Poor staffing, called yesterday 10/22/24 around noon, made an appointment for the next day at 9am So i get there, right before 9am I had my 5 year old daughter with me so i ask whats the ETA, they said "theres one vehicle in front of you so give it 30 min to an hour do you want to wait?" I could've waited there, (glad i didnt) so i told them no, so I walk with my daughter somewhere close to kill time. Went to iHop & had breakfast there We took our sweet time, since i was in no rush, (they said the'd call or text when the vehicle is ready) After about an hour or so, I noticed they still hadnt called. Either way, we started our way back to the shop, my daughter had to use the restroom so we stopped at taco bell, then we went to walgreens to kill more time. Then, we make it back to the shop nearly 2 hours later and i find my SUV exactly where i had parked it. On top of that, I noticed they were working on a different car, it wasn't the car that was in front of me when I left!!! Smh!!! Then I ask this lady at the front desk if my vehicle is ready and she went to find out. Turns out it hadn't even been looked at yet. So they pull it in and i ask this gentleman who i believe is the manager, older male, grey hair. Anyway, he said it can take up to an hour. At this point, I was not only disappointed, but pissed off because I had my daughter with me and they WASTED MY TIME!!!! He offered me $20 off for the inconvenience but I told him I appreciate the offer but we are talking about time here. So i decided to just take my vehicle and leave. This was my very first time at this location/any Big O Tire store and boy was it a huge disappointed. Not only that, the "manager" asked if I knew who I checked in with, then the guy came out to speak to me and made bunch or BS excuses. He even had the audacity to say I was a walk-in. That's when I raised my voice and said I HAD AN APPOINTMENT SIR!!! A 9am APPOINTMENT and its almost 11am and now you're telling me I have to wait till noon or maybe longer!!! Biggest waste of time and money, picked up a screw on the road, since it's not in the exact center of the tire, they won't fix it. My spare is brand new, I asked if they could put that on, but they couldent get it off the truck! This place is ridiculous and ineffective at best! I went to big O on Alvernon and I got the tire insurance. You know that's supposed to fix your tire if something happens. So I bought the tire a year and a half ago guaranteed for 50,000 miles which maybe I had 15,000 miles on it I got a blowout not to mention the danger of that so I went in first thing cause they were closed on Labor Day and they tell me that their insurance doesn't cover blowouts so they wanna charge me for a whole new tire and by the way since I got this tire, I've had to fill it with air every week for a year and a half so my recommendation to you is stay the heck away from them unless you wanna throw money into the garbage and be unsafe in your vehicle. Costco is the way to go stay away from these guys. And I just want you to know I have never written a bad review for anybody. so I just know how bad this is. read more

I had a pancake-flat tire before work one day. I got help and there was a nail in my tire. Surprisingly it held air, so I rushed to Big O before it went flat again. They told me my tire could be fixed but they recommended new tires because mine were 7 years old. My next question was whether they could get tires for my ancient car. I was thrilled they had my tires in the Tucson warehouse so I could get things done the same day. Overall it was under 3 hours from the flat at home to all 4 new tires. That was including the searching for and retrieving the tires. There were people coming in looking for service on their cars. Not just wheel services, but oil changes and diagnosing the weird noise kinds of things. Most people hadn't called first. They take walk-ins! It was expensive, but a good value. Tires just cost money. The waiting area was decent. They had a Keurig and a water dispenser. The restroom was clean and easily accessible. The man running the shop was nice. He knew some of the oil change customers by name. The mechanic came to talk to me about additional services and explained what those were and why I wanted them and what the costs were. At checkout I was invited back for any kind of service my car needed and told a bunch of tire-related services were included and to bring my car by any time. The car drove better afterward! A couple days after all this, I got a text from the folks at the local Big O asking if things were good. It wasn't an ad from the corporate office. When I texted back that things are fine, I got a human response right away saying they were glad to help. It was a pretty bad start to a morning, but it worked out because of the help I got! read more

While my car was with this company awaiting repair, my catalytic convertor was stolen off the vehicle. Cut out and replaced with a webbed device to quiet my vehicle. Jesus was in charge , on duty, the person I spoke with to assure me that he would be able to get my vehicle running properly. Unfortunately my car was killed and the engine failed. read more

I ordered a tire on June 8th 2024. I was never notified that it was in, so I called on June 13th 2024. I was told it was in and made an appointment for 8 a.m. June 15th. I arrived at 7:30 a.m. and was told it was not in. I waited until 8:40 a.m. for the tire to arrive. I was told they would get right on it. I look out to the parking lot around 9:30a.m to see my car in the same spot. It wasn't even being worked on. I calmy asked for my keys and was on my way. This was the last Big O I had faith in. I will never be back to any Big O Tires in the Tucson area. Not one sorry from the staff. I showed up early because I respect people's time. I wish this Big O had that same respect for mine. *UPDATE* After the bad service I got at this Big O. I went to Discount Tire on Kino. They fixed the tire I was told here was unrepairable. The whole reason I went through all this was because I was told my tire needed to be replaced. In my opinion this place is practicing fraud. If they ever tell you they can't fix a tire, please take it to Discount Tire on Kino for a second opinion. read more

I have been to this location many a time and have always left better off. One of their finest benefits is the financing they offer through Syncrony. Excellent customer service!! I found a nail in my tire and decided it was finally time to bite the bullet and replace two of my tires. I came down to this Big O and they got going on the repairs. I called my husband to let him know what was happening and he wasn't happy with the course of action we decided on. Butch had already explained things to me several times but he graciously agreed to speak with my husband over the phone and further explain. They eventually both agreed to change our original plan and replace all four tires. The managers at this Big O (Butch and Rosie) were beyond pleasant about the change of plans. I was truly impressed. Not only for discussing things with me (and over the phone with my husband), but also for being so patient when it came to changing their course of action mid-repair and assuring me that it was no inconvenience. Don't come here if you're in a hurry. We were in desperate need of two new RV tires and needed to get back on the road, and they said to give them a hour and that they only had one tire to do before our's. We come back over 1.5 hours later and they hadn't even touched them. Ofcourse they start working on them when they saw us. Very frustrating!! Honestly they have the best customer service every time I come. They asked me if I'm okay with the oil the car recommends before putting $80 oil in (even though I literally know nothing about cars) and gave me other options and told me what would happen if I put different oils in. Then a guy walked in and they told him they have a long wait, so he could wait or if he came back later they'd save a spot for him. They put the car on the lift, checked all the tires. 30 minutes later it was out front, they said there had been a puncture and it was repaired. Honestly think this is the best car place in town. My husband used to work in a car shop all through college so he does most of our car work. But sometimes he can't (because we don't have a lift, or necessary tools, etc.) and we ALWAYS go to this specific Big O store. The prices can't be beat - they are super fair about everything. For example, their labor sheets might say that a job takes 2 hours. But if they actually finish in 90 minutes then they'll only charge you for 90 minutes, not the full 2 hours. NO WHERE does that! Even if they finish early they ALWAYS charge the full amount! And they don't try to screw you - telling you that you need stupid stuff you don't really need - they're always genuine and honest. Great little tire and more store on Alvernon just south of Broadway. Came in on a recommendation for big tires and found those and a size smaller. The kind who helped me was a no pressure sort of person, who showed me several options and ideas to me. What I liked was he kept prices mentioned the entire time- I think this place knows people may have limits on money and thus helps you try to save. He even put the tire on and said we could try on several kinds before I made a final decision. It was a pretty quick process and there is a little waiting area with tv and magazines and coffee. I talked to one of the customers who is a regular and she said she uses Groupon coupons often and gets oil changes at this store. I got an alignment done on the rear of my vehicle and with this and 4 new tires I came out at $650, and I did not have to wait. I was impressed and think I'll stick with this place for now as I find Discount Tire to be a little hectic at times. This place is very nice with awesome management. I was hesitant about having to go to Big O tires as the one off golf links and kolb near my house had horrible service but my dad suggested I try this location out because he had heard good things about it from the guys at his work. My car had tires from the previous owner still under warranty and they needed a balancing and rotation so I tried it out. The manager there is awesome! He doesn't try to push things on you that aren't needed and if your car does need something, mine needed a new air filter, he told me about it and the pricing of a new one without pressuring me into it which I love. I hate goin to auto shops and they try to put all this pressure on you to do extra work there. I was in and out that day without any appointment! Now a few months later I needed to get new tires finally and decided to go back to Big O since they provided wonderful service and the tires originally on my car when I bought it had lasted me quite some time. I spoke with the manager again and asked about financing options because I couldn't afford such a great out of pocket expense being a college student. He told me about the credit card they offer and when I was approved for quite a high limit he still helped me stay on the cheaper side of tires with a good warranty and mileage rating staying well under the amount I was approved for instead of trying to get me to use it all and blow more money than needed! Definitely recommend this particular Big O tire location over ANY of the other ones in Tucson! read more

I have bought tires here three or four times now. They are always very prompt and very nice. Their tires seem to last longer than any i had ever gotten from Discount Tire - and that is coming from someone who always loved Discount Tire. Quality product at a great price. Very honest. They clearly explain what i need and what I don't and they don't ever try to get me to spend on something I really don't need at the time just to make a buck. I like how they text me when it's time for a rotation. And the price of my tire doesn't change every time i go in there. Its been the same consistent price for the last three times. Back in July/August, I had 4 new whitewall tires and shocks/alignment done on a 91 Caprice. I love the tires and the ride was smooth and straight. Seemed to be the one business that didn't screw me over. I drove the car for a while and then let it sit in my carport while I used another car that had better fuel economy. One of my tires slowly lost air, so had to use fix-a-flat. Don't know if it was something I ran over or a defect. Also one of the front shocks still made a light vibrating noise compared to the harsh one previously so need to bring it back under warranty to see what they can do and will follow up. I had an internet coupon at home for $25 off of $100 or more, which I easily spent and cannot see getting the value of now. Don't you hate it when that happens? read more

The guys here are really nice and very helpful! I hit a pot hole and thought I had busted a hole in my tire. When I took it in they said it would be about $15 to fix. They ended up rolling the tire over to me to look at, I had bent the rim. He said he'd try to bend it back hoping there wouldn't be a problem with it. They bent it back and said it would be fine. Talk about amazing customer service! I needed to have my oil changed and am so glad I decided to bring my car here. Upon calling to see how long the wait was going to be, the person on the phone was cheerful and made me feel like I would not be upsold in the process. My car was ready faster then he quoted! The guys did let me know that my air filter needed to be changed, a standard "need" when you get your oil changed. Because I couldn't remember the last time I had it changed I went ahead and approved. When I paid for the service, they brought the very dirty air filter out to show me that it was in fact a valid necessity. Definitely choose this Big O if you need service!!! read more

We were passing through Tucson when we noticed our tires were badly out of balance so we stopped at this Big O location a little after 5 pm. On inspecting the tires they noticed one was separating. We had just had them rotated and balanced at another Big O in another town a few hours away. We needed a new tire and they did not carry needed size. The Big O employee tried to sell us one a little bigger but my husband insisted we have the same size as the other tires. He said it was too late to get it from the warehouse for the next morning delivery. We even called other Big O stores and they said the same thing. We could have driven on the spare to the town we were going 4 hrs away but felt it would be best to take care of the tire now but did not want to wait 2 days. The tire was under warranty so we didn't want to go elsewhere. A lady who worked there ( I failed to get her name) said just call the warehouse directly so the guy helping us did. We were able to get the tire the next morning thanks to the lady who works there. The car rode great so the tires were balanced. We were happy to learn that Big O tires are made in USA and not in China. Thanks Big O! read more

This place is GREAT on giving you the shaft. The only thing they want is your money. I bought 4 tires from this location. Within 10,000 miles all 4 tires were cupped and the ride was rough. The owner "insisted" that it was my vehicle. I had the vehicle at Jim Click the day before and they put the tires on their Road force Measurement machine which indicated 3 of the 4 tires were bad. All mechanical aspects of the vehicle were checked, and nothing was wrong. Even with this report, the owner still insisted it was the vehicle, and wanted to put it on the rack to look at it. (Oh yeh, and charge me more money) He then stated he would replace 1 tire. I told him you can't replace 1 tire on a 4 wheel drive vehicle, at which point he told me they do it all the time????In a nutshell, they don't know what the heck they are doing, and even with a fool proof report, I still have 4 peices of crap on my vehicle. Anyone have an extra $1000 so I can get decent tires at a respectable and reliable dealer? read more
