He yelled out the door , "you're not a customer you haven't even been here" you serious ?!? i am LITERALLY here right now , i had an appointment SINCE LAST WEEK !!! scheduled for the AM at OPEN !! i am a customer ! i will never go to zigis again !! first encounter and last !! After driving home I heard something dragging and it was the shield by the oil filter. I brought it back, they said they must not have snapped it in all the way. I was understanding. They then used zip ties to put it back on. An hour later on another drive the shield was dragging again. I don't understand what was difficult about assuring the parts were back on correctly the first time but certainly no valid explanation for it to happen a second time the same day. My daughter found Absolute Automotive in Coal City. I needed a brake job. Jim, the owner, did a fantastic job and charged a fair price. I recently experienced the dreaded "Check Engine" light phenomenon and took my car to Absolute. The diagnostics were inconclusive. Jim conducted a couple of weeks of research into finding the cause of the phantom light. In the end, he replaced the intake manifold gasket and mass air flow sensor. Again, the cost was more than fair. My car, which has 165,000 miles on it is running like its brand new. This is a business you can trust to solve your automotive issues.

Tony's Pit Stop, is bar none the worst auto repair shop I've ever encountered. I've been told so…read moremany horror stories, keep it to my own.. Just under $800 bill for work that was not done. Before okaying the work, I asked Tony what was being done. Tony touched a censor, leaving his fingerprint on it, it had obviously never been touched before as left a big smudge. After work was finished the car was just as messed up. Took a look under the hood, the same smudged fingerprint was on it, obviously an old, and same piece. Told me sorry, he'll fix it, days later I'm told the car had rod knock and would soon be useless. He contested the visa reversal and won, even with a letter from Subaru stating none of the work was done. Fuck Tony and the horse he rode in on.

I was truly disappointed I'm this place, mostly the uncaring kids that work there. Six days after…read moremy car was towed there (including the weekend, to be fair) I stopped in to take a picture of the codes necessary for the correct part. Kraig was good to tell me them over the phone the day before, but it sounded like he said it was a PCM, when in fact, it was a BCM. Wish he would've been more clear, but not a big deal. When we were walking out there, we noticed the right rear tire was flat, even though my car was towed there & was a-ok at that point. Kraig stated it must be a slow leak; wasn't like that a couple of days ago. This was a Tuesday, yet they're closed on weekends (??). In checking out the tire, he then said it was getting low in 3 hrs. Be that as it may, When I picked up the car after it was done, immediately I saw big white scratches on my rear bumper that was not there before. Went in to inform Kraig & while we were looking at it, I then noticed a smaller mark on the front bumper, which was completely repainted just a few months beforehand & was also fine when it was towed there! He tried to downplay it & said he'd get ahold of the owner. In the meantime, I received photos from the tow truck company proving it was fine upon arrival there, yet Kraig said the owner was only willing to pay for the back bumper! Thankfully I disputed the charges with the AMEX (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED), so then he caved in & paid for both bumpers. I later found out they will actually use a quad runner ATV to push in and out cars if necessary!! The tire was suspicious since it happened well into their possession, but I let it go since I wanted nothing else than to move on & put this behind us. If all this wasn't enough, they didn't even have the courtesy to use a paper floor mat, so my car was rather filthy especially on the driver side. Unless you want your car treated like this folks, there are places very close by (Ewerts Automotive, Art's automotive) that treat their customer's cars with more respect & are much more reasonable. Low integrity automotive charges approx $185/hr, which is comparable to dealers!!
