They made everything easy and kept me updated, which I really appreciated. Ramon especially stood out with his customer service, he was kind, funny, and made the whole experience much more comfortable. I'm sometimes hesitant about going to mechanic shops, but this location has such a positive and welcoming atmosphere, even when they're busy. I would definitely recommend this Discount Tire location and their team to anyone who needs tire service!

Long story, if you can take it. I have been buying tires…read morefrom Discount Tires ever since I discovered them in Tucson. Since then, I have bought from Discount Tires in at least three cities, since I travel too much. A total of well over 50 tires, on over a dozen cars by actual count. All B.F. Goodrich KO tires, since I live on a dirt road, and need the extra protections on the sidewalls. Any time I have bought a car, I have gone straight to Discount Tires to put on a new set. Expensive, but if you've ever changed a tire on a dirt road in southern Arizona in the summer, you will understand. Discount Tires offers a pretty good guarantee, which I have used more than once. Good stuff. At least until yesterday, when I ran into a brick wall at the store where I have bought the most tires. I got a slow leak in one of my front tires, so I took my Subaru in to my favorite store to get it repaired. They advertise that they will fix flats whether you bought it from them, or not. Slam dunk, since I actually bought the tire from them anyway, right? Wrong. Alex went on out to my car when I brought it in at the appointed time, and looked at all the tires on my car, and reported that he could not fix the flat on my front tire, because one of the rear tires is 11 years old. Huh? What does that have to do with the front tire, I asked? Well, it turns out that company policy, according to Discount Tires, is that they will not work on a car that has an old tire. Not work on the tire, the whole car. Doesn't matter if they sold the tire in question, all the tires on the car, or none of them. Company policy. I whined that I had been a great Discount Tires customer for decades, always bought the high-dollar tires, blah blah. No dice. He hands me back the keys, shows me the door. Now, you may ask why I have such an old tire on my car to begin with. Well, the tread is not only not worn out, but it matches perfectly the wear on the rest of the tires on the car. If you have ever owned a Subaru, you know what this means. If your tires are mismatched in the tread, you will toast your transmission eventually. Really. Ask friends who drive Subarus. So, if I replaced the old tire, I would have to buy four BFG tires, for well over a thousand bucks. Rather not, if I don't have to. The old tire has about half the tread, has no cracks, has been watched carefully over the years, but its old. End of story. No more Discount Tires for me. I don't believe in dealing with businesses that have secret rules to screw you out of your money. As they say, your mileage may vary. Good luck. Miller McPherson Tucson

I asked to have ball joints and my bushings done but I don't want to replace my original control in process. The guys tell me, no problem buddy. I drop the truck off on Tuesday for the Moog parts to be installed and I don't make contact with the guy until Friday. I spoke to a guy on Thursday and he just told me that I need hubs ASAP cause they are bad. So I ask what's the cost? He says $1200, I reply so $1200 total for hubs, ball joints and bushing. He says yes so you will have a brand new set up when we are done. I tell him I agree to pay $1200 and to call when done. The guy I speak to on Friday just tells me I was trying to call you so that we can just order your Moog parts that are needed. I go in Friday and trucks not done but I pay in advance for the work. I get a call Saturday and they say truck is done but they don't like the way the driver hub sounds so they are going to replace it. They keep truck and install the new parts. I get a call later and they say it's done and ready for pick up. I can't go so I send my son and daughter. I don't drive my truck that night so I don't get to see the work. I look at the truck on Sunday morning to check it out and take some pictures. I notice I'm missing a cotter pin in 1 ball joints so now I wana take a better look. I go under the truck and notice that none of my bushing have been changed and that my hubs are a different brand? I take the truck for a test drive and I hear a crazy squealing noise from the front drive wheel. I call the shop Monday and ask to speak to the AL and he's not there yet. I call again later and he picks up and I tell him I have some concerns. I asked for joints and bushing but you guys told me to get the hubs done. All will be Moog brand and I will have all new front end. I look and I have missing parts and some hubs that are not even Moog. He tells me, look Buddy I couldn't find the Moog hubs so I put some other brand in. As for the bushing I never agreed on that so I only did the ball joints. If there is a noise being it down and we will take a look. I tell him, I agreed on Moog brand parts and I didn't get them. I have missing parts and a issue with my wheel cause it's making a crazy noise. AL replies, I never agreed on installing Moog parts. I can't find them. If you want new bushing, we have to install new arms. I was trying to tell you on phone but I was waiting on the OK to install hubs. I can find them and I gave him the model # I have. He tells me, I can order them but it will cost more for Moog. He will eat the cost for labor but the difference on parts cost is on me. He them tells me I'll order the parts and give you a call when they show up. It's going to cost more thou. Thai was on 1-15-21 and still I haven't gotten a call. I told him, so you don't install parts because you don't have them but you can change brands without getting the OK from me?? I'm not happy with the work and parts. Only reason I came to this shop is because you said you can do the work without changing me arms, which I didn't want to do. So now, you want me to change my arms and change hubs again. So lose the money on the ball joints and hubs installed already to install all new arms with joints and bushing on them already?? My receipt says $1200 for hubs, ball joints that was giving to my kids when picked up. * My quote that AL gave me says $550 for ball joints, this is after he did a inspection. * 2nd quote says $750 for ball joints and bushing, this was giving to me after another inspection and he recommended I do bushing and joints. * 3rd quote says $1200 but he took off the bushing, this was after I was told I was getting new bushing, ball joints & hubs and all Moog brand. I do not recommend this place and I think I have to take this guy to court. I'm not letting them touch my truck again for safety reasons. I got a loan to do this work and plus I wasted all my time taking here and plus the time it was parked for the the issues until fixed.

The first visit was about a year ago when I purchased tires for my daughter's car. It was fine--very transactional. Appointment made, tires installed, done. Nothing memorable, nothing bad, nothing review-worthy. This time was a completely different story. I called on Friday and spoke with a gentleman named Russell, who explained that they fix tires with nails or screws for free. He told me to just bring the car in and that they were taking walk-ins all day. Based on that conversation, I went in on Saturday. The store was extremely busy with appointments and walk-ins, and after waiting about 40 minutes without ever being seen after the initial check in, I decided to leave and make an appointment instead. Since they're closed on Sunday, I scheduled an appointment for Monday and came back today. I checked in, clearly explained that I was there for one thing only: to have a nail/screw removed from my tire. The tire wasn't even flat--I had just noticed the screw and wanted it repaired properly. They did their standard inspection, which is understandable, and then told me that all four tires needed to be replaced. I explained that I was not in the market for four new tires and certainly wasn't planning on spending $1,200-$1,300 today. I just wanted the tire fixed. I even would have been willing to pay for the repair, despite being told it was free. That's when I was told they could not fix my tire because I didn't purchase the tires there. So to be clear: because I didn't agree to buy four new tires, they refused to repair a tire with a nail in it--even though I was told over the phone that this was a service they provided. And no they did not fix it. I guess I had to buy new tires. Horrendous service. Extremely disappointing, especially given how simple this should have been.

Can get one from another store, OK. Staff couldn't move past the fact that the flat tire I brought in didn't fit the car I was driving, when they did figure out the car it was installed on, they had the wrong car, I own several. I asked to have the weight mounted on the back, they had ignored that request on the initial installation as well. Guess what ignored it this time as well. I asked to save my casing, was told "no problem", several times. When I picked it up, the weight was on the outside and the Manager refused to give me the casing, because I used the certificate, THAT I PAID FOR. I will make an appointment to replace the tires and return these and the CERTIFICATES. This what not a bad experience, just the standard that I now expect from this store. My fault for going back...
