My last oil change, there was so much oil spilled that my car was smoking and stinking up for a WEEK until it finally all burned off. I had to take a business trip the next day with clients and the fumes and smoke were so awful - must have drove about 200 miles and it still wasn't done burning off.... The worst part is that I called back the second time they spilled oil and they said there's not much they can do, that it's common for oil to spill (heard of a funnel???), and it would just burn off over time. I don't find this acceptable, having to breathe the fumes for a week is terrible and it's just sloppy work.

After driving home I heard something dragging and it was the shield by the oil filter. I brought it back, they said they must not have snapped it in all the way. I was understanding. They then used zip ties to put it back on. An hour later on another drive the shield was dragging again. I don't understand what was difficult about assuring the parts were back on correctly the first time but certainly no valid explanation for it to happen a second time the same day. Before okaying the work, I asked Tony what was being done. Tony touched a censor, leaving his fingerprint on it, it had obviously never been touched before as left a big smudge. After work was finished the car was just as messed up. Took a look under the hood, the same smudged fingerprint was on it, obviously an old, and same piece. Told me sorry, he'll fix it, days later I'm told the car had rod knock and would soon be useless. He contested the visa reversal and won, even with a letter from Subaru stating none of the work was done. Fuck Tony and the horse he rode in on.
