to get you but my experience with Fred and Tony at Auto Care Unlimited was a breath of fresh air. The guys were honest and did not try to up-sell me on anything and they were also extremely friendly and polite. Never a problem here. They have shown me first hand repairs that were not done that I had paid for at another place. Replaced my radiator and water pump. A month later had a leak. Fred replaced the radiator at NO cost to me as it was still under warranty. They could've easily said that it was something else. My check engine light came on and after the initial repair, it came back. They didn't charge me a single thing to get to the bottom of it (simple vacuum hose). I found a new instrument cluster bezel for my Jeep and they replaced it free. Great customer service!! read more
