Autohaus AZ used to be a decent business. Not any longer. I ordered a part that in the end I did not need. I paid for their return protection, which claims to cover return shipping charges. That is a lie. Upon entering the return their website wants to charge me an exorbitant shipping fee -or- I can pay for shipping it myself. That is DISHONEST!!! I would end up only getting $90 back on a $160 item. There is also no longer a customer service number to call. You have to log a ticket. They promise to call you back in 24 hours but never will. I ordered the part, I even paid extra for the shipping protection, the part shipped a couple days later, shows it was delivered, it wasn't and then shows two days later that they received the return and refunded the purchase price, but they kept $30. Scam scam scam. If you find a phone number, you aren't able to talk to anyone, strictly online submission and you won't get a call back and they won't respond to your inquiries. Horrible Customer Service. I've shopped at AutohausAZ for many years and hadn't had a problem before (other than some slow shipping). But my last purchase of a VDO Window Regulator for my BMW will keep me from ever going back. I chose the VDO part, despite it costing nearly 4 times the one AutohausAZ was pushing because VDO is a quality German engineered brand recommended by professionals. First of all, I don't think what I was sent was actually the VDO part, more on that later, but I would have assumed that was just a warehouse mistake if it hadn't been for the way Customer Service handled it. After opening up my car door I discovered that the new regulator didn't want to fit. When I compared it to the one that came out it was close in size but not identical. It had no VDO branding on it, nor did it have the VDO or BMW part numbers. It just had some random 3 digit numbers on different parts. Compared to the VDO in the pictures it was unpainted sheet metal while the VDO was painted black (as was my old unit) and the edges were very rough and sharp - so sharp they had cut my hands. My old unit had perfectly smooth edges. Thinking I had been sent the wrong part, I emailed AutohausAZ. The auto response I got said they usually respond in 24-48 hours. 48 hours is a long time when your car is torn apart, but I waited patiently thinking they would help me. 48 hours went by and there was no response, so I tried to call - but you can't call them, you have to request that they call you! So I got on chat where finally I reached "Abraham". He wanted a wide picture of the unit, which is pretty useless since all BMW (and third party copy) front window regulators look pretty much the same, it's the details that matter. But I obliged him with that and the last 7 of my VIN (which they already had a long with a detailed description of the problem and the fact that I had compared it to the one that came out and they weren't the same). Abraham then told me it looked like the one in their stock photo (even though that one was black) and that I could return it through their web site if it was in perfect condition and I had all the packaging --- and then he disconnected me! I emailed Customer Service immediately asking for a Manager to call me. I never got a response. I didn't want to keep the car in disrepair any longer so I forced the Regulator in by bending it a little. It works, but it groans, clearly not correct and not what I would expect from VDO. I am now convinced it was not the VDO part but some cheap Knockoff. If they would have helped me determine that I was shipped the wrong part I would have been happy to accept the right part. But you can't do business with internet stores that won't communicate or help. Doesn't matter how good the price is. I paid $90 for a $22 item that I could have bought on Amazon with free shipping and at least easily returned. read more

Poor follow up . I've ordered from here before and delivery was fine. They have good parts at competitive prices. But this time my order has been handled poorly. I got a message saying fedex has my package with the tracking number, but when I check with fed ex it says 'label created '- which means its not picked up yet and Its been a few days... when I try reaching out to the seller there is no phone number on their site and the email or chat guys have no clue and don't respond beyond ' its been shipped with tracking number". So this makes me now wonder if this is a reliable source specially when one need parts on time. They have been a long time in business , but no phone number? BUYER BEWARE!!! My boyfriend is currently involved in an ongoing dispute with this company. He initially purchased two fuel pumps from them, only to have the order cancelled due to "fraudulent activity." We don't think much of this, but later come to find out that the order wasn't cancelled, as we were charged THREE TIMES for the same order. My boyfriend reached out to them only to have them remove the charges, and a few days later charged AGAIN (x3). So now we are looking at three charges that we are liable for, and of course no fuel pump or refund. We've tried to call them it they don't have a phone number on the site, and they don't answer emails or respond. These guys are running some sort of scam it seems.
