Nick and Vodek have always been honest and kind and exceptionally reliable and the team of mechanics are skilled and careful with my cars. I often will call Nick and ask for advice on my vehicle to determine if the care needs to go in. For both all three of my car purchases, I call the shop and get advice on the car I am purchasing and then bring the car to them to look over. All three vehicles have been excellent purchases and problem free - only requiring maintenance. He could have charged us double and I still would have been thrilled to have worked with him. The local Ford dealerships (plural) were able to see me in two months. Don't bring your vehicle here. I would leave less stars if I could. I brought my truck in for a check engine light. After it was "fixed", I didn't make it home before it came on again. Took it back and they found a new issue. Again I didn't make it home until the light came on. Wash rinse repeat the same process 4 times and thousands of dollars later. If I leave it somewhere to get repaired and I'm told "this is the problem" then I want it repaired. Every single time I left it in their hands it was something new and they could never pin point the problem and actually fix it. I just picked it up after another evaluation and they say this new issue is step one... when it has been there over and over again. I still don't know the freaking issue and my truck has spent more summertime with them than me. They also had the luxury of having my truck weeks at a time to diagnose and work at their own pace.... still no fix. Either they are the most CROOKED in the business or they are INCOMPETENT. read more

Took my VW vehicle into Auto International for a diagnostic in February 2020 after a check engine light came on. Diagnosed as a a turbo boost error and required a decision on my part - replace the turbo or not....Replaced the turbo after discussing the state of the engine and Nick's experience with it. Also did some routine maintenance which, in the end, came up to a little over $2,500. Plus I had to rent a car because I left it there for five days and they never worked on it until I called them. THE VERY NEXT DAY after I paid for and picked up my car it sounded horrible and the check engine light came back on. Fair enough, it was a big repair...called three times and left messages for Nick. No call back. On call four (4) I was able to get in touch with him and he was going to "formulate a plan and call me back in a couple minutes." Never called me back. Followed up one more time with no response. Ended up with my VW at the dealership in Annapolis only to find out that they never either, replaced the O2 sensor correctly, or not at all. Thankfully, they (the dealership) was honest and only charged me $150 for looking it over and correcting the issue but not after more than OVER TWO WEEKS LATER. Never go off-brand with these folks and their hokey place. I've had very good luck in the past with good VW mechanics but if you don't provide customer service, you won't make it. If you like to pay about $250.00 for roughly 30 minutes worth of work per hour and an exorbitant markup on parts... This is absolutely your place. High Dollar overrated business. It be cheaper to fly to Germany have a vacation and bring parts home with you. Actually better yet , fly a mechanic home with you and it would be cheaper. Amazing mechanic shop. I work in automotive industry and am familiar with all kinds of mechanics, these guys are the best. I take all my vehicles here and my family has for years. Vlodek and Nick are amazingly helpful and honest. They will always provide quality workmanship, honesty, and do their best to keep parts and labor costs to a minimum. I've lived in Baltimore for over a year and continue to bring my F-150 in Auto International for repairs and maintenance. Although this shop specializes in foreign autos (German, mostly), one of the mechanics came directly from the Ford dealership and know the ins and outs of my F-150. These guys are VW and Audi experts. I took my car here to get checked out after Winegardner's Auto car destroyed my engine. They offered a repair or a new engine and highlighted the pros and cons of both. They have mechanical engineers, not just auto mechanics. I asked them to assess if my engine had been a victim of bad repair work at the hand of Winegardner's Auto Care (stay away from Winegardner's). They acknowledged poor workmanship, but I think they were afraid to provide expert opinion in court. Even though they didn't want to get involved with a potential court case that would have likely saved me thousands of dollars, they are still good people doing quality work. read more

I took my 1989 560 SL Mercedes to have the AC repaired, took 4 weeks to get car back. The car had never been brought into the shop just left outside never locked, I know because I stopped by and could not believe my eyes. The car was fillthy, tools just everywhere, on the Mahogany console screw drivers. When I picked up my car I noticed a scratch across the console. I brought it to Nick's attention. He said he would try to replace the console since my car is Historic and only has 52,000 miles on it. I waited months and several phone calls later I finally heard from Nick. He said he found a Mahogany console it was 300.00 dollars and he wanted me to pay 150.00. I felt I didn't have a choice. When I picked up my car he charged me not 150.00 dollars but 190.00. I paid it just to get away from them. 2 days later noticed the console was cracked and broken. Again back to Auto International, he told me he would replace it but he then informed me the company went out of business. He refused to refund my money and said "to bad". I found the company and they didn't go out of business. I have spent 190.00 plus 290.00 to replace console 100.00 to have to have old one reinstalled and glued ( you see the reason the original one cracked is it was not installed properly).Then paid 100.00 dollars to have replacement one installed. All I can say is NEVER bring any car for repair to these people. I went to court and they never even showed up. MES read more
