I went to Cox auto service about a quarter mile away. Was approached immediately by a technician before I could even put the brakes on and 15 minutes and 67 dollars later I was back on the road.

Everyone i spoke to there was very nice and thoroughly listened to me, while also providing me information on what needed to be done. They quoted me a price and that was what I paid, they didn't try to get me to do anything more. On my first visit they also noticed a nail in my tire and put some air in it as it was extremely low and i didn't realize. Thankfully a discount tire is just down the street. If you need to drop your car off they also have a great shopping plaza nearby to kill some time while you wait. If you are looking for a new shop, id recommend giving them a try. Check out san diego county sheriff incident report E10035329 on 7/3/25. His pricing placard says trucks 1990 to 1999 $69. The bill $98.85. When confronted he exclaims he needs to pay for his machine. Even tells me his monthly payment of $700. When i disagreed regarding the difference he told me to get the F*&^ out or he would call the police while brandishing the bat and feigning a swing at me. I called the police. They affirmed he held a baseball bat and threatened me to leave. Because he did not actually swing at me they would not arrest him. I was empty handed the entire time. If you go there know you will not pay the price posted and he will not tolerate a discussion as to why the inconsistency and he may pull out the bat.
