TLDR; HIGHLY recommend this shop for your auto repairs! I initially had sent out a project request to multiple local auto shops on Yelp to see if anyone was willing to repair my car with my own parts that I had bought. Many mechanics won't due to liability (and because they won't make more money off of using parts that you provide). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Autobahn Imports Service was the first one to quickly respond back to me and yes, they do offer repairs with parts you bring in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But obviously, there won't be warranty on them. After receiving multiple quotes, Autobahn was the most competitive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm always hesitant to bring my car to an auto shop because it's more often than not that women get treated differently and mechanics will try to upsell you or tell you to fix things that don't need to be fixed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Mind you, I've had a diagnosis report conducted *last year* from a different auto shop, in which they listed all these things that needed to be fixed. I don't know everything about cars but I know just enough to know I didn't actually need all of those repairs aside from a couple I was already aware of that would need to be addressed in due time. When Autobahn provided me with my report, my initial thoughts were confirmed in that 80% of those "issues" weren't even a problem. Anyway, I came with my own replacement shocks, struts, and accessories. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Jimil was very communicative discussed the issues with my car.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Turns out, my front struts were the wrong model (thanks, AutoZone) while my back shocks fit perfectly. Another issue I had was my starter was not functioning correctly (which I was aware of) so he quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed that up too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Jimil let me decide whether I wanted to wait until new front shocks came into his shop the next day or if I wanted to take the car home that day and come back another time to replace them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We discussed pricing for both scenarios and he was very honest. I ended up leaving my car with him overnight and got it all fixed up the next day. He and his team neatly put all of the parts I provided that he couldn't use back in my car prior to my arrival. Everything was quick and seamless. I could 100% feel the difference in how my car was running when I drove off. And it's also important to note that [[HIGHLIGHT]]Jimil was attentive to my concerns and he gave me absolutely zero pressure to do anything with my car that I didn't want to.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can't recommend this shop enough! They diagnosed my vehicle, was transparent with the details, and fixed up my vehicle all within a day. They even drove my vehicle back home when I was working! The experience was great as the shop worked with my overall schedule. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Jimi and his team at Autobahn are the best of the best.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had an issue with the transmission in my son's highly specialized Audi. We initially took it to another recommended shop in the area that misdiagnosed our issue initially and charged us a couple thousand $ to make a repair that truly didn't need to be done. After not fixing our issue, that shop came back suggesting our only option was to replace the entire transmission with a completely new one direct from Audi for $16k. At that point I found Jimi at Autobahn. We took the car from the other shop and brought the car to Jimi. He quickly dug in and determined we did need a new transmission but worked tirelessly to find us a used one with a warranty for many thousands less. This was a big job and [[HIGHLIGHT]]Jimi kept us updated through the entire process.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will undoubtedly use Jimi and Autobahn going forward.
