I am a field service technician on forklifts. I travel all over the state on a daily basis, from…read morecustomer site, to customer site. My service van is the key to my success and day to day operations. I contracted with Safelite to replace my windshield due to large cracks spanning across it. They were supposed to come to my shop in Amherst to complete the work. This company will not schedule for a set time, rather a window of time, mine specifically being from 2pm-5pm... That's fine, I'll just pretty much write off my entire billable afternoon to wait at the shop for them to show up. Early in the morning the day of the scheduled installation. I received a call from their service tech advising me that he was "super busy" and wanted to know if I could reschedule for the morning. I told him that I could not, I am already working at a customer in Cleveland and I will need to stick with the scheduled time frame. The tech sounded agitated and told me he would just then have to "roll with the punches and make it work". I called him back about 20 min later and offered him the location of my next customer in Cleveland and advised him he could do the install on their site while I worked. He refused and said later today is what he will do, still with an aggravated tone. I end my billable day at 1:00pm and drive back to my Amherst shop to wait for the tech and do other tasks while I wait. I called the tech at 2pm to advise I was at my location and was told to be patient. Fast forward to 4pm, the tech calls to advise me that he has miraculously found a scratch in the windshield slated to be installed in my van. I was told there wouldn't be a replacement available until Monday and I would have to reschedule for the same time window on Monday. I'm sorry, but I don't believe a word of it. If it was that easy to inspect my windshield prior to arrival then it should have been done in the morning when he loaded it into his van. The techs desire to reschedule in the morning and subsequent aggravated tone tells me this was his excuse to get out of doing the work as scheduled. Contracting this repair with Safelite has now costed me lost billable hours and I am left with no choice but to reschedule. I cannot and will not do business with a company that is going to cause me such great loss of billable time. I do NOT recommend Safelite for any commercial account. We have over 150 vans fleet wide and have had numerous scheduling and reliability issues with this company. I will be scheduling with a different provider, not Safelite.

This is going to be a long review so you can get the entire story. I have been going to Pallens…read moreAutomotive for probably 25 years or more, I ran an automotive parts store and serviced the Pallens shop and even his one son Michael worked for me. I have two vehicles, my 2012 Chevy Silverado 4x4 and my wife's 2013 Ford escape AWD. My wife's car had a check engine light and a low tire pressure light come on the dash. I've told Tom, Steven, Victor and all of the other mechanics to never put cheap or one year warranty parts on any of my vehicles and from day one I've never complained about a repair bill. Now after calling and telling Steven that the code was 051, a crank case pressure sensor. Steven called and told me to bring the car into the shop Friday at 9:30am and he'll check it out. Now every time I deal with Steven he tells me that he'll check it out and call me but that never happens and we're without a car for two to three days and when I call he tells me oh I gotta check this or I gotta check that when in reality he's blowing smoke up my butt. Well the truth came out that Friday. When my wife dropped off her car she asked when can I pick up my car, now remember Steven told me 9:30am, well it was 8:30am. My wife was to told she could pick up her car at 4:00pm. I picked up my wife at her job in Elyria at 3:55pm and drove straight to Pallens and I'm sitting in the parking lot waiting. Finally she comes out and I asked what's going on and she tells me that the young mechanic just ran out to the parking lot and pulled her car into the garage and changed the sensor. She paid the bill and we leave, driving home on broadway my wife calls me and and says that the check engine light and tire pressure light is still on. I told her to turn around and go back. She's told that Steven will get the sensor from the Ford dealership and she asked about the tire pressure sensor and was told she has to make an appointment even though they stock those sensors. This proved to me that Steven was peeing on my foot and trying to tell me that it's raining. You cannot believe anything Steven tells you. When a man's words ring empty (Stay away) I've had repair bills of $2000 sometimes more and I never complained about any one of them but when you show me that patronizing, your business means nothing that I take my money and spend it elsewhere. Thank you Stephen you save me some money you can blow smoke up somebody else else's you'll never do it to me again.
