My reviews are tough especially any kind of repair services but I had a really great experience here. I had been here 20+ years ago, when it was under different management/name, and had some issues so I was reluctant to go back. I decided to come in and got an estimate of a specific repair I wanted done. The price was reasonable and we agreed I would bring it in the following Mon morning. All of this was verbal so when I got there early Mon morning, I didn't know what to expect. To my delight they were expecting me and the price was what I was quoted. They took my car right in. Only a few hours later they called and it was ready. When I got there to my total SHOCK AND AWE they came in under the estimate! I was told it took less time than estimated and they billed me for the actual time spent. WOW! I would have had no way of knowing that and they could have charged me the estimated price but they were honest and had integrity. WOW!! After a visual inspection and a few long drives, everything looks/works fine. I've already referred two other people here and will definitely be back. I hope they can maintain this level of service, integrity, and honesty. The only negative was getting an Uber out of there in the morning. That took me over an hour! read more

I have a 2015 Mercedes that I had taken in to Mercedes Benz of Walnut Creek because the check engine light went on. I have a diesel vehicle, and the required repair was the replacement of the AdBlue temperature and fill sensor. My car went out of the standard warranty in March so I was told this wasn't covered and the estimate to do the repair from Mercedes Benz was $2,400. I called Autohaus for a competitive bid for the work based on their Yelp reviews. I'm so glad I did. I spoke to Jeremy and after explaining the scope of the work I needed, he suggested I double check my warranty documents because this is part of the emissions system which came with a longer warranty (7 years/70k miles). I went to my warranty manual and looked up the special emissions coverage and he was right, and the part that needed to have replaced was listed as being covered. I called Mercedes Benz back and told them I think this should be covered as part of that warranty and low and behold they agreed! So Jeremy, whom I've never met, saved me $2,400 and has a new advocate. If you are in the area and need European car service or repair work done. Jeremy and his team are fantastic! I had a light appear on my dashboard and I wanted to get it checked out, but I also needed to do this while juggling my very energetic toddler and newborn. When I drove up, Jeremy came right out so I didn't even need to unbuckle my kids. My toddler was very curious about what was going on, and Jeremy talked to him as he watched the car, so my toddler got to be a part of the inspection too. Jeremy figured out the issue and told me he would call me when the part came in. After diagnosis, they found out the part that broke was still under Manufacturer warranty and the dealer could replace it with no charge. So the car was transported to the dealer. Just got my Car back From Autohaus Moraga, and had a great experience, Jeremy checked me in, we talked over the possible problems, and he was very knowledgeable of my Audi and what might be the problem. ( i had a mystery oil leak for a long time) and they got my car all sorted, and back within a day! I was expecting a few days at best. Very awesome service, and very reasonable prices. Also they took care me with some small hoses that were about to go, and saved me from a possible breakdown, and or lost time to deal with. That right there is worth so much to me.. Don't bother reading anything before 2015, as there was the best ownership change possible. Xiao is absolutely the best business owner, let alone technician, that I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. My father and always bring our cars here for everything from basic maintenance to performance modifications. He is unbelievably knowledgeable, kind and trustworthy. When I installed coilovers on my BMW M3 he offered to take a look at my installation to make sure everything looked right and offered advice and assistance throughout the whole process. He's the only tech my father will trust with his ($130,000+)Porsche 911 4S because Xiao is the whole reason he ended up buying one. I have tons and tons of stories of how he's had to help us out in a pinch or go above and beyond to get something done but I think you get the idea. Daughters BMW 428i had some transmission issues. Took it to AUTOHAUS based on reviews and was not disappointed. Jeremy found out that it was a rodent that chewed up the wires to the sensor and he replaced it with a fair price. Also did the rear brakes and rotors with no issues. Will be bringing the car back for general maintenance. Hard to find a reputable mechanic, especially if you don't live in the area, but I'm confident I found my guy. Thanks again Jeremy! The team at Autohaus are very different (in a good way) from what you would normally expect from an auto repair shop. 1) They're accommodating - for a fluid leak they got me in for service in one day. Other places will probably book you out a week or more. 2) They seem to be engineers - they know what they're doing and they seem to be most interested in doing the work the right way. Other places seem to just follow a repair script. 3) They're honest - after my fluid leak repair was complete I got a check engine light that was new. When I called Autohaus they said it was very possible that the sensor failure was caused during the repair of the fluid leak. They would replace the sensor with no charge for parts or labor (all genuine manufacturer parts). I'm almost certain that other shops would treat this as a new issue or only give a discount. I'm not sure how they compare on price but I know I won't be shopping around for the next repair I need. I'm going to Autohaus. read more

I was selling a car and wanted it to be in good condition (kharma, don't you know!) After Xiao worked on it - car sold in great shape with a happy buyer and a contented seller. It was an old Acura. I could tell from the variety of cars at his shop that Xiao's talents (and his team's) are extensive!! Very thrilled that I now can take my 1997 Jaguar XK8 confidently to Autohaus Moraga.
