We stopped by to pick up an order placed by my husband three days ago. A little disappointed for the confusion happened with the ordered item. We thought we were picking up the mount frame with mirror and not just the mirror only. The associate who assisted us was quick and efficient. My car is having battery issues and I just wanted to get it tested, right? That's a free service at Autozone. After dropping off someone at work I got here a little too early and waited in the lot. Autozone is supposed to open at 7:30 and someone did go into the store around that time. However, it was not opened until around a half hour later. In addition the lock on their entrance door was jammed or broken so you couldn't open it and had to go through the exit, and the exit doesn't have a handle on the outside so it was a bit difficult to get in. A little bit after 8 I followed a second employee into the store and asked if someone is available to check my battery. They told me the guy was running late. I wandered the store for the hour just looking at things and wasting time on my phone again. The other two employees didn't even ask or update me with where the guy was and if it would be soon. It wasn't until 9 am that the guy showed up. So he was either an hour or an hour and a half late for his shift. He walked in carrying breakfast and disappeared in the back for around 10 minutes. Then he walked back up to the store he helped some other guy that just walked in. Man, I must've had the patience of a saint to be there for so long. After helping the other guy first he then follows me outside to my car where he connects the battery tester. Unfortunately my battery is in worse shape then first thought and he can't even get a reading. We can't find the warranty on it so I have to drive away with my faulty battery because he couldn't give me/sell me a new one to replace it with. But seriously, who is an hour/hour and a half late for work?! You evidently had all the time in the world to pick up breakfast though... read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS IF YOU NEED BATTERY SERVICE First here is some background: I bought a battery from my local auto zone in New Jersey 3 months ago. In the last two days I got the battery jumped twice because it wasn't charging properly. I did battery testing on it twice. So I walk in this autozone after being stranded over night on Long Island and the gentlemen working there comes out, pops my hood and claims his battery tester isn't working. He then says would you like for me to just swap out the battery? Yes I say. Then he comes back with a co-worker named Junior and says he can't. And that I should go to another store because they are short staffed. Mind you, it was just the three of us in the store and it had been the whole time I was there. My guess is that neither Junior or the other guy working there knew how to change a battery and just made up an excuse. They didn't even want to call another store to see if they had enough staff to do it. I wouldn't take my car here. If you need to buy a product...ok. Auto Zone in Elmont always has the parts I need. The workers are professional, courteous & knowledable. One gentlemen inparticular stands out among the rest. His name is Chris. He's a big, burly young man that really knows his stuff. As a matter of fact, if I was a woman I'd take him out for blueberry muffins & make sure there is an EQUAL amount of blueberries in each muffin & would not care how long it is going to take. So much so that they fall apart when eating them because of the overabundance of berries. Highly recommended! read more

I really hate coming to this store. There is always a line and they seem to put anyone calling on the phone before the actual customers in the store. It's really annoying. I asked the woman who works in the store to help me find a product. When she checked the system they said the product was in stock, but after looking she said they did not have it to check back later. I left and something told me to walk back in and check again and it was RIGHT WHERE SHE WAS LOOKING. This lady is completely clueless and knows nothing about cars. I don't understand why she works here. I got on the line and that was another unnecessary wait. There were only 2 workers in the store at the time. Then out of nowhere 2 more people appeared from behind the register. Why are all of these people working yet there is a long line in the store? I will never come back here. These are the rudest people in the world! I came in for a return and the woman at the register told me their systems were down for returns which was a LIE! I said I'd wait while they try and fix it, I was given such an attitude so anyways she tells me to go to another register and he had told me they don't carry the item I was returning.. WHEN I BOUGHT IT FROM THIS STORE! he asked me why I'm returning the transmission fluid and I told him it was the wrong kind I was sold and that I now have the car in a shop and won't be needing it anymore.. He then YELLS at me "don't complain to me, I don't want to hear it" I was so confused, I was just explaining why I didn't need it since he had asked me.. He then the refunds me.. Without fixing anything by the way! And as I'm walking out the RUDE woman told him "why did you return it for her.. Now we're gonna have to send it back to the company" ! I've never been treated so rudely in my life.. Anyways I DO NOT recommend this autozone! this is the closest AZ near me so I have been there many times. I have had battery problems and they have charged it w/o much of a problem. I have had to use their tools and again they lent me the necessary tools,, Another time(s) I couldn't find the parts on the aisle and they went with me to locate and answer the questions. There have been times when they were busy and the wait was kind of long but also understandable. Exchanging or returning parts (even after use- such as a roof carry bag that deteriorated) between stores has never been a problem. The one time that was a problem recently was that the employees didn't know sthg was on sale and I was being charged full price. Luckily I discovered it on the circular, I saved about $8.00 so it was a great sale on about $34 item. They should know their sales for the wk. Overall the sale items are good so look out for them.
