Just prior to my husband's passing, he noticed a tire pressure warning light but he was unable to fix it or get to Fuerst for help. Today I drove our car for the first time since my husband died. I drove to Fuerst and with my cane hobbled to the front door to find that it was closed. As I got into my car to leave, Mike came out the front door to ask what kind of help I needed. I was in tears due to circumstances, apologized and explained. Mike offered condolences and even though they were closed, he told me to pull up and he would check my tires. Mike was so gracious, patient and kind. He properly inflated all 4 tires and said if the warning light returns to come back on Monday. As a family owned business, Fuerst Automotive continues to prove how much it values its customers and cares about the community. Mike is a prime example of that excellence. Once I gave Mike the information on the car, I began walking home knowing it would be at minimum an hour or so to fix the issue which according to initial diagnostics, appeared to be a bad starter motor. I was no more than half way home and my phone rings. My car was ready! How could that be? It turned to be a piece of plastic that should have been removed when the battery was installed .... 3 YEARS AGO! I should never have been able to drive the car with that piece of hard plastic on the positive terminal and I've been to mechanics who would have taken advantage of the situation. Not Mike! When I got there I didn't see my car in the parking lot or in the shop, so of course I'm gonna ask about it. When I asked where my car was the owner was extremely rude. Said he was another shop where the do tire rotations. How the hell am I supposed to know that. Then he said " I said I would call you when it's ready"! I don't mind waiting, and as soon as the car is done I'm heading off to work. the dude is just an asshole for no reason. Don't go here!
