After bringing my 2021 Subaru Ascent to Oakwood Car Care, the mechanic Mike, alerted me to the fact that the 2 remaining tires had some cracking on the sidewalls and should also be replaced. They preformed a computerized wheel alignment and installed a new set of 4 Pirelli Scorpion tires for the same price as the other ones. Now my family is back on the road, and the car handles great. Joe, Mike, Lauren and everyone at Oakwood does a good job of keeping my family safe for a fair price! I cannot thank them enough. I would highly recommend!!!!

I was a little iffy to be honest for the lack of reviews, which tend to be skewed since most people tend review when there's an issue. So the bumper needed to be replaced on my black 2016 Camry with an OEM one which came out to $100 cheaper than a bigger known repair shop. I can't comment on them REPAIRING as they REPLACED the bumper, but all I have to say they did an amazing job on the paint matching! A lot of the times you can tell that a car got their bumper repainted since it has a slightly different hue upon observation, but this place color matched PERFECTLY. There's blue glitter in the black paint in the sun and they were even able to get that in the paint as well -- incredible. I even attached photos where you can even see for it yourself. Although the rear end collision was an inconvenience to me, I'm happy that I know that I have a place where I can bring it to now. Thank you so much on the great job Vittorio's!

My accident affected my front tire and bumper, no engine damage or any sort of damage that would have required them to mess around with the inside of my car. Immediately after driving my car, I knew it was not the same anymore. My car would shake like the tires weren't aligned properly, my trunk would open out of nowhere (especially while on a highway), and just drove overall poorly. Before my accident, the car drove just great at 66,000 miles. I don't want to believe they swapped out parts while having my car for that long, but I guess I'll never know what went on behind closed doors. It got to the point where I didn't feel safe in my car and ended up getting rid of it and buying a brand new car. Such a shame.

He commented that he could try to get them for me same day but I planned to come a few days later, Nick stated he'd have them ready for me when I came to the shop. I was directed to pay (use cash to avoid the 3% credit fee) and by the time I was done, my tires were already off and being swapped out. I didn't notice a waiting area (it was a bit cold out but tolerable) but in honesty, it wasn't really needed as I basically blinked and my new tires were on and I was being told that I was ready to go. Overall, every single person I interacted with was absolutely amazing. From talking to Nick to get the right tire and have all my questions answered, to the man directing me to the correct bay to pull my car in, to the cashier (slightly hard to hear with all the noise but ok), to the two men who installed my new tires, I was incredibly impressed! I'll be sure to recommend every person to here if they want fast, reliable, and knowledgeable experience.

He did an excellent job on all my windows. The cost was reasonable, he and his helper arrived as planned, and finished and cleaned up very well. If you wish, you may use my name as a positive reference. Pricing goes by the size of the window(s). You'll have to do some measuring in advance, send the dimensions to him, and then Jerry can give you an estimate. He'ss answer any of your questions and concerns, and is a very congenial guy. I first took my car to Trio in 2001 when Tony had his shop in Syosset. His shop was next door to my office and my initial reason for using him was convenience. I was so impressed with his attention to detail and his broad based knowledge of auto repair that I have stayed with him for the last eighteen years. When he moved his shop to Huntington it was no longer convenient but I would never consider giving up an honest and exceptional mechanic just for convenience.. One of my sons took his old jeep to another mechanic up in Albany when he was in school there and was told it needed $1400.00 of work to pass inspection. We brought it to Trio. Tony said it needed work to pass inspection but it only cost $400.00. Tony has never pushed any repair and always explained what could wait and what should be done right away. At times when one of my cars needed an expensive repair Tony always informed me whether or not the repair should have been covered under a warranty from the dealer and told me how to make sure the dealer honored the warranty. I can't imagine taking my car to another mechanic. read more

I took my ancient Jetta to Trio with a brake system problem even the dealer couldn't fix as well as a turbo/vacuum system problem and Tony fixed it perfectly. I seriously thought I was going to have to give the car to KARS 4 KIDS or something, but now it's back on the road and running like new! Thank you! I can't recommend Trio enough! read more

I had made an appointment for an oil change using a VALID coupon that was advertised on their website and Facebook. When I arrived, I was told they would not honor the valid advertised price because their website hadn't been updated, and they wanted to charge me an additional $20. I was trying to explain in a calm manner why this VIOLATES federal laws like the Federal Trade Commission Act. I was truly shocked that a small business like this was so unaware of basic business practices. When I questioned why I should have to pay more because of an error on their website, the conversation turned into a heated argument. I explained that customers shouldn't be penalized for a business's failure to update its advertised pricing. I asked to speak to the owner and instead a male employee came out to yell at me when I attempted to explain how this could be misconstrued as a Bait & Switch tactic. They eventually agreed to honor the coupon, but then told me to "never come back." After years of being a loyal customer and referring friends and family, I found the entire experience horrific and unprofessional. Businesses make mistakes, but how they handle those mistakes--and how they treat loyal customers--matters. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I can no longer recommend A & R Auto, BUYER BEWARE

With the issue still not resolved they did additional research and wrote up a quote for what they believe is causing the issue. They didn't charge me for the first two visits when they could have easily charged for diagnostic/labor time, but they want to get the job done correctly. This type of honesty to their customers is what keeps people coming back!
