I recently had the privilege of doing business with Dan,owner of DBGain. Dan installed an aftermarket stereo I had purchased from Amazon. Danny got me right in and tore into my Bronco to see why I only had certain channels working in my Bronco I bought used. Once we realized the previous owner had someone install a Helix and didn't wire it right, he didn't just send me to the authorized installer for Helix in the area, he called the shop first, explained what was going on and asked if I came down there they could get me in. They did and I now have an appointment to get my truck rewired correctly. This is great service. Even though he couldn't fix my issue that day, he did drill down the issues and handed me off to someone who could. Danny is an audio professional, not just another installer from a big box store. Sound advice (pun intended), as we purchased a 22' tritoon boat with a factory installed radio and 2 speakers. I would call it, builders grade minimum. Everything Danny advised me to look out for was there. Small gauge wiring, not tinned (can you say corrosion), brand name speakers, but at the bottom of the $$ list. We are in the midst of installing a Rockford Fosgate tuner with 4 upgrade Kicker speakers. More to follow. I purchased a used class A motorhome with a inoperative radio. I talked to Danny who gave me some free advise to try and get the radio to work. Unfortunately the radio was not repairable. Danny ordered me a new radio and was able to install it for me a couple days later. The age of the motorhome was in the back of his mind so he asked if he could open up the old speakers and have a look before turning the radio on. Inspection revealed the speakers would work but we're falling apart and new ones would make the radio sound much better. He did not push me to buy speakers from him but did have some that I purchased. I am very impressed with Danny and DB gain. I think you get a fair deal and have and will recommend DB gain. read more

I needed to retrieve the aux input in my wife's car. It "disappeared" into the bowels of her center console, falling through a rectangular opening in which the rectangular box housing the aux input sat. Now it was somewhere in the bowels of the console. Dan was able to easily retrieve it at a fair price and explain to me the problem with the tiny bracket holding it. I just bought a 2012 BMW 128i and the driver's door speakers were not working. Had spoken to Dan after finding him at this sight, and he advised me to have BMW do a diagnostic, as he didn't want to waste my money with a search of the problem. Did as he suggested, and drove straight to his shop, he looked at the report, and he showed me how I could replace both front speakers with high end components for less than the dealer would have done for just one mediocre speaker. All I can say is WOW. Far exceeded my expectations. I took my system in that I had installed myself. I knew my sub was probably blown and possibly my amp, cuz I was blowing fuses. Danny said "pull it up and let me take a look." Long story short. Sub WAS blown but amp was ok(bad wiring from myself). Danny spent 2 hours troubleshooting. Did not push to sell anything, but I chose to purchase a sub anyway. Next day Danny called, went to shop, installed the sub, and found another issue with output converter. System was working good enough for me, but Danny said "NO, theres something not right". Another hour and a half and the system sounds incredible. (He could have just sent me in my way, he was already paid) If your looking for a shop that has HONESTY and INTEGRITY, and is willing to take the time to make sure things are right and also explain and educate you on the functions of your equipment, this IS THE PLACE TO GO.
