I have used Community in the past with excellent results and today only proved why I keep going…read moreback. I had a problem with my Malibu and called around for pricing. Community gave me a quote and set a time to look at the car. At the time, it was a week, due to high volume. While not excited about that, I understand they are busy. I took my car in last night and got a call this morning about the car. They were confused why I took the car in because I wasn't on their schedule, despite doing it a week ago, but looked at it anyways (huge thumbs up for them here). When I asked for the price, it came in $200 higher then I was told twice on the phone. I explained the entire situation to Mike and he honored the price that was quoted to me. I got the call the car was ready two hours later and pick-up was a breeze. I know some would say that there were a few problems but that is some of the best costumer service I have seen in a long time and they were quick to fix it - I will be back. Thanks Mike!

Still had the errors afterwards and I was told that it would away . Had a clunk when I test drove and power steering noise was told he didn't know what the issue was with the power steering without checking it out and the clunking noise was a tie rod needed replaced but he couldn't check anything else out he was only checking out the oxygen sensor . So what was the $160 for? The tie rod ended up being a bad strut that broke going down the road if you enjoy throwing $160 away for absolutely nothing and not getting your vehicle fixed properly take it here

Scheduling is simple, all the advisors I've worked with have been direct with me, and the wait time estimates are accurate more than not. I've used the shuttle a few times when I didn't want to wait at the dealership, and it's been very reliable. On the days I did end up waiting at the dealership, the waiting room is clean and comfortable. What really won me over was how they handled an oil leak that showed up right after my factory warranty had expired. Instead of leaving me to sort it out myself, they coordinated directly with my extended Nissan warranty and took care of the whole thing without making me chase down approvals or paperwork. It's moments like these that make you realize just how good a place is. There's no pressure, no upselling, nothing that ever felt like I was being steered toward services I didn't actually need. Every visit has been low-stress. When booking a service, always know your maintenance schedule for the vehicle, as it helps save time for everyone involved.

We were confused why our insurance wouldn't cover it so my husband called our warranty company to get further explanation. We were informed by our warranty company that no inquiries into coverage have been made. I understand that things happen, but this unfortunately was dishonesty from the service department. The work on the vehicle was up to standards, but this is an ethical issue that will likely result in us looking elsewhere for an honest service provider.

I ask questions multiple times and go over every last detail before buying. Gaven was very patient and didn't try the typical sales tactics - no four square or VIN etching/dealer prep nonsense and his numbers were always accurate and within reason. While no dealership is perfect, you could do a lot worse than taking a few minutes extra to drive to Hudson.

I'm posting here because the Mason City location is not listed on Yelp, and customers should be aware of my experience with the Colwell ownership group. I had a very disappointing experience with Colwell Motors. The dealership failed to disclose damage they already knew about, and their management team refused to take responsibility after the sale. Before buying the car, I asked multiple times if there were any issues. I was told there was "one small imperfection." After the sale, I discovered significant damage on the other side of the vehicle that was never mentioned. A member of their management team later admitted in writing that he saw this damage before the sale, yet it was not disclosed to me. When I brought this up, the dealership denied responsibility, contradicted themselves, and ignored clear evidence. Their management team refused to correct their own mistake and tried to shift blame instead of addressing the issue honestly. It's clear from my experience that the Colwell ownership group is focused on making the sale, not taking care of their customers. I would not trust their management team.
