    Leaky corroded connection
    David T.

Where to start? First off the salesman was pleasant and helpful but that is where it ends. I went to pickup the car and all was good. I got it home and in minutes there was a giant red/pink puddle underneath the front DS of the vehicle. I looked into it and found out it was the transmission line going to the cooler that was leaking. I made an appointment to bring the car in and when I got there they informed it couldn't be fixed while I waited...this was never conveyed to me when I made the appointment. I waited for 45 minutes for someone to give me an answer and finally someone came by and asked for my keys. The car disappeared into the back and came out again an hour later. The "mechanic" told me it was a faulty connection but they didn't have the part so they ordered it and I would get a call to bring it back in. He informed me that he tightened that connection and cleaned it so it wouldn't leak. I drove the car to MY mechanic as I had an appointment to have the tires changed (this was my choice and not a complaint). As I pulled in, I noticed the fluid pouring out of the front of the car again. The entire underside of the vehicle was saturated with tranny fluid as it had leaked the entire way down the highway. I was told that it wasn't safe to drive the car as it had lost so much fluid. I left the car there to get the tires replaced and got a ride home. I waited to hear back from the dealership, which I still haven't heard from, and no one ever answers the phone and the VM is always full. I finally had to have the car repaired by my mechanic since I needed the car for my daughter. They say the car goes through 3 shops to be looked over and I call BS on that and if its true they are the worst mechanics ever! As the fluid line was being replaced it was discovered that the shift linkage was being held together with ZIP TIES. I cant imagine what type of mechanic would look over such a thing. No call back, no part ordered, and a bill for me to the tune of over $1300!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I wish I could give them half or zero stars..... Also the pictures online are from before Covid and they had those cars all professionally detailed at a photo shoot.

4 years and about 6K miles, I bare drove the thing.

Absolute con artists. Bought a car here in 2015, and was not allowed to drive it home, they had to do an inspection. I asked for the Carfax, but they resisted and said they would have it when I picked it up... They told me it would be 3 days for the inspection. It took 2 weeks... I called many times to complain and was given an attitude. I finally got mad and they told me to come the next day. I brought the car home and it was missing one of its headlights. I don't mean broken, I mean missing. Like someone took it out to fix it, and never put a new one in. The Alignment was off by almost 10 degrees. I took it for a short trip upstate, and the oil pressure sensor intermittently went out... I called and they said the car was in good shape when they sold it to me and that since it was over the lemon law mileage, and past the 30 days they couldn't/wouldn't help me. (2 weeks of those 30 days was spent waiting for an inspection that somehow missed all these issues). Checked the car Fax, and it was a Sandy Car... The dealer knew this... The underside was full of rust and many of the issues the car has had, came from this rust... The whole underside was rotten like old wood, and flaking away. Fast forward 4 years, and about 6K miles, I swore I'd drive the car into the ground and after almost 4K in repairs since I bought it, and today it died for the last time, the frame literally broke in half on one side of the car, almost causing me to flip out of control had I been driving at higher speed. I suppose I can only blame the dealer so much because I should have known better, but they saw a sucker when they saw me and took advantage of me instead of helping me out. I told them I was a first-time car buyer and just wanted something that would be reliable for work, and instead, I got something that was a total lemon. I learned a valuable lesson with this car... It was my first and will be my last from these con artists. Buyer beware... in fact, don't even stop here. My mechanic recommends that I buy a Toyota next time... And to stay away from Auto-expo.

Bought my teenager a Jeep Cherokee today!
    Bill S.

I just drove off the Jeep off the lot. I'm going to wait to write a full review, just to see how the car is running. If the engine falls out, I'm gonna be pissed. Christmas time 2016, I feel like I was watching a loop. Every parent was coming to this location with the same story: "We're looking for a good Jeep for our teenager" My story is different. My youngest is starting his 2nd semester of college and is driving my Wrangler. I tell my son lets look at a used RAV 4 or a Honda CRV? He says, dad should I also wear my Ugg boots to school?! (Whatever that means, teenagers) Daaaaad, I wanna 4 Wheel Drive Jeep! But not another Wranger, I want a Cherokee! Well, they don't make the car anymore. He always liked the Cherokee body style and this is what he wants. Lemme start searching... I find Auto Expo on the internet and see on the website a forest green Cherokee in pristine condition. (A classic bait and switch) My wife & I drive to the location and speak to the manager. No that particular Jeep was sold. We have a few in a back, take a look and let me know what you find. Lots of older Cherokees that I'm looking for but with high mileage. I find all the way in the back a 2000 Cherokee with low mileage, clean interior but rough paint. Just knowing what I know about this car and my Wrangler: bulletproof 6 cylinder engine Japanese transmission that is indestructible Dana rear end And my wife is acting this is like shopping for a new Audi! Where you get coffee and doughnuts in the waiting room. The muddy parking lot snaps her back to reality. The sales guys aren't polished, they're as a matter of fact. This is the price. We'll take care of everything for you: rotors/brakes, fluids, everything will be working and we'll have the Jeep paint touched up nice for you. Now I have lotsa personalities to deal with. I have my wife saying, sounds great, see you in a few days. (The car wasn't ready before Christmas) Now my wife is all pissy. I have these two sales guys who have negative Yelp reviews. I like the body style and just know with any Jeep, when you put it in 4WD low its like driving a Mars Rover. It can tackle anything. The car is all prepped last week (after Christmas) and I tell the sales guy I want to take the car for a long drive. I'll come back with a certified check. Instead I bring it to my trusted auto mechanic in Miller Place. We put it on the lift and see a few things that need to be addressed. I bring the car back, show the sales manager the report and say, I ain't buying this car until you fix these items. The owner is called, we discuss fixing the items and I'll come back when all said and done. A few days later I'm told the Jeep is fixed. I picked up the Jeep today. So far, so good. I'm not gonna jump up and down saying these guys rock. 3 stars isn't bad, I'll write another review after the car is used for 30 days.

Just because it looks good on the outside doesn't mean it's not a lemon, the only thing this dealership can do is make the outside look good

This car dealership is awful, I brought my jeep back to them with issues 4 times, and they never did a thing, I was lied to by Cliff every time I walked into the place, They told me they were working on my jeep but realistically they have no clue what they're doing, the mechanics aren't trained properly and no one is professional there, don't buy from this dealership, it will give you a headache and cost you lots of money!

    Nick R.

The worst place ever!!!!! I spent 10,000 on a jeep. Bought an extended warranty with it too. To make a long story short. The car needs a cat converter. Needs 2100 of work done. I found this out after the check engine light came on driving it home. They WILL NOT HONOR THE LEMON LAWS OR FIX IT!!!! You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. I will be trying to proceed further with this situation. This place is terrible. Please please do not buy a car from here. I spoke with the owner numerous times. He is rude and basically told me to go away. After taking ten thousand dollars from me. Man oh man I hate this place

I purchased a VW Passat CC from Erik the owner @ Primary Motors for roughly $12k (not cheap)…read more This was probably the worst decision of my life so far. From the start Erik assured my the car would be fully serviced and cleaned when I arrived to pick it up. 2 weeks later the oil level was low I called Erik and his response was that it wasn't his problem and to get an oil change "its only $80" he said. I queried Erik about the car service that was promised and he had no paperwork to back it up. Done by his "in-house" guy but there is no paperwork yet the car ran low oil 2 weeks after servicing after barely any driving. The car came with roughly 76'000 miles on the clock. After driving the car only 2000 miles I got an oil pressure light on the car so I brought it straight to a VW dealership and they done a diagnostics on the car. My lawyer contacted Erik by letter about all of the defects and Erik replied stating the car didn't qualify as a lemon as the problem was reported after 60 days but had not been drove 3,000 miles. Basically washed his hands of the car and offered no help or solution as a "dealer". To my surprise they told me the CAR ENGINE was going to have to be replaced due to low compression, oil pan was fully rotted, exhaust clamp was rotted and needed new, passenger side axel was damaged and needed immediate attention, drive belt needed to be replaced, air filters was absolutely disgusting, front arm control brackets had separation and movement in the brackets. Stabilizer links had to be replaced. The brake fluid on the VW report was reported as looking like "tar". To summarize where I now am with this car, I have been without a car since November 23rd 2021. It is now January 17th 2022 and I have been dropping the car to every auto tech in Queens to repair it. They all say it is too much work and nobody will do the repairs, also the 3rd party warranty Erik sold is garbage and YOU WILL end up paying for repairs on top of your existing. I cannot believe no AUTO shop in Queens is willing to do the work as there is so much damage with the car. Primary motors never serviced the car or gave it a once over before selling as I was promised they would the day I viewed the car in their office. THEY SOLD ME A CAR BEYOND REPAIR!!! I am now facing thousands of dollars of auto repairs whenever I can find a guy to do them. I have been without a car for 2 months now. I have called the garage numerous times but nobody ever picks up my cell number anymore so I am not getting any help from the "reputable car dealer I purchased my car from" and this is a clear story of how they treat their customers. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM PRIMARY MOTORS.

The car I'm looking for is NOT a Nissan, but this dealership happened to have a used version of exactly what I want in stock. Hence why I contacted a dealership 4+ hours (including a ferry ride!) from my home. The first thing I noticed was the disorganization. I was passed between multiple people (& had to start from scratch with each one, as if they got no briefing on me whatsoever) & felt fatigued right away. I did finally get one single person on my case, & I have to give them credit - they were speedy with their responses & generally very kind. Not a painful conversationalist, either. Pleasant enough. That's about where the good experience ended ... Because oh my LORDY this dealership loves its fees (that they don't disclose until you've wasted so much of your time with them already). So here's what I found out. First of all, the listing price (that is also reported on other third-party sites, like cars.com) is absolutely not the listing price. It is the price *after a $2,000 down payment. So that's not the price, bozos. Maybe I'm a curmudgeon, but I feel like that bait & switch should be outlawed. Or punished by tar & feather. Next up is the "prep" fee of $1,695 & the "transport" fee of $1,495. Sincerely, HUH?! They justify the fee by saying they split their total overarching costs between all of their vehicles (shady, I don't believe it) so every car on the lot has the same "prep" & "transport" fee. So get this - the car I was interested in was allegedly "the manager's" previous vehicle. So the "transport" fee didn't apply to me. But because of their devious "pool & split" fee practice, I'd be paying for other people's transport cost ... Don't lose me here. I'm almost done. So back & forth we go about my budget & what I needed (which was NOT $5,000 more than the listing price) & they did the whole "let me check with the boss" thing & then had the audacity to act like they were doing me a huge favor by knocking ~$2,000 off the car. That doesn't even cover their fake fees. Needless to say, I didn't buy the car. Because why in the world would I pay that much over my budget & that much over market price, especially to a dishonest dealership. I'm tired. I did, however, continue to get calls from them for ages after I said NO, THANK YOU. In one of their many voicemails that they left me, they said I was aggressive (for wanting the car to be priced at what it's actually worth, not 5k more). Review turned into a diary entry. Whoops.

Their commitment to customer satisfaction made my car-leasing journey memorable and stress-free. From the moment I stepped into the dealership, it was clear that everyone was dedicated to providing a welcoming experience. Each staff member went out of their way to introduce themselves and make me feel at home. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, which set the perfect tone for what could have been a stressful process. I brought my two teenage sons along, and they were immediately captivated by the beautiful cars on display. What impressed me the most was how Keiran, Kim and the team were not only accommodating to me but also made my sons feel included. They greeted my boys with enthusiasm, asking if they needed assistance and engaging them in conversation about the vehicles. This thoughtful approach ensured my sons felt welcomed and valued, rather than sidelined during the experience. Keiran was attentive and genuinely focused on understanding my needs. He patiently listened to my preferences for my dream car, asking insightful questions that helped refine my options. His ability to clearly communicate the features and benefits of different models was impressive, making me feel informed and comfortable at every step. He was always available to answer my questions, ensuring I understood my options without any pressure. Ahmer complemented Keiran's efforts by handling the financial aspects with expertise. What stood out was his transparency and commitment to finding the best financing solutions for me. On the day of signing, I was pleasantly surprised when they presented me with a leasing offer that was significantly lower than I had anticipated. This unexpected reduction made the entire experience even more rewarding. In anticipation of my arrival, Ahmer had everything meticulously prepared for me, so I didn't have to spend hours filling out paperwork. It was evident that both Keiran and Ahmer had worked diligently to secure the best deal for me, which only heightened my excitement about my new car. Throughout the process, Keiran and Ahmer worked seamlessly together to create a hassle-free experience. They coordinated test drives, managed the paperwork efficiently, and kept me informed throughout. Keiran's patience was particularly noteworthy; he encouraged me to take my time in making decisions and never rushed me. Ultimately, I drove away in my dream car, and I couldn't be happier. I wholeheartedly recommend Keiran and Ahmer at Habberstad BMW to anyone seeking a supportive and personalized car-buying experience. Their dedication to going above and beyond, especially Keiran's patient communication and the surprise on signing day, truly sets them apart. If you're looking for a new BMW, these are the professionals to see! They've made me a customer for life
