I came in for a smog a few weeks back. I din't have an appointment and was trying to find a place that would take me in without one. The folks here welcomed me right away. I was the only person there. It looked like they had some other cars they were working on, but that wasn't a problem. I was willing to wait if necessary. I was quoted a fair price for a smog on my 2014 Prius. They had me in and out of the shop in about 10 minutes. Everything was handled for me. Documents were all uploaded to the DMV and they didn't need my registration renewal to complete the job. I will bring my cars back here in the future when the smog tags are necessary. Come here only if you want great service they sprinkle good customer service as an added bonus. Relatively inexpensive, STAR certified, FAST, Professionals. I went here on a Friday to help a friend get their car smog checked. I went here based on the Yelp reviews. No appointment is necessary but they are appreciated. They have designated parking spots in the front of their storefront. The they drive your car around the back and into their shop. The smog check costs $50 if it passes and $40 if it does not but they will test it again if it does not. The service was fast, polite, and professional. Five star service. The technician even noticed something wrong with my friends car and told me how I could fix it myself. He warned me that a licensed mechanic would charge me $80 for it. I would come here again if I needed a smog check in Riverside. I learned a little about the business from the technician. The machine to test smog is like $25,000. read more

Thank you speedy smog for letting my husband and I know that our Jeep had a fuel leak somewhere. Come to find out the jeep passed smog just fine, but they smelt the leak. Took two cars here. Super quick and easy. Call ahead and let them know you want the yelp cash price and they will honor it! I needed to get my smog check done and I was looking at a few websites. Some websites said that they would charge between 60-100 to get my smog check done and that there was a small 10-20 dollar fee for any car that did not pass the test, instead of charging you the whole amount. But after looking around I came across Automotive Speedy Smog and saw that their prices were reasonable compared to other places. I called ahead to get an idea of how much it was going to cost depending on the make of my car. My car is a 2002 Honda CRV and they told me that they would charge me $40 dollars. I forgot to ask if there was a fee, if the car didn't pass but on my way there, I saw signs posted outside that said that you wouldn't have to pay until your car passed the smog check. The employees were very nice and instructed me on where to park my car while I waited and then instructed me on where to move my car for the smog check. They all wore masks for everyones safety and the entire process was very quick, maybe less than 15 minutes but it would have taken less time if I had been the only car there. Before you go, make sure that your car does not have any of the lights on such as the check engine light. It was my first time getting the smog check without anyone else present and my car's light likes to turn on every time I hit a bump and my cars light very conveniently turned on right as I got there and they were really nice and said that they couldn't do it unless the light was off. I explained that my car has a habit of doing this when I go over the bump and they said that I could drive it around and come right back as soon as it turned off. I came back the next day and I passed without any problems. And they let me know that it was probably just a sensor that was being turned on every single time I hit a bump in the road. Overall great experience and wonderful staff. I definitely recommend coming here if you need to get your smog check done. The pricing is reasonable and you wont have to pay until you pass which is awesome! read more

I came here to get my car checked, and unfortunately, it didn't pass. They charge you $30 if your car doesn't pass and only $10 for a retest. They are super nice and understanding!! I came in after I got my car fixed, but one of my cars monitors wasn't ready yet. I needed to drive it more for it to fully reset. I probably came in over six times (and counting) to check if my car was ready for the test. They were really nice about it each time and didn't charge me. They told me that I can keep coming in to check the status of my car and will only charge me the $10 retest fee once my car is ready. The test is extremely fast as well! It would probably take 10-15 minutes max depending if there's anyone there ahead of you. Would definitely recommend! read more
