Unfortunately my car had a weird size that wasn't easily found, but he did have one brand new. However I didn't have much money on me to pay for a brand new tire (which was a reasonable price) but he ended working with me and found a gently used tire that was very near my normal size and way less price. All in all I stopped her by random chance and I plan to be coming her for my needs in the future. He's very honest and doesn't play games or overcharge anyone. I needed tire lovin' TODAY. After making a snide comment about not wanting my money, I vaguely remembered a shady looking tire joint at South Green and Monticello. I rolled in at ten 'til close and asked the guy if he could help me out. In the good ol' American entrepreneurial spirit, he was happy to take my money and do an excellent job. They even loaded my freshly mounted wheel/tire combos into the back of my friend's truck for me. The guy that owns the place told me the price, or should I say SUGGESTED a price, and asked if I thought it was fair. Having had this same service performed twice a year for several years at NTB, I felt that it was more than fair. I knew I was in trouble when the woman at the counter immediately gave me an attitude and said "What did you do? Drive it on a flat?" No lady...I just drove the car, the way I'm supposed to. The owner comes out and looks at it and says there wasn't enough tire on the rim to tell what caused it, but that's because it blew and was all over the highway. Long story short, they will not cover my 10 day old tire. My only recourse is to save other people from the these shoddy work practices and "cash only" transactions.

As I drove from the parking garage to the circle to pick her up to go home, my front right tire went flat. We called roadside assistance through our insurance agency, and Cameron came to the rescue. My vehicle was a bit of a conundrum, as one lug on each of the front wheels is rounded, rather than beveled (as normal). He was able to plug the tire, and we made the 60 mile drive home safely. Can't thank him enough for being such a professional.
