The guy on the phone was jerking around with the prices for the repair and coming to my house charges. He started out at $75.00 then put me on hold, then $60.00, put me on hold then $50.00. Started out at $19.95 for the house visit, put me on hold and said zero dollars. With tax total charge was $54.00. Don't understand why he jerked me around for so long and every time he came back on the phone he acted like he was doing me a BIG favor. Really? I've done business with the WIndsheild Doctor for many, many years and this is the first time I had to go through this crap. Totally unnecessary. I am not impressed by this at all.

I thought that I would get it filled on my next day off but to my dismay it had cracked halfway across my windshield by the time I was out of work the next day. Turns out my insurance had an incredibly high deductible so I had to get it replaced with cash out of pocket. The folks here got me in quickly and were sympathetic to my plight but I had to get the windshield replaced before I could pass inspection in February. Fast forward to today (literally 6 weeks after getting my windshield replaced) another salt boulder hit my windshield and left a little crack. I called over to get a fill immediately as to not have to repeat the last expensive ordeal and they said come on over and we can fit you in! Turns out within the 4 minutes it took me to drive there, the crack spread (thanks, winter) and thus made it unable to fill. The man working the front desk was so nice and basically gave me a "pity discount" because he saw I had just gotten it replaced there and also mentioned if I paid in cash there is an additional discount on top of that knocking off a couple hundred from my total- which is amazing. This is the benefit of going to a Vermont owned and operated place over a large conglomerate is they understand and are willing to work with you. I wasn't just another car on a list, they were kind and understanding and I will always go to them for windshield needs. I can not suggest them more highly.

I had my windshield replace on July 21st which was wonderful, the problem I have is I was not…read moreinformed the work was finished. The technician left my key in my truck unattended, didn't give me a chance to inspect the work and broke the tow mirrors I just put on my truck about 2 months ago. I got an appointment set up for someone to look at the damage on Saturday July 25 between 12 and 5 but nobody showed up or called to tell me the technician apparently called out so sat home all day for nothing, called to file a complaint and discovered I was set up for an appointment for Thursday July 30th between 8 and 5 without anyone calling to tell me this so again sat home all day for yet another no call no show appointment to happen. The same technician that replaced my windshield, didn't inform me work was done, left my key in my unattended truck and broke my new mirrors has blown me off twice in the process of trying to get the damage fixed. I am beyond disappointed with the customer service and communication the Williston Vt location has so I requested to have the Rutland Vt location step in instead. Ten days I have been trying to get this problem dealt with now and really hope Rutland can be my saving grace and help finally resolve this issue. Update will be posted after my next appointment but I recommend staying away from the Williston location if you want bare minimum communication and a team that seems to care.

The receptionist Lynn was the MOST helpful and utterly amazing helping me navigate my insurance and figure out what was going to happen. I wish I could recall the gentleman's name who worked out back, but he was also amazing. I picked up my car this AM after repairs took about a week and I can't stop staring at my car. It's back to being brand new and I am thrilled. I hope I never have to see them again but if I ever need any bodywork done again would 10/10 times only go here ever again!!!

Erin (the owner) handled everything - submitting the estimate, dealing with the insurance adjuster, and even coordinated a rental vehicle for us (it was ready and waiting for me at the shop when I dropped off the car to be worked on.) I could not be happier with the quality of the repair, as well as the paint work that was performed. I looked over the repaired area very thoroughly trying to find something that was done incorrectly/poorly, and couldn't find anything. I highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for a high quality repair to their vehicle.

Found this business via a Google search. I was not disappointed…read more They managed to get me in less that 24 hours after I contacted them, and were able to accomodate to my work schedule. They finished 2 and a half hours earlier than initially expected. The pricing of my windshield and side mirror replacement, came in at just under $100 short of my expected budget (I shopped around a bit and talked to some people.) They actually picked up the gum wrappers and vacuumed the front and passenger seat floors for me as well. From now on I will be recommending all my friends to have their seasonal cracks fixed here.

The installer was stumped of why I would need a different windshield Since the new windshield would be exactly the same and it was just a matter of properly connecting the sensor. The other glass company did not even charge me for the repair. Portland Glass tried to sell me another windshield rather than finish the installation they botched the first time rather than finishing the installation I already paid for.
