Quoted 645 for 4 plugs and 4 coils. Then 245 for 4 plugs and 1 coil to save money. We paid the 245 and they did 1 coil and zero plugs!! Then denied ever saying the word spark plug. Wow. Lost a customer for life over 10.81 cent spark plugs. We're glad they were fine but we still paid the original quoted price that included 4 plugs. Not honest. KEY FOBS... Our BMW new Key Fob to replace cost $450 (suggest BMW dealer) and if I'd taken it to Jose instead of trying to replace the battery watching a YouTube video I could have avoided damaging the one I had. This is the best experience I've ever had with a mechanic/shop. Jose and Miguel are great at what they do. I brought my truck to them for sway bar issues and they let me bring in my own aftermarket parts. The price was very affordable for them to do an install and they did a great job. After that, I brought them my girlfriend's car which was smoking from the engine bay and had other issues as well. We weren't sure if we wanted to put anymore money into the car or just get a new one. After explaining this, Jose said he'd look everything over and come up with an estimate before doing any work. He contacted us after only a couple days and gave us a quote that was well under the mark we set. The car was finished the very next day and he even found a few more ways to save us money while still doing quality work. We wound up paying even less than his original quote. If that wasn't enough, my latest experience with them was the best so far. I need brake work done, but I was looking for more than OEM parts. I wanted high quality, aftermarket parts since my driving style is very hard on the lesser quality OEM pads and rotors. I asked Jose to do some searching to see what he could find and told him I'd be searching the internet as well. He got back to me later that day and told me that there were too many options for him to make a choice. He wanted me to come in and look over the choices with him. I told him I found exactly what I wanted online and would order the parts. We setup an appointment for the very next day once the parts arrived. Once the job was completed, he told me about all the rust they had to deal with and highly recommended that I replace my calipers the next time I had my brakes done, if not sooner. I told him I was going home to order the calipers that night. I found some aftermarket calipers that matched the components already installed, and red to match my car. They were delivered yesterday, the truck was dropped off this morning, and the job was finished by 2pm. I just picked up the truvk and chatted with Jose a little about the work done. He then handed me my keys. I was taken aback and asked about payment for the work. He told me there was no charge for the labor and that I had paid him enough the first time they worked on the brakes. ASTOUNDING!!! I've never encountered anything like that before working with mechanics. I know this was a long review, but I want everyone to know how good these guys are. Pay it forward, as they say. If your looking for a mechanic to trust and come back to, this is it. I live right down the road from them, but I'd travel from across the bay if I had to do so. There were a couple of small issues that could wait and I could come back at another time to take care of them. Seven years ago, on a rainy day, I pulled into Auto Tech, Clearwater, because my windshield wipers had not been put on correctly. Jose fixed my wipers and would not let me pay him. I instantly became a loyal customer. Because so many people asked him to get their cars ready so they could evacuate for hurricane Ian, he and his staff worked up until the hurricane and then they sheltered in the business building because they did not have time to evacuate for themselves.
