She told us one thing when we dropped the car off and then said something completely different when we picked up the car. When we responded confused in the difference and asked for clarification she snapped and responded extremely aggressively and told us she never said what she had and tried to gaslight us? It was very confusing and scary. I apologized for my confusion as I did not want to upset her any further and she continued to deny what she had said earlier. I would not recommend this business to anybody, but if you must go I would either record everything Laura says or get it in writing. And do NOT leave the building when your car is getting worked on even if they say it is okay to leave. read more

I scheduled an appointment online with Safelite and was later contacted to let me know they needed to locate the glass, as it wasn't available aftermarket. I agreed to wait while they sourced it. A few days later, they requested my VIN, but I was unable to respond for two days due to being hospitalized. I eventually answered their call from the hospital. During that call, I was informed the cost had increased by $600. Shocked, I said out loud, "Oh f*@ck... how will I afford that?"--not directed at anyone, just reacting to the sudden price hike. The representative immediately accused me of swearing at her and began canceling my appointment. I tried to explain that I wasn't speaking to her that way, but she hung up on me. I contacted corporate for help, but they were no assistance. They told me I had to speak with the local shop. Corporate also claimed the local office had been trying to reach me for over a month, which was false--I had only scheduled the appointment less than two weeks prior and had received one call two days before speaking with them. I asked why they couldn't locate more affordable glass, especially since I was able to find it myself. They said their parts department would follow up, but I never heard back. The next day, I scheduled an appointment with Burlington Glass, who were able to source the glass aftermarket and quoted me half the price Safelite had. Also, Safelte had stated they could not get the glass until November and Burlington Glass could do it in as little as two days. Not only did Safelite misrepresent the situation twice, but they also treated me with complete disregard during a difficult time. Booked in a windshield replacement for a Honda Ridgeline and they wanted to charge $750 for a 'recalibration' on top of the quoted windshield replacement cost. Honda charges $250 for the same recalibration. Total rip off. They refused to just replace the windshield without the recalibration. read more

Their customer service really sucks!!! First appointment they never showed, called, or text to let me know that they had to order parts. Which I found out when I called the following Monday. They informed me then it would be 8 days before the parts would be in. That was fine. When the repairman showed up he was was lacking the power motor for my cars window and said that they would reschedule when it came in. Honestly the guys that work here are AMAZING! Got a chip in my windshield on my way up to Williston on a work trip. Called in and was able to get a same day appointment my stupid phone decided to stop working while I was in route to my appointment, not knowing the area at all I get lost. Managed to call in and the guys gave me great directions to get to the store . When I got there they were polite and super friendly. Got me in and out of there within 30 minutes. They called me from the 05495 location this morning (day of) to let me know it never came in...after 10 days of waiting and setting up rides/too & from the app with approx 60 miles of driving to get there and back. They should have called Fri or Sat if they didn't have it in or there was a shipment issue, not wait until right before the app on Monday to cancel. Piss-Poor customer service. Have called Geico, BBB, Safelite HQ in OH, they will be getting 0 on; Yelp, Google, FB etc...Do NOT recommend. read more

Safelite came out to repair a chip in my front windshield. The patch job was sloppy, increased the size of the chip/crack, and made the whole thing look significantly worse. They promised me that the fix was good, and in no way were their patches supposed to look good cosmetically. So now I either have a terrible looking windshield or have to get the whole thing replaced. read more

I've had my car go there for windshield replacement earlier this year. They fixed it but had to have me come back for the calibration of my camera. They o guess never thought to have the equipment for this before confirming my appointment! Still took my car and replaced it but I had to come back again to have it calibrated. Now about a year later I'm having to replace the windshield again. This time they call me the day before my appointment for my vin number to make sure they have the molding for my windshield! Which they figured out they had to order and called and rescheduled my appointment. Why wouldn't they do this earlier to be ready for my appointment! Also they still haven't confirmed with my insurance that it's covered! I feel they should have done this long before the day prior! I made my appointment two weeks ago! I got a crack in my window fill by Safelite and it split 10hrs after the repair. The "warranty" they offered me, was replacing the window with a $118 "discount". Ended up being $164 more then other companies. No refunds for failed products either. Ended up eating the cost. read more

I would like to preface this with, I began my glass claim on May 9th. Made appointment in May, they called two days before my appointment date and said I had to do it in garage due to recalibration requirement. Scheduled me another appointment almost 3 weeks out. I used to go to Subaru but they now require recalibration before you leave. I get a call the day of appointment and they ask to bring it in early. I drive almost an hour, sit down in waiting room and they come out and told me they ordered the wrong windshield. They had a windshield for the previous model year. Schedule me out two or three more weeks. Drop off, they replace. Call me say it won't recalibrate and they will need to replace the replacement as they cannot figure out what's wrong with it. Schedule me out three weeks. Day of appointment they call and say something happened and they or warehouse forgot to order my windshield. My appointment was now the 8 or 9th of August. Due to conflicts I couldn't make the appointment. Although this didn't matter because the windshield wasn't in yet according to Safelite customer service Who I called about missing the appointmen. Soonest they schedule is September 3rd. I arrive, it gets replaced and they still can't recalibrate. The people who work there are friendly but I'm out of patience with this comount. It's been one dropped ball after another. A sorry holds little meaning at this stage in the process. Now onto the dealership on September 20th. This is the most incompetent shop I have ever dealt with. Avoid them especially if you own a Subaru. read more

I was forced to visit this shop as dictated by my insurance provider, unfortunately. Spoiler alert- they are terrible. I scheduled my appointment weeks in advance and then dropped my vehicle off for the day on the day of my scheduled service. I never got a call or text notifying me of any progress, so I attempted to call for an update. Reaching someone at the local shop is impossible, and they decline any attempt to have calls transferred from the Safelite corporate call center. The pleasant rep informed me the replacement had started several hours prior, and it should certainly be complete, so I could head in to pick up the vehicle. As I headed out the door with my kids in tow, I received a call from the shop telling me they never ordered the replacement glass, and they would be unable to accommodate my service that day. I had to schedule an appointment for another day, with nary an apology or compensation for my lost time. As a business owner, I rely on this vehicle for work, so scheduling service appointments like this is a major pain that results in lost compensation. To go from bad to worse, a month later I noticed my inspection sticker is missing. Once again the shop will not own up to their incompetence or take any ownership. They told me, or rather relayed through the corporate call center, that I should have called them sooner.. tough luck! It remains to be seen whether Safelite will step up and make things right. Regardless, this has been a major ordeal. The shop off of Williston Rd. is awful, and you should steer clear if you are able to. read more

I came in with a spot where a rock hit my windshield. It was a pea sized spider crack that had been there for two months. They "repaired" the crack for me and were nice enough to cut the price because it took longer than expected. The problem was they didn't repair it and a week and a half later it was a two foot long crack. When I brought it back they let me know the could sell me a new windshield minus the price I paid to get it "fixed" less than two weeks earlier. I could barely see where the chip/crack from the rock that hit my mini's windshield on the highway. I had to get a crack in my windshield filled after a rock hit it while driving on the interstate. I made a claim through my insurance who set me up with Safelite. Safelite sent me two emails confirming everything. The morning of the appt they called again to confirm!! This happened on Sunday and they were able to get me in Tuesday. Better yet, Safelite came to me- to my job and got the work done in less than an hour. My service techs name was Jordan and I am so impressed with his customer service. Most of the service itsself went well, however, I was dissapointed with the results of the appointment. I had the expectation that the half-dollar-coin-sized starburst crack would magically vanish after the service, but cosmetically there appeared to have been very little change in the damage. While I can't fault the technician for effort since he told me he ran the sealer machine through two cycles to try to remove the crack, it's still obviously there, though slightly less distinct. Overall, I question whether the work I got was worth the $65 I paid. Personality-wise, the technician was very upbeat and friendly, so no compaints there, but while I appreciate the tech cleaning my carpets and washing the windows while he was waiting for the machine, as far as I can tell he only cleaned the front passenger carpet, and all the windows had bad streaking and actually looked worse than when I had brought the vheicle in, since I had washed it the day before, not to mention the multiple suction cup marks left on the inside of the windshield. Overall, I can't say I'm impressed. However, I know that glass can be very unforgiving, so my dissapointment with the repair itsself may be unjustified. Regardless, I'm hoping I don't have to ever get another crack repaired. read more

I just spent 20 minutes on the phone with Safelite, just to be told that they couldn't give me a price quote because "all vehicles have different windshields and different prices." I'm shopping around to get quotes before I make my decision and the woman I spoke with didn't seem to know anything about windshields at all. It's always annoying when I call an (802) number and get directed to someone in another state who couldn't even pronounce "Williston." Oh boy Glass Replacement! It is something you don't think about until you really need it - like getting your annual VT inspection. Pfffft. Well, Safelite AutoGlass made the whole process easy peasy. I scheduled it online. There were questions about what type of glass I had that I didn't understand, so I called. The CS walked me through which windshield to choose in a friendly and understandable manner. Next came the appointment emails and reminders. Very nice! My car was giving them difficulty with recalibration of the front facing camera. They were really apologetic about me having to come back multiple times and made it up to me big time by covering my deductible. I would definitely come back. These guys exceeded my expectations. This is a deviation from my typical gym and hotel reviews, but I was extremely impressed. I had a crack in my windshield about 9 inches long and required a windshield replacement. Making the appointment online was extremely easy and best of all they would come to me. There is a extra fee for this, but I was able to find a discount lurking online that largely negated it. I received a couple of email reminders and on the morning of my appointment the technician called to inform me of the estimated time of his arrival. He was prompt and extremely professional. I handed over the keys and in about an hour and a half he called to tell me he was all done. The new windshield looked great. What really impressed me was that not only did he vacuum the front of the car but he carefully removed and replaced anything that was on the windshield. (I had scotch tape I put on the window with the mileage I last changed the oil). This was a great experience and now a couple months later the windshield is holding up just fine. read more

This is my family's 4 time using this Safelite facility in the last year. Honest, helpful, great work consistently every time, with the various tech's both on the road and inside their facility. Every so often you run into an establishment that just makes you appreciate what good customer service looks like. Vandals broke my car windows on the weekend, the weather was lousy, and I needed my car for work soon as possible. I set up an online appointment Sunday (an older review said there was an extra fee for this but that isn't true anymore). It was easy and quick. Got a call immediately after they opened Monday morning from Scott. He was super polite and helpful, trying to meet my schedule needs, checking their warehouse for the correct windows and so on. They do great work and they really work with you. I will definitely use them in the future, and I recommend them to anyone. read more

The Williston office of safelite dispatched a service tech named Kyle. I was scheduled 8am-12pm 02/03/21. Kyle called at 754 am prior to the appointment. He stated that it was 'too cold' to perform my windshield replacement. I contacted safelite in Williston VT and asked what their policy was for cold weather and that I would need to reschedule my appointment for a warmer day. Two different employees stated that they would perform the work at 20 degrees and above, that below that the adhesives would not work. It was 29 degrees at my location. I called Kyle back to tell him it was above the minimum required temperature and he could still perform my windshield replacement. He was beyond rude on the phone, was very argumentative and hung up on me; additionally, he did not pick up when I tried to get connected with him again. I spoke to the manager of the Williston safelite (Mike) and he did confirm that the temperature minimum was 20 degrees. I told Mike how Kyle spoke to me on the phone and presumptively cancelled my appointment. He said he would talk to Kyle directly and make sure he was there by 12pm. At 1201pm Kyle arrived and was gruff in his attitude and tried to find any excuse not to complete the job. His demeanor was very aggressive. He eventually completed the windshield repair. I would not recommend Kyle for any household with women or children due to his aggressive and angry attitude. Amazing that they were recommended by GEICO. Do not recommend. read more

I made an appointment through Safelite and was supposed to save $25.00 with a Costco coupon. Safelite's cost even with the coupon seemed high for a simple small crack repair. Therefore I called the local Safelite directly and asked for a quote. The person on the phone said he would not give me a quote unless I gave him my name, phone, email and other information. I said I just wanted to know the price for a small crack and he refused to give me any information. So I called other glass companies in the area and they easily gave me quotes without my having to disclose personal information. Also they were HALF the price of Safelite - without a coupon! I had the worst auto experience with Safelite. I had a crack in my windshield and tried to get it fixed by going through Geico and their recommended servicer, Safelite. I scheduled an appointment for a technician to come to my apartment to repair the glass between 8 a.m.-noon. On the morning of, at 8:00 a.m., I got a call from Safelite saying it was too cold for someone to come repair it and we needed to re-schedule the appointment. Then, they called me the morning of the second appointment saying they could not come because of the light snow. All of this was so inconvenient as I had planned my morning around this appointment TWICE. I opted to go to the store to have them fix it, and upon arrival, they told me they did not have a necessary part needed to make the repair. They offered to make the piece, but at that point I declined because I was very frustrated with their lack of notice about important appointment details and the fact that they wasted so much of my time.
