I got a small star chip on my windshield about the size of a dime - the first after 20+ years and 230k miles of driving. I needed windshield repair on a small chip that stayed same size for months. Called for a quote then called back a few days later to make the appointment. Once there, front desk person told me to go outside and meet with technician for details on chip repair. Technician said he was there to tell me that I'd still see the chip and that there is no guarantee that it won't grow. Mind you, smaller than a dime, and they supposedly guarantee up to a quarter size, and during neither phone calls, nor on the website, nor in the office were these chip repair details disclosed. Oh well, for $60 and 15 - 20 minutes of time and I was already there, I went ahead. As I was taking off truck keys to give to tech, there happened to be a very light drizzle, and it was taking me about 30 seconds to take off keys just cause sometimes I'm not as quick as I used to be:). Got barked at repeatedly to hurry up and give all keys. He sighed and said now I'll have to dry the windshield. I said sorry, I could come back when its not drizzling. He said no and then backed off. The work truck was blocking the open bay, so when tech got in to move truck, had to wait a few minutes. It was very silly, but between not being told on website, either call, nor in the office of the fact that crack would still appear and no guarantee that it would not spread, and the extra grumpiness of the tech, pretty unprofessional meh experience. Great work, great service. All the 5 star reviews are correct. And based on those 308 five star reviews on Yelp they got my business. We were headed to a funeral in Abilene when a rock hit out windshield on IH20 just north of Pecos TX. It formed a star which usually means just a quick fix. The next day the star expanded to a huge crack that surly needed a new windshield. I call State Farm and said I wanted it replaced at Auto Glass Solutions, out next destination on the vacation trip. They forwarded the paperwork, no problem. The appointment was at 2pm, I arrived at 1:30pm, they started immediately. In 1.5 hours they were done. It was a complicated replacement with a new Collision Avoidance and Lane Keeping Assist System cameras mounted behind the rear view mirror directly onto the windshield. With a final QA inspection by the head guy at Auto Glass Solutions they walked me through the simple guidance to protect the repair for the next 48 hours. I could not be happier with the work.
