I bought two keys but they weren't in stock and had to order them. No problem. I came back a week later to pick up my keys but they weren't cut correctly and didn't start my car. I was told to make an appointment with Certified Service to figure out the issue. My appointment was yet another week away for a 0730 slot. I waited for 5 hours just for them to tell me they are going to get the keys recut at a sister dealership and they will call me when it's ready. It has been two weeks still no call. I have taken my car here for an oil change 3 times and every time I leave my car has an issue a week or two later. My first oil change required me to get a new engine. My second oil change, a new transmission, this last one almost cost me a turbo (I caught the problem; a loose hose, just in time) The laurel location is not a good one to take your car to because they obviously don't know what they are doing. Like why was my hose loose when all I got was an oil change. They had no business on that side of my car in the first place. I have called corporate and am going to call Kia next to let them know about the service I received there. To add, my turbo sensor is shot because they left the intake hose loose. After purchasing the vehicle, I reached out numerous times to see when / if my permanent plates had come in before my temporary plates had expired, but I was only told "they haven't come in yet." The day after they expired, I was told they should be in the following day. I drove to the dealership the next day to be told they weren't in, and then I was told "oh you should receive a check in the mail. There was a violation and we couldn't get the registration." No one had told me that in the 60 days I had the temporary plates. I contacted the MVA who stated the Maryland state inspection had never been sent to them. I called the dealership multiple times over the series of a week to see if they had the Maryland state inspection, and was either kept on hold, sent to voicemail, or transferred between people who never answered my question. No one called back to answer a simple question and I still yet not received a check for the registration, despite bringing the receipts to the dealership who made copies and promised to get back to me. It's been almost 4 months now. Horrible communication. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

She treated me so bad and hung up the phone on me because I requested to speak to someone who speaks Spanish because my English is not good enough. Then I called again and she was very rude and put my call on hold "forever". I would give them 0 stars if I could, because they did absolutely nothing for me. I walked in and they were immediately hostile. I saw them arguing with another customer before me. I had made an appointment for 12:45 on a Saturday a week ahead of time. I saved my confirmation just in case. When I got there, I told them I had a recall and that something was wrong with my engine. They wouldn't even look at my car because they said they "don't do those kind of appointments on Saturdays". I told them they should've told me that when I made the appointment, and they asked if I made it online. I told them yes, and they told me not to make appointments with them online. I told them they shouldn't offer that option if they didn't want customers making appointments that way, and they said they only offer it because General Motors requires them to offer it, but they don't look at them. I told them I had no way of knowing that, because I assumed that if it was available, then it was an option. If Saturday wasn't available, someone should've called me. I drove further away to this location because it was the first available appointment and I was worried about my car breaking down. They just kept repeating to me not to make appointments online with them. They also gave me a hard time about having to wait with the car. I explained that I live alone and don't have a ride or another car. They were extremely condescending and just kept repeating the same information over: don't make the appointment online, and you'll need to drop it off. I have a feeling General Motors also requires them to look at their online appointments if they require them to offer it. It would've been nice if they could have at least looked at my car. I made an appointment with Bowie, but it's not for another week. If my car breaks down this week while I'm waiting for this appointment, it's 100% on this location. I would have made an appointment sooner with Bowie if I knew Laurel wasn't going to take me today. However, I didn't know until I waited a week for this appointment, drove a half hour and showed up, only be to turned away. read more

This is my first time getting my car serviced. I caught a flat tire I scheduled an appointment for a replacement tire for 12:15. I arrived on time only to wait over 2 hours to get ONE Tire changed and to test drive my car. By the time they were finally done the shop was closing at 3:00. So, I had a horrible experience with Ourisman Chevrolet on Branch Ave, where I took my car for an oil change in July, and the next day my change engine oil warning came on in my Chevy Camaro. Onstar said the oil was never changed. The dealer tried to say the light wasn't reset, but after he tried and failed, he finally had the oil changed. I spent over 3 hours waiting for nothing...No thing. Vowed I wouldn't go back. On Dec 20, take my car to Autonation in Laurel. Lovely staff, lovely waiting area. I waited nearly 4...yep, 4 hours for an oil change and tire rotation. I had to return that same day, because my tires felt lile they were gonna fall off! They hustled me into an alignment and balance...we are at nearly 300 now. Remember, I just came in for an oil change. 3 more hours, the car now shakes at 60mph, and guess what came on today? My change engine oil light. I am livid! I love the car, but because clearly, Chevy dealers see me, and say, "Hmmmm, let's waste this sucka's time and charge him for nothing", I have vowed to never purchase another GM product! NEVER! Since they're in the neighborhood, Fox was the first place I checked out when looking to lease a new car, and I was very disappointed. I clearly told them at the beginning what I could pay (around $200/month), and that I hoped to pay for the down payment with my old car; after filling out lots of paperwork beforehand, we test-drove the 2013 Sonic hatchback. Got back, did more paperwork, and was told the monthly payments would be $275/month and that they'd only give me $1,000 for my car (or about half the Blue Book trade-in value). I ended up sitting at the salesman's desk for many, many minutes alone, waiting as they crunched numbers to give me slightly lower offers; they eventually gave me a final monthly payment of $230, and said if I couldn't pay less than that I should "consider a pre-owned vehicle." I ended up going to a Ford dealership across town (Academy), who gave me substantially more for my old car ($1500) and leased me a very similar hatchback (the 2013 Ford Fiesta, only $800 less expensive than the Sonic in MSRP) for $211/month. Overall, I get a strong impression that Fox tried to take advantage of my car naïveté, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. read more

I am sitting here at almost midnight after being here for 5 hours. We came in at 7 tonight, ready to purchase a used car with all cash. Do not buy a car from this place. I have never written a yelp review but this experience has caused me to. The manager is rude (Jose) and even after we waited for 4 hours, his single finance manager was not able to close a deal, which was for all cash. After we waited for 5 hours and we had long ago agreed to pay all cash and the asking price they did not take any money off. Not one dollar. There were no apologies, Jose simply acted helpless. Started off with a 5 star review when I bought my 2011 Camaro from them. The purchase and sched. Maint. was good over the 5 years of ownership. * Update....I bought my 2017 SS Camaro from another Dealer because Autonation is no longer the same after several years. Since having my 17' SS I have attempted to go there for service and they have an entirely different crew attitude and management of now 80% foreigners working in service. During COVID I drove directly in the service lane for a Minor issue for someone to just acknowledge for some advice. Before I could get through the door they asked if I had an appt. I told them no and just wanted someone to look at something as the car was just 10 feet away from us. They all gave me an FU look and insisted I make an appt. The thing is my car was the only one in the service lane. The only reason I went there is because its the closest Chevy dealer to my house. Imagine if I pulled in with a dying battery or flat tire, imagine the lack of response. For all they knew my battery could have been dead but they all refused to get off their asses to see what the issue was. I asked for the manager and some guy named they all called Jesse came out with the same attitude as if to avoid work and me interrupting their Covid vacation. Avoid this dump. I reported them to the main Chevy customer service in detroit and Chevy sent me a $100 coupon to use for any service which I did at my main dealership I purchased the car. read more

Worst service experienxe. Do not come here. Go to literally anywhere but AutoNation in Laurel. Derrick and Jon provided hands down the worst customer service. The poor customer care is worse than comcast. Dropped the car off first thing in the morning and they did not do the work as instructed and ignored all statements provided. Was lied to on two occasions regarding being notified. Was told it would take few hours but took 8 in total. Overall I ended up with only a state inspection that I need to repeat because they didnt follow instructions. Not to mention the cost was $30 greater than elsewhere locally. Jon the manager disappeared when explaining my disappointment in the service. They squeezed $110 for the inspection and tried to get more. All they cared about was taking money, as much as possible, regardless of warranty or care packages. No one offered any discount for time wasted. read more

Came because I was having charging system issues on my cruze. Which has a know issue with the negative battery cable and is under warranty to 120k miles. They also offered the free inspection. I think 50 pts. Now here is where the issues begins, they claimed my power steering fluid was "Great/OK"/Green. Which my car doesn't have. They claimed my AC was in great condition-- Which doesn't work/ blows hot air. So why is this an issue? My AC and Power steering are on the alternator, to check them means you checked my alternator which since I had charging issues I would have offered to the car owner (Even if for a price) So now the same light is on and its clear my alternator is failing for some reason, which means I can loss my power steering while driving & risk the engine stalling on the highway. I suspect my serpentine belt is worn/the tensioner is failing. The front desk people were awesome however and super nice! however the mechanics should stop cutting corners. Im 90lbs if my serpintine belts snaps or my power steering goes out I can die. So its a serious issue. ....atleast they fixed the cord....sent me on my way with barley any engine oil and didnt even check it (yes my dipstick was gone but I thibk its part of the inspection read more

DO NOT take your vehicle for service here, whether you purchased it there or not!! Whether it is for a recall or check engine light issue! They will always find another issue that was not an issue, never had been an issue!!! They have a great sales department! We have purchased multiple vehicles from them in the past years for our business and personal needs! We have sent family and friends there to purchase vehicles as well! In the service department they are deceptive, disrespectful, unwilling to help and have no idea what the concept of customer service is... from 3 different people, Chris, Derrick and the General Manager, Cleo, I was asked "Well mam, what is it you want us to do.... when all I asked was to explain why I never had a battery issue before, wasn't told yesterday there was a battery issue, gave them permission to fix the issue that they said was wrong... and it would be $232.00. Today I'm told the vehicle didn't start and it needed a new battery and that would be another $200+. Why wasn't I told this yesterday. They had to get it into the shop, didn't they? So now, according to them, they had to jump start it to get it in there? Again, why wasn't I told yesterday... I wasn't told because there wasn't an issue yesterday. And yes, by the time the General Manager, Cleo could not answer my simple question and had no interest in investigating it. I was angry! And let him know it. For that I apologize. It takes a lot to get me to that point! That is the only issue I apologize for. This is not the 1st occasion we have had issues with the service department. But it will be the last. Outstanding Sales Rep, Beware of Sales Manager! We just bought a car from Stephanie Kellogg, who was fabulous -- can't say enough about her!! She called me, after we had previously test driven an Equinox and Envision, and said, "Come on in, my Sales Manager is going to give you a great deal on an Envision." So we went in, decided on the Envision, and Stephanie once again said, "My manager is going to give you a great deal." After meeting the Sales Manager, Jose Alvarado, he reiterated what a great deal he was going to give us. However, after waiting nearly an hour for him to "work up the numbers", he came back to us with the exact same numbers Stephanie had quoted us two days earlier! "We give you our best deal up front," he told us. Ugh! Then, after telling me he would give me $1,000 on my trade-in, he reneged within 5 minutes, telling me he would only give me $600. I would have walked at that point, but my disabled vehicle was at their dealership and would have had to be towed elsewhere. Note to AutoNation and Sales Manager Jose Alvarado -- Don't make a commitment to a customer and then renege. It's bad business that will cost you many times over. read more

I would just like to say i am very disappointed in the service at Laurel branch. when I test drive the car i saw the Tpms light was on and Danielle the sales person said, do not worry we would take care of it. I went ahead and purchase the car. When i got in the car, the Tpms light was still on. I went back inside and spoke to Danielle and she said to bring it back another day because the service department was closed. I went back on Wednesday to get the system checked out and they took the Tpms light off. As i was on my way home the light came back on. I then took the car to the Lexus dealer and they said that one of the Tpms sensors is bad. I called Danielle and told her what the Lexus dealer told me. She told me that her Manager said that I would have to pay to get it fixed. I was so mad because I just got this car and i put all my money down on the car. I immediately told her that I did not want the car anymore and I'm on my way back to them. As i got there, I spoke to the Sales Manager Reilly. I told him about everything about the car and he told me that he would pay for the sensor and would take a few days. I called on Friday to follow with them on the part and left Danielle a voicemail and she never got back to me. I also called on Saturday and left a voicemail for for her Sales Manager Reilly and also still no response. This is the worst car dealership/service department that I have ever encountered. I purchased a vehicle from auto nation in Laurel, Md, 2 months ago. In those two months Ive had issues with the vehicle that I had to get fixed through the dealership. When I called to schedule my appointment I had to wait 2 weeks for an available appointment. Once I got to the service department for my appointment, I proceeded to wait in the waiting area while my car was getting fixed. The guy fixing my car told me it would roughly be two hours to get things looked at. At the two hour mark the guy comes out to tell me that they just received the parts to start working on my vehicle and it will be an additional 2 hours. I'm annoyed by the lack of communication, but Im more annoyed that they were not offering a rental vehicle nor was I prepared to have someone pick me up, so I waited. Almost three hours later, I ordered food and stepped outside to retrieve the Uber eats. When I stepped outside I realize that my car is sitting in the parking lot. MIND YOU, its been almost 5 hours of me sitting there waiting. I went to the front desk to ask if my vehicle is ready and if so, why havent I been told... JUST for them to tell me that they were waiting for the parts when I was told 3 hours ago that the parts arrived. So now I've been sitting in this service department for 5 hours for NO reason. They ended up rescheduling me for the next day to come in when my parts arrived. This was by far the worst customer service that I have witnessed from a dealership. Terrible communication and Even when speaking to the manger, he apologized and thats it. Shrugged his shoulders and gave me a new appointment. After having a car for ten years, I was looking forward to a new one. Then I started car shopping. At several other dealerships, I walked out on sales people that I at first felt friendly with, then realized they were flat out lying to me. Up-selling is one thing, but lying is another!! Stephanie Kellogg called me while I was working with other dealerships. I told her up front I was working with others, and asked why I should come there. Her answers were straight-forward and truthful (after dealing with other dealerships, the details she gave me were definitely truthful), so I made an appointment. I'm so glad I did. Stephanie listened to what I wanted, and found me just that. There was no pressure to find a $40,000 car that fit with my $30,000 budget. I felt the deal I got was fair on both sides. I maybe could've gotten less, and I maybe would have paid more. That's car sales, folks. I'm happy and grateful for her service and attention to my needs and wants. Honestly, there are a lot of other little (BIG) things that made me happy to do business with Stephanie, and you know those things if you are currently shopping. At the very least, give Stephanie a blind call. You'll be glad you did. Also, the finance rep (sorry, I forgot his name!) was friendly, patient, and professional. We talked about my less-than-perfect (not TOO bad!) credit score, and the things people should consider to get better APR. It wasn't a "we offer you this because you have this score" speech - more of a discussion of how to impact my loans going forward. And after my two kids being in the dealership for 2.5 hours, they started acting like kids in his office. He acted like he never saw a thing - I acted like I wasn't totally embarrassed. If I could put no stars I would! I made an appointment with the service department for a transmission diagnostic On my Camaro a week ago and my appointment was today at 7:30. I get there, lady name Monica checks me in and takes the keys. No questions. Then I ask what time can I pick up my car? She says we will call you around 12pm and let you know. I get back to work and get a missed call and a voicemail from Monica around 10AM. She ask me what is wrong with my car and why I need the testing done. Why didn't she ask me that this morning?? I immediately call back right away and she did not answer so I left a detailed voicemail with the information. I call back several times and no answer. 2pm comes around and I start calling all numbers for the service department. They looked me up and said that I didn't have an appointment and they are busy today. I asked to talk to Monica and they put me on hold and said she is on break but took my information and stated that they would give her my information. I called back several times and ask to talk to a supervisor or manager and kept getting transferred to a voicemail. I end up going for my car and Monica tells me I called you several times and they needed an answer on why I needed the diagnostic test and she said it would be a couple more hours before I get my car or I can reschedule. Why didn't they put other people on hold and run the test seeing that I had a 7:30am appointment and it was now after 3pm? Why didn't she return my calls or stated that her cellphone did not have good service there so she was not getting my calls? Why did I have to waste a whole day to hear this? Definitely do not recommend this establishment because of unprofessional incompetent employees and the bad service. About 2 months ago I stopped by the service lane to have them look at a minor issue. I noticed they had a totally different crew from the service mgr on down. Hulio or whatever his name refused to even look at my car or even allow me to show them the issue without an Appointment. Their lazy asses did not even get out of there seats to show any interest whatsoever. A few weeks ago I made an appt. for another issue under warranty. I chose them because they are close. I got it in and a part was needed that they said would be 3 to 5 business days. That was about 2 weeks ago. Not a peep out of that joint. Lets see if they ever respond. Update: Arrived home to find out night Service Manager had called and left a message on my home phone an hour after our conversation to inform me that my car was ready for pickup. Sadly, this was NOT the phone number I asked them to call when I dropped the car off for service. The work order had my work phone number in large hand-writing across the top of the page. Done by the employee that checked me in. Somehow this was not noticed. I arrived home too late to do anything about picking up my vehicle before they closed for the evening. The next morning I called and spoke with a different Service Department employee. He repeatedly apologized for the horrible miscommunications. He also confirmed that the technician had determined that a "melted wire" in the wiring harness had created the problem with the headlight. And that a replacement harness had been obtained and installed. Which was completely counter to what I had been told but welcome news. In addition, the Service employee readily agreed to have their shuttle service come to my home to pick me up and transport me back to the dealership. The person who checked me out saw that the previous night's encounter had already resulted in my bill being reduced 10%. He added another 10% reduction. This was appreciated. In the end, the work was performed and the headlight is again working. Hopefully for many years more. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Took car in for headlight repair at 8:30AM. Made use of their shuttle service (driver was very kind and I enjoyed his company during the drive) to get from there to work. Was told they would call with an update. And that I would be picked up for the return ride at 3PM. Great! Didn't happen. At 4PM I called them. The person on the phone claimed he was the Service Manager during the call. He expressed surprise that no one called me. Started stammering about being short-staffed. He then informed me that they didn't have the part they needed for the repair. And it wouldn't arrive, best case, until 10:30AM tomorrow. And they would be keeping the car overnight. Because the entire front bumper had been removed (thanks, designer of vehicle) to allow access to the headlight being repaired. When I asked how I was going to get home from work there was dead air, followed by muttering about their shuttle service area not including my home. The Service Manager kindly suggested I call Uber to get home. Had they contacted me like they said I may have had time to find a ride home from my early-schedule co-workers. But it is now too late for that. And that still wouldn't help me with transportation tomorrow. The vehicle headlights worked fine for the lifetime of the original headlight bulbs. I used the dealership 2 1/2 years ago to replace all bulbs in vehicle after both headlights burned out within days of each other. Two (2) years later I had to come back again as the passenger headlight again burned out. And now 3 months later yet again for the same headlight. This time I am told my headlight wiring harness was damaged. Wonder how it got damaged? So, I have had poor problem analysis during the prior visits, at a minimum. Or poor quality replacement parts. And now I have been stranded at work due to this atrocious customer service experience. With the Service Manager offering me a $25 discount on the work being performed.
