VERYdisappointed with the integrity of the company. Being a family owned business should hold honesty and customer satisfaction as the highest qualities. This was so disturbing. Our vehicle is old and we asked the technician to fix just the absolute minimum to make the vehicle safe to drive. We were quoted 500.00 dollars. So when we picked it up the bill was double. We were never asked to approve the "additional " charges. Do you think this was right? My car had a ball joint come apart right in front of Auto Tech. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were very helpful in getting the car off the street and checking the damage.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was an older car and we decided to junk it rather than put more money into it. Auto Tech pointed out many areas and parts under the car that were very rusted and worn and needed replacement. They were very professional in their assessment of the cars safety and what it would require. I would highly recommend them for auto repair. The car was 23 years old with 196,000 miles. read more

I took my vehicle in to get my tires changed, they ordered the wrong tires and I had to wait all afternoon not a big deal. I stopped by in the afternoon. They still hadn't done it and I said I will take it home and bring it back. I was assured it'd be no problem. They will get to it before closing at 4 o'clock on a Saturday. At 4:30 I got a phone call from the service manager Josh stating that my car was ready. I go and pick it up, [[HIGHLIGHT]]I thank them for staying open late and getting to my car.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I get home and I go to show my tires to my wife and realize that all my rims have been scratched due to the negligence of the mechanic they have. I bring it back to them and explain my problem and they're response was it's the manufacturers problem not mine. They want to charge me $170 to fix their mistake. there was no work order for my car stating there was any scratches on my rims. this is the worst place to ever go. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. I should've known I've had the worst experience at the one in Woodstock that is owned by the same owner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Do not go to these people if you value good customer service and your car.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They are the absolute worst. I'd rather go to the junkyard and have them change my tires and go to this place. I had a brake job done a few months ago, but they grabbed when in reverse and the truck had front end noise. I thought it would go away and did not go back until a couple months after the work. They inspected the front end and found that the wheel bearings had not been assembled properly. The great news is there was no shame or blame. Josh and John said drop off the truck and they would fix it no charge. Got the truck back and it is as good as new. Integrity and honesty seem to be the way they do business here. My mom had gotten a set of new tires here a few years ago. 6 months or so in, the tires started rotting. She went back and was given a hard time about it: and even though record of the tire purchase was in their computer, she was told she would have to produce a receipt. So she and I had to go home and locate it. We DID find it, and they begrudgingly replaced the rotting tires. We vowed to never go back. So here I sit in their shop, having a few new tires mounted + balanced. Why? Quite honestly they're the only tire center (aside from NTB) carrying 14" tires. I have 2 14" that are spakin' new and I don't want them to go to waste, and the tires my mom's driving on are waaaay past their prime. When I called to ask about their 14" inventory I was on hold for almost 15 minutes. However, the guy was apologetic and super nice. When I arrived I did explain my reservations about coming back to their shop, briefed him about that situation, and inquired about warranties on their tires. I was assured that there are manufacturer's warranties in place and that our initial experience wouldn't happen again. He also hasn't acted as if my requests are too weird (I arrived on bad 15" tires and came with 2 "good" 14" mounted tires + 2 "bad" 14" tires that need replacement...AND I want the bad 15s dismounted, but I also am taking the steelies with me). My ETA for the above is 1.5 hours, which seems reasonable. Looking forward to finding out if they were worthy of a second chance. Note: They finished in an hour (total: $178 [$124 for tires, $20 for labor, etc...]) AND they kindly put my dirty 15" steelies in a plastic bag so they didn't muss up the upholstery in the front passenger seat. Honestly, the best place to go in town for an oil change! The people are THE FRIENDLIEST! They take their time which I don't mind because they check your car and let you know if it has any problems! Not to mention, when I was in the waiting room with my daughter, the man working (Mark, I think his name is?) walked to the TV and changed the channel from a baseball game to a Disney channel for my daughter!! Once they sell you something you're on your own... I returned after the previous tires purchased there had prematurely warn out way before their 65,000 mile warranty. Other tire businesses always honor these warranties by looking at the wear and the mileage and giving a prorated discount off of the new tires. This business instead demanded to see "Proof of Rotation Schedule" and claimed they can not honor any warranties without it. I drove extra distance to get to "Discount Tires" for my new set of tires and asked them if they ever ask for such a thing. They said no, they just prorate a discount based on miles and wear as I remember them always doing in the past. Stay away from Auto Tech. I recommend Discount Tires or Walmart. Called to get pricing on shocks, alignment and oil change. Set up appointment and went in to Auto Tech. I was told the paperwork was missing, the counter person decided to make coffee before helping me. Then I was standing there to be told I have to wait while another customer who came in after me, was helped first and I was told I would have to wait. I then left and took my business to Firestone. I was going to spend approximately $800.00 at their shop. I would avoid this place like the plague. If they treat someone this bad when they are spending this much money there, I can only imagine how they treat others spending less. read more
