This place is pure evil. The shop in the front (evil person smiles but don't trust him) I towed my car here and the man tells me it was a timing belt that broke and just trash it. So he tells me has a car for sell and its 2800. Two weeks later go in, and then he says the cost to buy the car is 4800 he states he had to pay for some things, so I guess I am paying for your payment of getting the car fixed. Not truthful person. I will never trust another car person again. I found another car, but I wouldn't trust him his word is not bond. My timing belt probably wasnt even broke. Just got back from getting a smog check. I've been a customer of this business for going on 8 years and have never had anything but professional work done here. DO NOT pay attention to Molly G's comment. There are two sides to every story and what this person put on here is wrong. Her car was inspected according to State of California Bureau of Automobiles and her car was tested correctly. Automotive Raceway Smog even took her results to the State and was told BY THE STATE that everything was DONE correctly. Glad she took her car somewhere else (Lexus Dealer) where she was promptly ripped off for what needed to be done in order for her car to pass. For the record her car can in no way PASS as she stated then all of a sudden NOT PASS. Either it passes or doesn't. I will continue to take my business to Automotive Raceway Smog and will gladly recommend this establishment to ANY and EVERYONE. read more

Didn't need an appointment. The owner of the shop took me in as soon as I arrived. Really nice guy! He got me in and out quicker than placing an order for a pizza! 20 minutes or so he was done with his inspection, certificate, and back on the road I went. Price was very fair for the area! I did not have my car serviced here but most people only take the time to write negative reviews. As I was leaving work yesterday evening, I saw that my rear driver side tire was dangerously low, basically flat. I wasnt going to be able to drive very far and as I was going by I saw that the shop was still open so I pulled in. I explained my dilema and the owner (didnt catch his name) was kind enough to stop what he was doing and put air in my tires. I only had 10psi and he brought it up to 44psi so I could get home. I asked what his charge was and he refused payment. My night would have definitely been bad had he not bothered to help me, which being a smog shop, had no obligation. Thank you sir read more

I've gone to the same smog place for about 10 years but tried Automotive Raceway Smog a couple years ago. I was stunned how fast and inexpensive they were so I tried them again recently and was pleasantly surprised. That's why Molly G's review is so puzzling. When I called before arriving, I spoke with a gentleman who answered the phone and he offered me a discount for that day. I'm not sure if it's because I was a "girl" or because it was a slow rainy day, but either way, I'll take it ! They were just as fast and inexpensive the 2nd time around so I will continue to do business there. I'm surprised all of Riverside isn't lined up outside for smog checks! read more

Very friendly on the phone and assured me that it would take no more than 15 minutes and was quoted an "out the door" price (over the phone). I had forgotten that my smog was due and, of course, my DMV registration was due in 2 days. I called them up to get a quote since they were close to my office. I ran over there on my lunch break and even though there were a couple of people ahead of me, I was still out the door in about 40 minutes.
