I found these guys by accident / need. We have a MB Sprinter and they are the only shop in the area that services them. We've taking our sprinter in several times for service and each experience has been excellent. On the last service there was an item that needed to be handled by an MB dealer, so they worked with the regional MB dealership they have a relationship with, portered the sprinter down there, had everything taken care of and then back to us. It was so nice not having to deal with the MB dealer and get the sprinter down there ourselves!! read more

Called and told me my car was ready, and after I arrived and they had test driven the car, the problem was not resolved and another had developed. Consistently blamed problems on the car being old. Did refund part of my bill, but left with unresolved issue. Will not return. read more

We moved to Wisconsin a little over 6 years ago. I had a great shop in the state we move from to take my MK6 APR tuned GTI. I was eagerly searching for a trustworthy shop around this area. That's how I found Dell's Service Center. I had 57K miles on my baby when I first rolled in, and now I have 215K. They did pretty much all services to my car.I will never look for another shop that's for sure. Definitely worth the one hour trip, even if it's just an oil change. Professionalism would be an understatement when it comes to describe their ownership, and the way they handle certain situations. They made a few small mistakes (like we all do) but I never felt mistreated or cheated out of money. They stood tall in those situations and always fixed the issue without any additional charges. Some of the bills were bigger than the others, but that's just how it is. The way I feel about my car on the way home makes me truly forget how much I spent on it. She's my mistress you know:) Oh, and one more thing! EVERY TIME I call them to schedule a service they always give me an almost immediate appointment. I really love that. Anyhow, after a recent major service job I feel like my car is even more reliable than it was 165K miles ago. I went in because the running board on my truck had a bolt head rust off and I was unable to remove the other one myself, so I took it in and they removed the bolt head no problem so far. Forty five minutes later they tell me I need a new running board and they can do anything they charge me $70 some dollars. I go home and am able to get the bolt out that they broke the head of with one hit from a hammer, some new nuts and bolts that cost $2.00 and I was able to fix what they said couldn't be fixed. They literally had to do about 15 more minutes of work and they could have completed the repair but they were lazy and didn't want to do it, so make of that what you will, I should have refused to pay since they didn't fix anything. read more

I WOULD NOT recommend! I very rarely leave bad reviews... almost never. Establishments like this place are what gives all shops a bad name. I will start off by saying the people behind the counter were very nice and professional but so are con artists. I brought my car in for an alignment.. nothing else. What I left with was an "Inspection" and no alignment. They proceeded to give me the reasons why they couldn't align it while charging me $157 for an inspection that I did not need nor ask for. Only 1 of the 4 reasons given, were a reason not to do an alignment, the others were them trying to get me to pay for a lot of work unrelated to an alignment... and most of it was untruthful. The 1 actual reason that would have prevented them doing an alignment, was the exact reason I was bringing it in for the alignment... I replaced inner and outer tie rods. They told me they were bad and needed to be replaced. and sent me some shaky video as their "proof". I took the car home and checked them again in case they failed in the 3 DAYS I drove it after changing them. The tie rods were still perfect. I called up a small independent shop from my hometown and they got me in for an alignment... they were able to align it without issue. None of the issues Dells brought up were an issue and were complete lies... I knew this before I left their shop. They were trying to take me for many thousands of dollars. I own 13 Cars/trucks currently and the only time I bring them to shops are for alignments. Makes me want to open up a shop again and give people good honest service... I read all of the good reviews on here and wonder how many good people got ripped off and don't even know it. Dells is either crooked or incompetent... maybe both.. only they know the truth. My daughter's 06 Passat was not running. After a Google search, I called Dell's because they work on foreign cars and performance vehicles like Porsche, Audi and on VW. They addressed the situation immediately, diagnosed and fixed the issue at a reasonable cost. I would definitely recommend them from my experience! Fast, friendly service! read more

OVERCHARGES FOR EVERYTHING. DO NOT GO HERE. My car recently broke down, and they charged $100 just to figure out whats wrong with it and then another $440 to fix it when the parts are only $25 each AND i called other mechanics and it does NOT take 2 hours to replace them. I have complete faith in Dell's. I have so much faith in fact that although I relocated from De Pere to Madison two years ago I continue to have my vehicle serviced at Dell's. I'm sure there are fine resources in Madison but my view is "why take the chance?" I have utter confidence that at Dell's I will be greeted warmly and my vehicle will be maintained by competent, friendly technicians in a timely manner. Needed a repair on my Volvo right before the holidays, electronic issue so we could not drive the car. Took it to a local mechanic who was able to "temporarily" get it fixed to drive it the hour to Dells Service. We dropped the car off a few days before they had it scheduled to take a look at it....they not only looked at it right away and ordered the part but had my car fixed the day we were originally supposed to drop it off. Just in time for Christmas!! Customer Service is absolutely top notch. We have taken our Mercedes, Infiniti and now Volvo there for service. They know their business and we could not recommend them enough!! 5 stars from our family for sure. read more

I wanted to give them 5 stars because the service here is great, they don't try to sell me things I don't need and the the customer service is great. But, I have to give them three stars because I had to sit in the waiting area listening to what should be a private conversation between a Dell's employee and their boss. Instead I have to listen to some woman questioning her employee about his time card. Granted, from the conversation, she is totally right, but maybe have your conversation in a private area instead of subjecting your customers to it. read more

I own a European car and I will only take my car to Dells Service Center. They have the equipment and expertise not found anywhere else in northeast Wisconsin. They have built a reputation on servicing cars with the right amount of care with the right parts and knowledge. They will pursue the problem to the end. If you're looking for a $19.95 oil change, don't go to Dells. But if you believe in getting the job done right the first time and reducing your total cost of ownership when it comes to repairs and service, Dells will serve you well. read more

I brought my BMW to Dell's already knowing the issue. I knew the fix was pricey, so I wanted a "professional" opinion before I went ahead and spent $1000+. Turns out Dell's isn't a professional establishment. My DME (computer) was bad, and I told the advisor that I just wanted a diagnostic done, which basically all they needed to do was hook up my car to a computer to confirm the issue. Once they called back and quoted me $2300 (got it fixed for $1240 elsewhere) to fix I said I'd just like the car towed back to my house. A couple days after my vehicle was returned I popped the hood to find my air intake and charge pipe disconnected, just laying in the engine bay. I called the advisor who handled my service and asked why this was done when I only asked asked for a diagnostic. He lied to me, saying he was trying to save me money and I called him out on it. My engine should have never been touched. He then continued by telling me I ruined his day! I'm sorry sir, but I'm the one with a car returned back to me in a fashion other than it was given to you. This is an unacceptable practice by supposedly a professional business which is supposed to be BMW accredited. Please do not bring your vehicle to Dell's. You will save money and headaches by making the trip to Appleton BMW or by finding an experienced BMW mechanic who works out of his own garage. By the way, I still had to pay for them dismantling my car even though they weren't supposed to touch anything but the computer. read more

Too bad 0 stars isn't an option. After tonight's encounter, I feel they should be getting negative stars. After the axel/transmission/something broke on our car at a busy intersection, AAA notified us that Dell's would be on their way and assured us that there would be no problem with the fact that we didn't have our cards with us. (in fact, not having a card is an option on their call menu) After a wait,when the driver got there, he asked for our AAA card. When my husband told him that he did not have it but that AAA had said it would be no problem as long as he had ID, the driver rudely snapped at him "AAA doensn't make the rules! I make the rules!" My husband informed him that, in that case, we wouldn't be needing their service. (and added "Thank you, you're a good person!" as he stomped off) The driver sat in his truck until my husband got off the phone with AAA, then got out and asked, again with attitue, "So, do you want me to tow it or should I call the police and tell them you denied service?" I guess he was assuming my husband would feel he had no other options. My husband's response was "I do not want your service. You are rude and disrespectful. Please do not touch my vehicle." The driver stomped off and left. A few minutes later, we had a police car there. (which was actually good since we were in a vulnerable location) When my husband explained why he had denied service, the officer was shocked. When the replacement tow truck arrived (he was wonderfully helpful, by the way) he informed us that he gets a lot of calls from people insisting that they do not want to deal with Dell's. Hopefully, AAA will remove them from their provider list soon so that good companies who actually VALUE their customers can get more business. read more

I needed my Mini Cooper to get a check up before winter. Didn't want the inconvenience of going to the dealer in Appleton so googled shops in GB and this one came up. Called and got an appointment immediately. Due to work constraints I dropped the car off on a Sunday. They were able to run my mini through a bunch of diagnostic tests and found a leak in my power steering line. After every finding they called me and explained the finding, quoted me a price for parts and labor, and estimated repair time. They even fixed my windshield ding at a cheaper price than Auto Glass Specialists (10$ cheaper, but 10$ is 10$). After all my work was done, they offered to send a shuttle to pick me up, but in the end they were able to drop my car in my driveway. I paid my bill over the phone and was on my way. Thank you to Dell for taking care of me, especially Dan in service whom I had many conversations with but never met. You guys were awesome and I will recommend your business to everyone!! read more

I made an appointment last week and was told that they don't normally work on my vehicle because if it's age but they had a special mechanic that could check it out and give me their thoughts. This was because I had been a customer in the past abd just got a 10 percent off coupon. So today I brought my vehicle in. I was then told it would be awhile to look at it and someone would take me back to my apartment. A short time later the person came out again and said sorry we can't bring you back and in order to look at your vehicle and give diagnoses it will be $250. I said sorry that's not in my budget. The person man then said he'd pull up my vehicle and when he did a woman drove up in a vehicle and he said to her we won't be needing you to give her a ride she can't afford the diagnostics. Wow I'm still shocked. I am disabled and he saw I was using a walker. Had trouble getting it in my vehicle but he didn't even offer to help me. Please take me off your marketing list because I will never be going back to Dell's, not fir service, not fir a new vehicle. Thanks Dell's Service Center. May be because my vehicle was a Ford not a foreign vehicle but you knew that when I made the appointment. Very disappointed as I struggled to get there and struggled to keave! read more

I can't begin to say enough great things about DJ and the staff at Dell's. They did an engine replacement on my Land Rover. They were in constant communication about any parts that may need replacing and gave prompt responses to my question. DJ even count an error on my invoice before I paid the bill. Informative and professional, just wish it wasn't the wrong information. Brought my car there for tire balancing and in the end they wanted to do roughly $1,500 of total work. To my dismay, I told them to put everything back together and I would take it back to the dealership. Then when I picked the car up they charged me $80 when no work was done, their reply was," well we had to put the rims and rotors back on." So I brought the car to my normal mechanic to find nothing but some weathered tires and due to not rotating my tires frequently some vibration in the steering wheel... No need for major repairs! With my son at UWGB driving an import that decided to stop running, we called Dell's because of their website ( and Internet advertising ). They work with a towing company that was very prompt; less than 30 minutes. I was called before the end of the day regarding the diagnostics, and the repair itself was done promptly the next morning. And, the bill wasn't too high ( what auto repair bill is ever " cheap" ?). Overall I'm very satisfied with Dell's and would return without hesitation. read more

I have taken several of my cars here for repairs. They always are honest with me about what needs to be done and the cost. They are prompt with returning an estimate and can say if the car is worth fixing on older vehicles. Always prompt with service and do a great job. This time I had tire sensors which were not working replaced. When it came to reprogramming the sensors, the key fob I had would not work as it should due to some internal damage. The key fob had been not working properly for awhile. They waited for another fob to be delivered and they programmed the sensors. The mechanic also figured out what was wrong with the faulty key fob which is great, I never expected that! All it needs was a handy computer tech to re-solder a tiny part in it. Thought I would have to buy a new one. At times I think they are slightly more expensive than other places, but the service out weighs what I might save at a place that maybe isn't so reliable. This was one of the worst service centers I'v ever been to! First of all, the guy was very wishy washy and would not let me know the estimate on the diagnosticsuntil he had the mechanic look into it. OBDII Diagnostics have a pretty standard rate! I had tried to get an idea on the diagnostics, but he tried to reassure me that it would be built into the repair and virtually free. After finally finding out how much the cost would be, I double checked with another dealership to compare the repair. They were $160 more than Bergstrom (a dealership)! I refused the repair and they charged me almost $300 for the diagnostics!!!!!!! For a service center not to give a general estimate on the diagnostics or even the general repair (they have a guide in their computer system). I would have to say it was very misleading and dishonest!!!! I have had the same diagnostics run at Zimbrick and they only charged a flat rate of $110(which they were upfront about it). Furthermore, the invoice from Dells did not include the amount of labor hours, just the overall charge(which seemed very high considering how long i was there) This claim is going to the BBB! Don't waste your time here unless you have extra cash you want to burn! read more
