Had a couple windows tinted here last week and although the atmosphere at the front counter was annoying I found Glen to be a straight-shooter and decided I would take my wife's car here to have a new stereo installed. We made an appointment for Saturday at 10am and when we walked in Glen was available to show my wife her choices and she made a selection and we asked them to proceed with the installation. They installed the stereo and then informed us that the right speaker was blown and would need to be replaced. We picked out a new pair of speakers and they installed them as well. After a couple more hours I figured they had to be about done so I paid for the system and left. Soon after my wife returned home with her new stereo system which was about 3pm so a 5 hour installation. She asked me to go out and listen to it with her but we found only the drivers side speaker was actually working. How does a car audio place let a customer drive home with 1 of 2 speakers working? I call and Glen says to come back down anytime so I told him I would be right down. I sat in the waiting area and was told that the factory installed amplifier was causing the issue and they had to bypass it by wiring around it. I sat there until after 5:30pm before a tech walked into the waiting room and said "you have the mustang?" and handed me the keys. No explanation, for why it took another 2 hours to wire one speaker, nothing. I had been involved with this installation since 10am in the morning and it is now 5:30 at night. I just took the keys and left. On Monday after work I stopped in and spoke to Glen about my experience. He explained that the right speaker really was blown before they told me that we needed new speakers. It seemed coincidental to me that the right speaker was blown but then they had to wire around the amplifier to make the brand new right speaker work. I would not contest the speakers condition as the system was not working when we brought it in. However, the experience was unpleasant at best and it cost me an entire Saturday to get a stereo and 2 speakers installed by his professional. technicians. I expected them to offer a bit of a discount on the 2 speakers such as refunding the labor charge to install them. I was told that the extra work to make that speaker function was typically an $80 dollar job so no refund was offered. Another annoyance was repeated when you arrive at the business. Glen is at the front counter along with another guy who does not greet customer's. So, if Glen is working with a customer when you arrive you may stand there with no one saying anything to you for 10 minutes even though there is a guy sitting right at the counter looking at a computer screen. In my opinion customers should not be ignored for such long periods of time with this guy sitting there. The appearance it gives is that he is working on something more important than the customer standing in front of him. It is not appropriate for any business and my suggestion to the owner would be to have this guy sit someplace else if he is not going to speak to customers. (I'm not so sure this guy isn't the owner). Glen is the only thing this business has going for it and he is the only reason I thought they would be the right choice. My thoughts were that they had to be a good business since they have been in that location for so many years but now I realize they probably just have a high traffic location and get enough 1 time business. Seven hours to install a stereo and 2 front speakers? I would simply say that there has got to be a better choice out there. I would not return. read more

The mark-up on speakers is ridiculous. Speakers for your car are NOT reasonable. The invoice says $119.00 as the sale price (for $40 speakers on Amazon). The "misc" total is $123.76 (?) which the tax is then added in bringing the total to $130 plus change. I also had my side windows tinted previously. I had questions on that regarding polarization and what I call the "rainbow effect". Individual also claimed not to know about the polarization effect when wearing polarized sunglasses. That is just BS. If you know anything about light and polarization, there will be an effect when looking through polarized glasses and polarized tinting. Even the clear tinting he will try to sell you on for your windshield. Take it outside, look through it and look at other cars windshields in the sunlight with your sunglasses on. If you see a rainbow of colors on the windshields, run away. I don't mind it on my side windows, but on my windshield, absolutely not. The view through my side windows on the bridge over the water are a rainbow of color (with my sunglasses). A polarization effect which I actually like. The individual running this business should probably know more about optics if they're selling tinting which involves polarization. He's lying if he says there's no problem with it and hasn't had any complaints. Either that, or people need to buy better sunglasses. He's playing an idiot, and I'm not buying it. Neither should you. My husband and I went in here hoping to purchase some hardware for our marine speaker system The sale associate said they do not deal in marine stuff much and because we did not by our speakers from them he was not interested in helping us. This was disappointing, we live 1 mile from this place and believe in supporting locals...we went to West Marine in Fort Myers, top notch customer service there. read more
